I don't know they call it Urdu, how much of it is a pure ancient language. Some of it is Farsi, some other is Arabic and majority is English (now) the rest is driven from other indian languages. I think as majority of this language is from other indian languages then it is proper to call Hindi. I have heard that this Urdu language was adopted by Babur specially used for his Army (Afghans call URDU to the Army). Now don't take it offensive. It is just for clarifications. Whatever Pankaj is best.

@poissondelamer Urdu is not a separate language. It is an artificial dialect of hindi with heavy usage of turkish/parsian vocabulary. This song is hindi with with some foreign words. You need a lesson in history and linguistics. :)

orkhan... ghazal is a "FORM"... it was originally a Farsi ('Persian') poetic tradition... so what, the Mughals should have deplored Urdu/Hindustani ghazals because an Indian language with Prakrit roots with Persian vocabulary infusions was polluting the form? Having said all that, this song might lean more towards Urdu vocab.
