  • this is wierd

  • Пацандобль!

  • The song name is "Espana cani"

  • Who is performing this version of España Cañí? Which orchestra? Does anyone know?

  • Amazing dancers !

  • 0:12-0:14 was so so so beautiful

  • upsss..uite cum le stim noi pe toate :P ...hahahaha

  • Strictly Ballroom? hahaha

  • They are Professional Dancers ,there is not a fashion contest !!! Maybe its better apreciatte their movements, paso doble is modeled after the sound.. drama and movement of the Spanish bullfight..you notice their passionate look? attitude..top of the body & feet movemets are in the rhythm with music ..perfect steps..of course, they are in Grand Slam Final, they are the best.. I done just 4 years dancesport standard & latin dancing , and paso doble its one of my fav* ..Andreea Marinescu

  • España Cañí is a famous instrumental Spanish piece of pasodoble music by Pascual Marquina Narro . The song was written around 1925. It is also known as the Spanish Gypsy Dance.

  • Without proper ( longer ) skirt there is no paso doble!

  • where can i get this version of spanish gypsy dance? it's not in itunes..

  • i have dance to this song !

  • typical song...there are more pasodobles!!

  • THESE people ARE pro dancer and they KNOW how to highlight the dance with their costumes. just look at the girls in pink. the dress brings life to her movements. I bet all those people talking about how wrong the costumes are for paso doble been watching MORONIC Strictly come dancing.........

  • Great song And Dance but I don't think these are the appropriate dresses for PasoDoble

  • @Astrid257 I don't think they get to change between songs so they probably pick their outfit based on the performance they feel is their best...

  • @MegaSpecialized

To renounce your complaint: the way that the music is written is that way. Espana Cani is the most common song, but they play PLENTY of other music at comps. As a latin competitor myself, I've danced to many other songs, but they are all timed out the same with the same driving beat.

  • i love this vid but i wish they would stop using this song for every competition with paso doble

  • @munstertwinjwatzsin the problem is, that all choreos for paso doble were made for the timings in this song, so that the hoster of the competiotion don't really have a chance to change the song. otherwise if they would, many couples whoud boycott the competition

  • heck yeah! I only just started taking novice dance lessons. hopefully some time in the very distant future I will some day be able to dance like that...

  • Muito bom!!!

  • Maravilloso!

  • teleio

  • @sonique102 actually, that's what it shows, the spanish traditon of bull fights. The man represents the matador and his dance partner represents the capa :D

  • Y a que hora van a bailar? Nunca vi los pasos al ritmo de la musica

  • The guy at 2:10 had his "spirit fingers" goin' on....lol

What an excellent dance. Very well done.

  • Este estilo les queda genial a los europeos. Nadie como ellos.

Pero cuando pretenden bailar ritmos latinoamericanos con las mismas poses y estilos, se ven fuera de contexto con la música.

  • love katsevman and manusova in this vid... they're so cool... :O

  • como se llama este pasodoble?

  • I've been doing dancesport for 10 years now and I can assure you, there's NOTHING easy about it. Takes time, alot of practice, blisters, falls and sweat to get to this level... just like any dance of course.

  • im ten and im a good dancer but i started whrn i was 5 and im reaally good i preformed on dancing with the stars see me

  • uhh no you're not

  • i agree i've been doing it for 8/9 years and i've had exactly the same :)

  • like???

  • just so you guys know, this is probably the most difficult form of dance in the world. and these guys are really not the best at it ether.

  • i can think of so many others for most difficult actually...

  • like the "Sprinkler"?

  • well unless people here aren't all too familiar with non-competitive dances like the lindy hop, i guess i expected way too much on understanding here

  • So it has as much right to be respected as your precious ballet you like so much. Next time just say it doesnt do it for you... not that it looks funny or stupid

  • I believe that some people think this is an easy style to achieve because people on So you think you can dance make it seem like its easy... but actually they are SO WRONG technically in those shows that they only have very few technical aspects in their routines... This style here takes more than 10 years to achieve to the same point as any other style of dance...

  • wow you people really need to chill out im allowed to have an opinion without being called stupid and full of myself thank you

i think what i think and a lot of crazy people on you tube is not going to change my mind!

  • OMGoodness, who is couple No. 4? Absolutely fierce! Couldn't take my eyes off of them.

  • dennis kuztsav and maria tzaptashvili they dont dance together anymore... I do love their ending here very well timed

  • it's been three years ago,,,

  • yep I have to say great partnership but I never understood why they ranked so low... there we're instances when i thought (in terms of look) Maria was starting to look like an anorexic girl but she was probably one of the most athletic and flexible girls out there I loved her jive trick

  • but i believe there were a lot has changed in maria and eugene specially the clarity of their movements....i hope i'll see the old eugene and maria with clear movements and the couple who never look stressful...

  • uhm I was talking about maria tzaptashvili.

But yes something has changed with Maria and Eugene... like they lost that feirceness they had

  • oh...yes, the russian always ranked low even they have one of the best partnership adn dance routine...for me, they're better than the hungarians and italians....they're my favorite couple...and it was very disappointing that they ended up their partnership...good thing maria tzaptashvili continued...

  • I'm not sure lookign at their routines (well sometimes its not exactly the routines, the stokkebroes have the simplest and boring routines but have marvelous execution and technique getting them higher in rankings) ... hmmm maybe its the construction of their routines being maybe a little trick oriented... I don't see anything wrong with her technique

  • joder que baile mas excitanteel mejor de españa por cierto aqui in spain donde se puede aprender a bailar este maravilloso baile

  • The song is indeed "España Cañi " .

  • Well I think bellet dancing looks stupid... I'm not a huge fan of latin dancing but ballet is by far my least favorite. THIS is much more entertaining than ballet.

  • I don't want to be so rude as you to judge sport dance and latin dances, so I will just tell you: CONTINUE WATCHING YOUR BALLET AND STOP JUDGING SOMETHING THAT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION OF SPORT AND ART!

  • Just try to do it... funny girl!

  • I'm surprised at you. I've danced ballet, jazz and even hip hop. I can appreciate all forms of dance, no one type is better than the other. You're either really young or really stupid or really full of yourself, you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • como se llama la cancion?? respondame porfa

  • el pasodoble se titula españa cañi

  • Fenomenal

  • esto es una deformacion.

el real paso doble es el que bailaban mis abuelos hace 50 años

  • aahhh????

  • "Real Latins" are from all over dumb-ass...

  • Geniales!

Que cuerpos tan estilizados. Si no fuera porque son unos verdaderos atletas cualquiera pensaría que ahí hay anorexía.

  • OLE LA MADRE DE LA BLANCO!!!

  • bản nhạc bất hủ. Forever living melody. I heard & love this medoldy since the Vietnam war. very beautiful !. PASO DOB that's what we've known it & that's what's we call it. wish to know the writer of this melody or song.

  • OMG A+++ now this is a real STRONG latin dance... it makes the other dances look so...... sissy-ish :~D

    (I mean well)

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!

  • 5 *****

    daki

  • Great dancing!!! does anyone know the name of the song?

  • Search for "Spanish Gypsy Dance" it's the only song that you can paso to (properly). There's lots of variations of it though.

  • well there are lot of "spanish gyspsy dance"-like songs that could also work great for competitions. like in the world amateur latin final in 2005

  • chacha's more acceptable since in essence it's a very fun dance. with the di filippos' situation, they could max out the playful factor of the chacha and still make it look great.

the rumba seems to be the real challenge. although come to think of it they did pull it off quite well by sticking to criteria and just doing the dance.

  • thrashing and flinging your sister around in the paso doble? that doesn't seem to be a problem with me.

  • Slovenian couple is the best!

  • maurizio and melinda really stand out!

  • best paso doble from M&M

  • wow...........troppo bello

  • he's not at his best here compared to more recent events and improvements like in 2008. the guy is great but this was not his greatest. something was definitely holding him back in this year.

  • you meandi filipo? i could only say that he's got great spin

  • Это великолепно! Nice! very good)

  • Foarte bine.Dansul este arta

  • the russian couple deserves to be in the 3rd place....

  • does anybody know the name of the song????

  • Some version of "España Cañi"

  • spanish gypsy dance

  • by orquesta torres avila

  • neat!!!!!!!!!! I love ballroom speacially the paso. But why is the same song always used for the paso doble part?

  • it's competition. therefore, we need an even setup for the dancers. meaning the same song will be played throughout.

  • because as soon as you hit gold level it becomes more of a routine then a dance were the guy choozes all the steps. and in the paso it stops at certain points. its has to be the same song so the dancers are ready for the pose to look good.

  • "were the guy choozes all the steps"

    and that's team work

  • watch?v=eVdcl-eTtRs copy and paste hear others

  • I love the way Katsevman opens, he has such a serious look.

  • I love this dance.. Amazingly done by these finalists.

  • viva españaaa

  • i believe there's a few seconds of lag time between the video and the audio

Latin American in dance is actually Latin and New Age American

  • ok who was the winner in this contest?? how they can dance with those high heals...amazing

  • US couple

  • dance with those heels is not so hard as it looks ;)

    ranks:

    1. eugene katsevman and maria manusova nr: 01

    3. stefano difilippo and annalisa difilippo nr. 03

    4. evgeni smagin and rachel heron nr. 05

  • viva el españa

  • One of the problems i have with making ballroom or latin dancing an olympic sport is that (luckily) it is an art form not just a sport. As compared to say volleyball or hockey or 200 meter sprint -- no one would seriously say those are arts. In those you get a certain # of points, or the puck in the net or achieve the fastest time to the finish line. The thing is, dancing is an art, not really a sport.

  • so where do stuff like sychronized swimming, figure skating, or even wushu fall under?

  • i personally view dancing

as the sport of the arts.

  • the russian couple have the same beggining as i do

  • anybody can send me this version of espana cani?

  • it's spanish gypsy dance not espana cani the version is bij orquesta torres avila

  • I love this Dance...

  • paso doble- espana cani

  • i can't find that version of the spanish gypsy dance T_T

  • it's from orguesta torres avila try mrtzcmp3(dot)net they have it there i got mine there 2

  • I LOVE IT

  • their movements are so smooth and yet rigid.

its as if theyre fighting in dance form.

    so awesome.

    yeahs... i sound weird -__-

  • Ballroom and Latin dancing should be in the Olympics. The professionals on Dancing with the Stars didn't become amazing dancers in 5 seconds. Michael Phelps didn't become the best swimmer in the world in 5 seconds. So why can't dancing be in the Olympics.

  • the requirements for it to be played as an olympic sport would be tighter and more demanding, thus killing the creativity and expressiveness of the dancers who will compete in it, especially those in the latin dances.

  • Oh. When I really think about it, you are right about all of those requirements.

  • international standard ballroom dances can actually stand a chance of surviving as an olympic sport, though. hope that helps.

  • the requirements for it to be considered as an olympic sport is tight and will practically kill the creativity and expressiveness of the competitors involve, forcing them to focus more on technicalities and such, which will be difficult in their part, especially for the latin dance players.
