This is one of the reasons Disco died. Not the song - the song is a bonifide classic. But it was the fact that the Disco sound was so popular until about late 1980, even established rock acts were starting to jump in the fray. Disco fans didn't like rock artisits going Disco, and Rock fans felt the same. The Disco market started getting oversaturated in '79. The genre was basically dead by the time Reagan took office in January of '81.

Man Leny deserves and deserved SO much more credit than he got back then... When I started buying APP CDs Lenny and Chirs Rainbow songs became for me like the special treats on each CD and I always hoped they had at least one song if not more on the CD I was buying that particular time...

Alan Parsons was an amazing man as both a musician and a producer,the work he did with floyd alone should have gotten him into the R&R hall of fame not to mention the work with APP.An all around great song!

@sscrystal10 Yes, Alan has now a band reproducing the original sound. However, it doesn't include any founder members more than himself. The video you see here is an incredible rarity, featuring all original members in studio. Including Eric, which put this video out of the archives only two years ago, though it was recorded around 1979.

@Nexus974: Even if incomplete, this clip is a rare gem that must be much appreciated. It has been posted by the official site 2 years ago, after 20 years we fans never saw a video of APP playing in studio (although this is most likely a playback - but the musicians are the originals). This video hadn'd been published in eighties. As for why it's incomplete, see my reply to Mikecnw

@Mikecnw: Not only the intro (which is not unusual for videoclips) but all instrumental part and 2nd part. It's possible that the work on the videoclip was abandoned, for the record company hadn't interest, or that it hasn't been published entirely to avoid an improper commercial use of it, saving it for a possible official dvd (it has been published only 2 years ago by the official site, see my reply to Nexus). The question has been posted on the official forum.

I think it's a playback, for Alan used to record a song in long time, one track at a time. Also, you can see Eric playing the loop keyboard (above the piano) only in the intermezzo, while it goes on in all piece.

Obviamente es un montaje, cuando se graba un disco se graban las pistas por separado (asi trabaja Alan) y mas tarde se fusionan, mas aun, no se puede distraer un cantante de la manera en que lo hace Lenny.

De todas maneras si fu probablemente grabado en Abbey.

Hi Loop.. this comes from the off. site: Eric (or Alan) put it out of the archives after all this years, as part of the current discographic relaunch operation. Yes, only we fans realize the rarity of this gem: we never saw before in video the original group performing in studio.
