  • !Vivan Los Bravos!

  • Los Bravos were a Spanish beat group, formed in 1965, and based in Madrid. Their single "Black Is Black" reached #2 in the United Kingdom in July 1966, and #4 in the United States (the first Spanish group to do so) selling over a million records.

  • @RealUndergroundHead: A one hit wonder is better than a no hit wonder such as Bieber.

  • @SkidRowJosephine Not just in the 60s either. There was a guy with nerd glasses in Elvis Costello and the Attractions (but I forget which one).

  • PRECIOSA CANCION.SALUDOS A TODOS.

  • Not everybody that is a musician can look like a runway model... When you put a band together you pick the best musicians you can regardless of what they look like..

  • 1:28 that was sexy Woow!

  • Mike Kennedy (lead vocals) had a hit in 1972 on ABC Records "Louisianna"

  • They are from Spain but the singer no !!

  • @rgalvez24 Yep. The lead singer is from Germany if I recall it right. Brings back a lot of memories.

  • @coastie378 yeah, a German with the Irish-soundin' name Kennedy

  • Cuentame como paso !

    jeje

  • Spanish group, German singer, English song... this is what I call globalization. Jeje

  • @dquinnc What a cool comment!!! I wish real music got really globalized!!

  • Was it a rule that every '60s band had to have at least one nerdy-lookin guy with glasses, like Los Bravos had? I find it amusing that 9 out of 10 '60s garage bands had the Bill Gates nerd at one position! Ha!

  • @SkidRowJosephine yah, that was the rule, and you had to PlaY by the rules back then. :)

  • @SkidRowJosephine

Have a look at Peter & Gordon (A world without love) - 2 huge nerds making popular music in the 60's. Yes, I think it was a rule

  • @SkidRowJosephine

Oh I understand .....you mean like the STONES, BEATLES, BYRDS, BEACH BOYS, HOLLIES, and all the other WEE bands?

Robin from Mauchline 22nd June 2011

  • @SkidRowJosephine Secretly, I think it was all the same guy.

  • @SkidRowJosephine Oh you're behind the times! Haven't you noticed that nerdy glasses have been back in vogue for like two years now....

  • @SkidRowJosephine I think the guitar player was a big Shadows fan...

  • @SkidRowJosephine and we all know what happened to young bill gates

  • @SkidRowJosephine Rivers Cuomo was in every band there was in the 1960's

  • true i want my baby back

  • HELL YEA, I WANT MY BABY BACK! WHO DON'T? IF U CAN RELATE???

  • Bravo x los Bravos

  • I love The Shadows instrumental version of this..

  • oooh yeah

  • best sound of the euro- song contest , 60, early 70,s i think

  • best sound of the euro- song contest , 60, early 70,s i beleive

  • For anyone not bright enough to figure it out - these are not Mexicans. Nor are they injuns.

Where is the brass and the bell ringer coming from in these supposedly live Black is Black Los Bravos videos?

  • @SkidRowJosephine That's an easy one - At 1:55 you can see they show a brief clip of the other instrumentalists accompanying the band in the shadows to the side of the stage. If you blink you'll miss it.

  • @puggle91 Thanks guy!

  • @SkidRowJosephine Actually, Los Bravos originates from Spain. :)

  • @SkidRowJosephine The Bass Guitar is to your right of the drums. As for the bells, that was probably done on the keyboards as you can d all kinds of sounds on those things.

  • @SkidRowJosephine No, they are not Mexican, they're Spanish. (except for the lead singer.)

  • Comment removed

  • esta es la buena musica. saludos

  • Gene Pitney at his best!!

  • @treerandy I will always believe Gene Pitney did the lead vocal, behind the scenes in the studio, and Los Bravos band learned the song so they could take it on the road. This vid is an obvious lipsync to the studio version. Check their other vids/songs. Do they sound like Gene Pitney? No. Just my humble opinion! :-) I know Gene Pitney sound, it's unmistakable.

  • @treerandy Hmmmmm......I don't think Gene Pitney performed with Los Bravos.

I know that he was a solo performer with songs including "Town Without Pity" in 1961.

However, I'll double-check to see if he did indeed perform in a band. :)

  • españoles q buenos cantantes nos an regalado al mundo
