When you go to a trade school, such as MTI, Heald, University of Phoenix, Kaplan, Carrington...schools like that, it's difficult to get a position directly out of those schools because employers are aware that people aren't getting the proper education they need.

My son spent two years in the Phillipines and as a general rule the men don't work. The women work while the men stay home and drink. (Of course that is a generalization). Knowing this gives a litle bit of insight into why this lady feels the way she does.

The average age of engineer graduates was 23 so around 5 years. I'm not sure what this guy was studying at University of Phoenix, but I'm rather skeptical of those kinds of schools.

My relationship wth my mum now is based purely in my faith in God to keep forgiving her, i do my best to not disrespect her, BUT we NEVER are friends and never will... till she owned up her part of the hurt she inflicted. I got healed from depression, but she still stuck in disillusionment...and without a daughter (me). Poor woman.

Is it really that unusual not to have graduated by 25? In my country, if you want to be a MA, you have to study for at least 12 semesters. 16 semesters, if you want a doctorate.

@Timrath I was 26 when I graduated but I screwed around after high school for a few years. The defendant was only going for a Bachelor's degree, thus the reason for JJ to give him a bit of a tongue lashing over the delayed graduation date. Of course alot depends on what you are studying. The average age of engineer graduates was 23 so around 5 years. I'm not sure what this guy was studying at University of Phoenix, but I'm rather skeptical of those kinds of schools.

@hororka666 I'm pretty sure that's impossible seeing as how 12 credits are minimum required for full-time status and most universities have a max of 18 unless you overload. Even then, I've never heard anyone doing more than 20 or 22. 30 would be absurd

Lotsa work to make up for a degree he didn't even get.. which most likely it was mommy and daddy who pushed the son to get a degree. Just saying. I can see his side of it.
