It's run what you got. Supra lost, Vette won. There's no replacement for displacement. Supra's are fast as tits, but only able to do so with huge Turbo's, like all JDM's. Vette's don't. A Turbo'd Vette is basically cream of the crop. And it'll be hard finding something to beat it on the street.

@NancyPelosi1954 I have one on my channel of my friends STS Vette. Their suspension is actually really well setup, well the Z06 at least, I'm not sure about the base model. There's a video on YT of a C5 Z06 with only sway bars and Hawk pads taking out F430 Scudiera's on a track, which BLEW me away. Since they are so light and have a good susp. setup already they are excellent track cars. Turbo kits for US domestics are usually a lot more than Import, but with more CI you can run less boost. Big+

Here's the thing if this is a tt supra its either a hks tt supra cranking around 800whp-or more or the stock twin turbo supra that is averaging around 400whp... the vette basically passed up a bpu supra lol. But now you can get a sound performance sequential tt setup for a supra and make close to 1000whp.

Looks like a mostly stock viper vs slightly worked supra vs heavily worked corvette. Unsurprising outcome. but that vette better watch out for those two if they get heavily worked as well.

It will not last. I saw many US "bolt-on" systems lasting just a few hours driving on Autobahn @ high speed. Everything above 8--10 psi will melt your engine (even less psi on a car such as Mustang GT for example, Vette's will last longer). I tried to talk Lingenfelter into issuing an EU warranty, no way was an answer. Because they know it, too.

If your going to make this race absolutely fair then. You would have to compare what was available during their time period stock. A fast car made in 1993 (supra) isn't going to hang with a car made in 2000. LS1 vette. (Although thats questionable) Now if it was a 93 vette vs a supra vs a viper then we have a race. A good on at that. A calloway vette is nothing more than modded vette with someones name on it. (ie saleen, roush, ect ect ect) so technically its a modded car.

First of all the supra is a great car but the ONLY time I see a supra beat a corvette is when it has major mods done to it. All I am saying is that if you take a stock vette vs a stock supra the Vette will eat it alive. Remember Vetts can have mods as well but supras have to have mods and thats the ONLY way they beat a Z06 vette or even the new killer 2009 ZR1. Return your supras to stock and then rev your motors.

Dude, the LS and the 2JZ are strong engines. 8cyclinders and 6 cyclinders. Despite that these two cars are nemesis, you have to face the facts. When both are modded out well, both cars are damn fast. Neither wanting to lose. I have props for both LS and 2JZ. I personally prefer the 2JZ. That block alone can handle 1000hp without a problem.
i agree with that stock bottom end on a 2JZ can take 200mph. And besides they run sequential twin turbo setups from factory for a nice linear power curve. That and the roads in japan arent exactly the longest straightest things except for the Tokyo expressway to really take advantage of a good single turbo.
and the ls can handle 1300hp easy...its been done bro and it was street tuned not 1 time tuned to shit on itself like the supras top speed run...the lingenfelter made a top speed did 50 or so passes and not only that its street legal and drove to and from the event...cant say the same for the supra...just sayn i mean i dont hate on the supra i like it...but "you have to face the facts."

Just because you guys have your ridcuously big turbos doesnt mean anything, its easy to get 1000+Hp out of a v8 without strapping a charger to it, and it'll accelerate faster too because it hasnt got to wait till what, 6000rpm before the boost kicks in.
I have personally raced a twin turbo supra with my 95 firebird and stock they really arent that fast. That supra is beefed the way it took that viper and when the vette passed the supra was most likely coasting waiting to line up with the vette who pussied out and passed him full throttle.
Callaway's work was very impressive for the era. Nobody was so successful with making more turbo systems back in the 70s and 80s. I own one of his 928s and have since upgraded it further. The supra is an inline 6 and when built they are incredibly potent machines.
The Callaway Sledgehammer Twin Turbo is the fastest street legal car ever produced. Faster than a veryon. 1/4 mile in 10.6 seconds, not bad for a 3800 lb car.
A bone-stock Corvette ZO6 can run a 10.98. 10.6 is definitely NOT the fastest street legal 1/4 mile time. My friend has a Callaway and he says his Ford GT is MUCH faster than the Callaway.
2 points i wanna make: Driver of the camera car doesnt know what he's doing, because the Supra driver waving him over (0:16), and moving left. I bet the Supra wanted to line up with the camera Vette. But instead of lining up, the Vette went by full tilt. Second: twin turbocharging the Vette is a pretty major mod. That Callaway is a lot more expensive than that. It's a rare car so dont say its cheap.
Well...turbo V-8's are great and all, but i do have to say...HP/Liter...Inline-6's has more than that. And if you turbo a V-10, 1800 streetable rwhp is quite achievable.

It will not last. I saw many US "bolt-on" systems lasting just a few hours driving on Autobahn @ high speed. Everything above 8--10 psi will melt your engine (even less psi on a car such as Mustang GT for example, Vette's will last longer). I tried to talk Lingenfelter into issuing an EU warranty, no way was an answer. Because they know it, too.

Dude, face the facts. Japenese & German cars are selling better in the US. GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn, Chrysler, & Jeep is out of business. Chevy and ford is right behind them but only after shutting down 100's of warehouses. Thats why they had to advertise their cars in "transformers" in desperation to get consumers to buy their vehicles. That's why TOYOTA was the 1st HYBRID vehicle that sold so well when gas hit prices of $3-5 a gallon. A hybrid sport car would be good MPG & excellent SPEED!

If your going to make this race absolutely fair then. You would have to compare what was available during their time period stock. A fast car made in 1993 (supra) isn't going to hang with a car made in 2000. LS1 vette. (Although thats questionable) Now if it was a 93 vette vs a supra vs a viper then we have a race. A good on at that. A calloway vette is nothing more than modded vette with someones name on it. (ie saleen, roush, ect ect ect) so technically its a modded car.

First of all the supra is a great car but the ONLY time I see a supra beat a corvette is when it has major mods done to it. All I am saying is that if you take a stock vette vs a stock supra the Vette will eat it alive. Remember Vetts can have mods as well but supras have to have mods and thats the ONLY way they beat a Z06 vette or even the new killer 2009 ZR1. Return your supras to stock and then rev your motors.

Dude, the LS and the 2JZ are strong engines. 8cyclinders and 6 cyclinders. Despite that these two cars are nemesis, you have to face the facts. When both are modded out well, both cars are damn fast. Neither wanting to lose. I have props for both LS and 2JZ. I personally prefer the 2JZ. That block alone can handle 1000hp without a problem.

i agree with that stock bottom end on a 2JZ can take 200mph. And besides they run sequential twin turbo setups from factory for a nice linear power curve. That and the roads in japan arent exactly the longest straightest things except for the Tokyo expressway to really take advantage of a good single turbo.

I have personally raced a twin turbo supra with my 95 firebird and stock they really arent that fast. That supra is beefed the way it took that viper and when the vette passed the supra was most likely coasting waiting to line up with the vette who pussied out and passed him full throttle.

Callaway's work was very impressive for the era. Nobody was so successful with making more turbo systems back in the 70s and 80s. I own one of his 928s and have since upgraded it further. The supra is an inline 6 and when built they are incredibly potent machines.

The Callaway Sledgehammer Twin Turbo is the fastest street legal car ever produced. Faster than a veryon. 1/4 mile in 10.6 seconds, not bad for a 3800 lb car.

Well...turbo V-8's are great and all, but i do have to say...HP/Liter...Inline-6's has more than that. And if you turbo a V-10, 1800 streetable rwhp is quite achievable.
