I have also seen bears at the cover but I did not film. When I got back to the east coast everyone was wanting footage.
I hiked Mt Mitchell this summer and observed a large black bear at the tent site on the ridge. The bear was eating a campers backpack. I got too close, or in-between this bear and the next backpack, and it gave me a warning stomp. Check out the video on my channel if ya like.

When I went a few months ago with my parents, brother, and friend, we were driving along the road in Cades Cove, and a bear walked up to our car, kinda sniffed it, then scratched his ass and walked into the middle of the road. He sat there for a good 15 minutes or so, lol.
Nice catch, I can get up at the butt crack of dawn and still never see one, but If I ever do I will SURELY NOT be loud and obnoxious in front of such a defensive creature in their own habitat, especially a pregnant one. & to the person who was taking pics with the flash, you're a jerk, I hope they ruined.

There have been people killed at the cove so I don't recommend getting getting this close.
