"The Washington Post has rank me as one of the most independent Senators"
In a field of lock-step Senators, a man who votes against his party once is "one of the most independent Senators." ...and the ethics reform has done nothing to achieve actual ethics.
After the fact, Al Franken has shown himself to be a superb freshman Senator.
well then u better not take a look at that frankenstein guy youre trying to put in office... he is a disgrace to americans and is uglier than frankenstein himself
As a Social Studies teacher this is a wonderful teaching tool. After a proper disclaimer that use of the ad is not an endorsement, students are able to learn some of the techniques used in political attack ads. Follow this up with an attack ad from Michelle Bachmann or Ashwin Madia's campaign and students can directly apply what they learned in the Norm ad to identify attack techniques in the Bachmann and Madia ads. Then maybe we can have a better informed, more rational electorate.
If Norm spent more time talking about his record in the Senate over the past 6 years maybe he wouldn't be behind in the polls. That's assuming that he has a record that Minnesotans can be proud of. So which is it? No record or not a record we can be proud of?

people keep on saying Norm is not from Minnesota, that is true and Al is. BUT Norm has done more things for Minnesota than Al has ever done, Al has mostly made fun of politicians in his career. nothing for Minnesota
Nah, I think they would more talk about how he votes against things like farm subsidies, despite the fact that he's a senator in Minnesota, and farms are having trouble enough.
irony? Franken actually grew up in Minnesota while Norm was living in New York during his formative years. He's been a political chameleon all his life. Minnesota doesn't need another party first, country second, Minnesota third, senator this time around.

Colemen's been serving Minnesota as a mayor and a senator, and actually doing something for the state. Franken's been everywhere but Minnesota helping his own career. I'll grant you that he represents the Democratic party, but he doesn't represent Minnesotans. He's an opportunistic celebrity stranger. No thanks.
They never show you photos with the tubes and sockets attached to the side of his head. I mean come on Norm, turn around so we can see that big pod you got nailed on there, or just let out a honk from one of the horns so people can fully apreciate how all that gear is screwed in.
He hasn't done a thing about war profiteers bilking our tax money, at the expense of dead Americans & innocent civilians.
The companies bail on contractual obligations & send soldiers into danger w/o adequate protection b/c its more cost effective for some to die than all to be armored..
..and Coleman bails on holding them accountable because it would cause PR damage for the President.
He just explained the strategy of all his ads against Al Franken. He can't run from his record so all he can do is attack. Thank goodness there is one candidate Al Franken, who is traveling around Minnesota, talking about the issues that are important to us.
He has explained that at length. Amazing that an anti Coleman person would spend so much time on a campaign website for Norm Coleman. Why don't you spend your energy telling us all of Al Franken's great leadership and accomplishments.
Well unlike the Al Franken page where dissent is not allowed we have trolls here (like yourself) who subscribe just to add negative and deceptive comments.
you're comments are the ones that are decpetive, in fact this video is very deceptive... Norm spends his time talking about how the franken campiagn will make him look instead of looking at what he will do when in office in the future. The latest campaign video from coleman also talks about what coleman has doen but not what he's going to do. Coleman is avoiding the subjects that matter to the people becuase Norm is runnign out of things to promise.
Nothing deceptive here. Franken spends a lot of money spinning and being deceptive of Norm Coleman's record. Why wouldn't Norm fight back and attack Franken's spotty career. I don't want a lot of empty promises from a politician like Franken provides. Norm has provided strong leadership for this state (Ford Plant, Taxes, Defense, Farm Issues, Healthcare), Franken has provided writings about selling the bones of Jesus, rape, and pornography.

Did Norm Coleman ever get that operation where his nose was attached to the Dubya's *nus?
If he did would it come close to being a certain *exual act which is still illegal in Texas.
Hmmmm....this could be a problem...

If you dont know what Norm has done for America, then you shouldnt be commenting on this video becasue obviously you're ignorant.

Tell us more about what you've done for Minnesota, Norm. You've been in Washington for 6 years. Surely you have a record worth running on?

It's funny that you have to defend Norm in the comments of a video where he's trying to preemptively defend himself.

It's funny you troll the Norm Coleman for senate page instead of comment on your hero Al Franken's page.

clever way to pretend you don't have a record of voting with Bush 90% of the time...
Too bad Coleman's ads have to be so misleading. Why can't we just talk about the issues? The issues are 90% of what I care about, anyhow.
