  • I think this is the first KCSB video I've ever seen where I can actually hear what KC is playing on the keyboards. Here I thought he was faking it the whole time!

  • To abc1000001: Was your comment a joke or you just make things up like a Seinfeld episode on the original title of War and Peace? LOL I called George in Aruba, it's Rock Your Baby. :-) LOL

  • I seen KC this year I enjoyed it so much I would love to see them again they are my favorite band I am very lucky I got to see them and get his autograph.

  • bellissimo!!! awsomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! thi is the music buddies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that's some "HOT SHIT" right there-4real.

  • love the oldies and the way they dance...makes me feel good

  • A very nice imitation from George McCrae's original hit. But I like the original version from McCrae much better. A nice try from KC and The Sunshine Band.

  • @man975dog these guys wrote the song

  • @man975dog Kc is composed this song for George McCrae..Kc's is the original George is the version.PeACE.

  • This era was the thing!!....Great horn sounding groups back then with a great swing!!!

  • KC wrote this song but when he tried to perform it, it didn't sound the way he wanted it to and thought it would be perfect for George McCrae would be perfect for it. And it was.

  • besides this incredibly talented line up, and the unbelievable groove to this tune, the bets thing about a KC show was the chicks. snuck into a show in the70's when i was 14 - 15 cause my cousin was a doorman, and saw the most beautiful, long legged, platform wearing, bust exposing, silk wearing women of my life! One babe looked at me like I was an ice cream cone, and i've never forgotten her, this band, or that moment. so cool.

  • was he wearing a cape before Elvis?

  • awesome

  • @alicam2 Thank you and as you can see others have stated the same and I appreciate the correction.

  • Had no idea KC and The Sunshine band wrote this song.

  • Comment removed

  • @beroth77 You know what. I never fight but... internet is really a ... mmm... garbage hole. So why not to coarse? Who gives a shit))) So forget it. It is a good chance to reduce the stress and so. Who cannot stand it... well, stay off. If you do not want to jump, stay off the drop zone, right? So for me it is not series this hole called inter-shit-hole-net

  • @Search1110 its true...its a way to reduce stress i agree.but i sugest you find a woman(or man,if you like) its way better for stress reduction ,a good fuck you must be needing.BYE

  • @beroth77 Oh, yeah? Why don't you go with me. Mind?

  • @Search1110 p.s:guess you meant"serious" not series right?i speak bad english by the way really.... but you make me laugh

  • @Search1110 it's a very big sin!!! i agree your commnet!!! i'd try to find some other else video or song by KC but i cant find it nowhere!!! too bad!!!!!

  • @chuckwagen Thanks, I appreciate you letting me know.

  • Nette0828, thanks for correcting me.

  • Just a little note, the song is called "Rock You Baby" not your.

    Good video.

  • actually it's not.

  • @abc1000001 On 1975's "The Sound Of Sunshine" side one, track 2, Rock Your Baby

  • Comment removed

  • @abc1000001 It's Rock YOUR baby

  • @abc1000001 wrong - it's called rock your baby

  • @abc1000001 according to Rick Finch it's "Rock Your Baby"...

  • @abc1000001 Well then it must be misprinted on my KC collection also.

  • Actually, it's ROCK YO MAMA.

  • @abc1000001 You're wrong. As chuckwagen points out. Besides, if the song title really was "Rock You Baby," it would have to be "Rock You, Baby" in order to make grammatical sense.

  • K.C. is smiling throughout the song because he's thinking about all the cocaine he will be doing after the concert. Give me a, "What you talkin' 'bout, Willis?" if you agree.

  • real talent cannot be denied, only boogied to !!!

  • feel like im at stans disco when i was 16 in lebanon pa. 1980

  • This is my favorite song by K C AND THE SUNSHINE BAND. They have talent and sure can make you want to move.

  • take me in your arms and rock meeeeeeee

  • they can dance, just to the beat of a differe nt drummer, just have fun!

  • I didn't KC wrote this for George McCrae!

  • God Bless KC. He has brought such joy through music to so many lives.

I see there are 23 brainless wonders who think otherwise.

  • check out those coooool dudes...man you will never see a group like this today, up on the stage sweating their ass off, so called stars today never sweat

  • I bet K.C. got more black booty than Jimi Hendrix!!!

  • @martydel1 "Both Jimi and KC for the most part-we're into white chicks", just for the record.

  • This is fantastic ! Love the performance.. of a super song! Thanks Aggie for sending :))

  • is it me? or do the black ppl in this video dance better than the white ppl?

  • @iago68 Racist, ur saying white people cant dance?

  • @MrAnderson10000 damn straight. white ppl don't dance as well as blacks. it's simple.

  • @iago68

I dont think so.....Just watch David Elsewhere or Salah....

  • @TheFelnemeti nope. not workin for me. not at all.

  • where i can find this recording on mp3 or audio ? i want to buy this extended version!!!

  • spettacular!!!!!

  • Love,love, love how they're all partying!!!

  • KC had a twist of Parliment and James Brown on stage. Love it.

  • KC talent is boundless - we all know the George McCrae hit but not all realise KC was the man who wrote it. My 14 year old son is a trumpet player and it's bands like KC that keeps him going with the practicing for his grades. Great song.

  • I love how they're all getting down while they play

  • KC was a heck of a visionary...

  • KC, Boz Scags, Bobby Coldwell the coolest white boys with soul!

  • why do they speed up songs i concert??

  • @01tnql This is not speeded up, The George McCrae version is slowed down for the lyrics

  • like :)

  • excellent

  • Beautiful, when music had rhythm. (Jezz I remember my parents saying the same to me when they listened to songs like Glenn Millers "Chattanooga Choo Choo" from the 1940's)

  • my goodness i'm 21 and like this music like i danced on it 20 years ago. Do i have a problem..?

  • I absolutely love the pink turban

  • Isn't "Rock your Baby" considered the first disco tune?

  • can somebody tell me who's the original group for this song? McCrae or KC and the sunshine band ?

  • @tarzan694 This was never a hit for KC and the sunshine band, although they have performed the track. It was written by Harry Wayne Casey (KC) for George McCrae. He also wrote a number of hits for other artist in his early years.

  • The lovely days of my early childhood, boy do I miss them!

  • Still great after all these years. Anyone else hear the Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music" in this, too?

  • @roaringchicken92 NOT AT ALL,SORRY LOL.

  • trop genial cette musique cest un bon le saxo

  • trop genial cette musique

  • Being someone who was born in 1980, the clothes look to be from Mars but the music is from Heaven!

  • one of the best bands ever! Got to see these guys live in 2001 and still put on one hell of a show.

  • This video certainly brings back disco era memories.

  • cada vez que veo este video me entran unas ganas de bailar tremendas, viendo sobretodo como bailan los musicos

  • 23 people without rhythm and soul...

  • Used to judge these guys too harshly, back in the 70's...now I really love this vibe!!! Amazin what a few years can do!!!!....Johnny red

  • McRae's version seems a boring balladafter listening to this amazingly energetic version

  • CONTAGIOUS! these guys are irresistible

  • That one Dude is wearing a lampshade, cool.

  • I will give KC props for writing the song, but George McCrae OWNS this. Amazing song.

  • Those musician totting pimps can sure boogie to the beat !!!

  • Ladies and gentlemen... Dirk diggler on the pjannooo...!!

  • Hey CRJADED----YOU ROCK, MAN! He is the absolute baddass white boy! This guy has soul all through his veins. And not only did he perform these kick ass songs, he effin' wrote them!!!

In my book, the baddest white boys in R&B/Soul music are 1) Harry Wayne Casey, 2) Rod Temperton (of Heatwave and writer of Michael Jackson's best songs, and 3) Daryl Hall.

  • @JimmBailey Good list Jimm. These guys make you forget about prejudice and race. You just want to get down and have fun!

  • @crystal54796 funny

  • Ahh, those were the days when musicians were famous for the music, and not because of A. who they sleep with, B. what they do in their spare time C. Whether they have children D. Media sell-outs

  • The days when the songs on the radio was part of your life. Not like these days when the songs don't mean JACK!!!

  • @Cyberdyne555 No sh*t!!! I totally agree!!

  • i love this music forever

  • i agree that it is cool to see a band playing instruments instead of having everything synthesized. I like it when bands have talent other than vocals. brings back a lot of good memories. its amazing how when you hear a certain song, it takes you back to a particular time in your life. great song.

    Gaylene N.Z

  • @gaylenewm - I can send you the mp3 via email if you like. It's from the 25th Anniversary collection and I believe it is the original. It's 9.49mb and should be small enough to send through email.

  • Depois me chamam de museu, não tem importância, pois cada momento é vivido uma vez e eu quero reviver varias vezes nesse som. Coooooisa boa.

  • @saraiva297 Tô contigo e nao abro brother!

  • Why were the 70s cool? Because back then an artist could sing and dance...and PLAY THEIR MUSIC. Now days they just sing and dance while session musicians play all their music.

  • @ouchyg Actually, the original Sunshine Band was comprised of studio musicians. Do a little research.

  • I was born just a bit to late to enjoy this stuff in nightclubs. Just missed out on studio 54 too. Love this song. My mom used to listen to this on her 8 track. :)

  • KC knows how to make you dance

  • Wow,I didnt know KC and the Sunshine Band wrote this song.

  • Yep, KC wrote it but he couldn't sing that high (so he brought George McCrae in). Guess he still couldn't couldn't sing that high...so he made it an instrumental. lol

  • same player shoot again ! that 's music

  • Heavy Elvis inflence going on there

  • @jinkjack How is that so? If you look at the fashion trends of the 70s you'll note that many musicians from different genres of that decade wore similar outfits

  • OOOOOOOOOh get down!!!

  • KC wrote it, George Mcrae sung it. And from that you got MFN GOLD!

  • I remember going to nightclubs dancing all nighters to this stuff. Sweating like anything and nobody gave a shittt. drunk until you could not walk and all the cops did was help you make your wobbly way to the taxi rank. Times have changed. Hope we can get the good times back for our kids.

  • Time Machine? LMAO. I got news for you idiots, peolple were just as miserable back then as they are now. Back tnen people were whining about the good old days of the fifties, and so on.

  • si en un verano cansado escuchas esta musica sonar, quita de tu cabeza el trabajo y empieza a bailar... shake, shake, shake!!

  • Love the music... this band was awsome!

  • God how I wish I lived in the 70s!

  • @xTelha It was better, except for the fact that there was no YouTube and you actually had to buy records and stuff. Also, I had dandruff.

  • im only 14 and i like these songs haha its pretty solid

  • I still play KC at family picnics and the kids are like OMG who is that. Still good dancing music. And us old folks are like wow that was good music thanks for brining us back.

  • Wasn't there a verson of this song by another artist?

  • @weatherboi Yes, by George McCrae

  • @weatherboi George McCrae

  • KC definitely had the best dancin rythym section ever put together..the trombone dude could have excelled on Soul Train he had some nasty steppin action...oh yeah-they rocked too

  • love the cape!

  • Super gute Version von Rock Your Baby, die kann man sich sehr oft hintereinander anhören.

Die KC waren auch eine geile Band.

  • KC COULD JUST LOW DOWN THE KEY IF HE DIDN'T REACH THE HIGH NOTES(BUT I'M SHURE HE COULD REACH SINCE MCRAE USES FALSETTO)So that's not the reason his version is only instrumental .Peace

  • Happy music! I was smiling boogieing in my seat!

  • lived im miami in 74...remember it well

  • i love kc and the sunshine band. i've been a fan sense i was 14 and that was in the 80's. i had a crush on kc.....i thought he was so cute even when he gained weight he was so cute. i wish someone would bring back disco because disco rules and who ever said it sucks hated it. BRING BACK DISCO, BRING BACK DISCO!

  • Disco is not dead!

  • @talesofdork

It will never die because the beat simply refuses to die!!!!

  • I need to get one of those outfits...

  • Yea lets go back please ! I need a time machine
