It was a remake only for the GC. This game wasn't released on the PS2.

the graphics weapons and all those stuff reminds me of mgs2 cause they added some new stuff....u start by using a tranqilizer gun and when snake points at the terrorists and says "FREEZE" it really reminds me of it but is awsome.....better than the original mgs1

ive got the essential collection but if u really like extras the original subsistence comes with a second disk, im really glad i held onto that lol
