  • Thats pretty awsome Bro.

  • Nice video. Those were some big pike!

  • Beautiful video. Good instructional value. Will be looking at more.

  • @10pennsy Thank you so much, I love the comment and am happy you watched the video. Tell me about you?

  • I've seen your video on the ultimate bug out location, but this one is so much better. It shows all that you did, and I love it that you and your son did this together. There are some great memories and you can tell that he had a blast doing this with you. Keep the videos coming.

  • @danzak44 Thank you, I like this video way better than the ultimate bug out one yet that other one has like 30 some thousand views, probably more than that, I havnt checked the views in a week or so. Building the tent was fun, and its a place where when the kids do get up there for things like deer hunting or whenever, we are together. Its always fun and we are in a small space when inside so we get to laugh and talk. Thank you, make more videos, I like your channel. Joe

  • @JoeandZachSurvival Thank you for your comments and your welcome. What got you started on doing the videos in the first place? It seems like a great way for you and your son to do fun stuff together and to have it recorded. BTW, Great looking deer!

  • @danzak44 I will be honest like usual, Zach started the channel, and it must have taken him 2 months to get me to do the intro video, I was like.. C,mon, are you serious? ughhhhh. but he is my "big guy" so I did it and then I dont know what the heck happened, here we are at lots of videos, and its fun. Thank you, there is more to tell, and I hope we keep responding. : ) Joe

  • thats just awesome!

  • @romeodelta1178 Thank you for the comment. This video hardly gets any views comapred to the one I have called the ultimate bug out location where it shows the tent in video and myself I like this one much better. Thanks for watching : )

  • @romeodelta1178 Thank you, it was alot of work to get it to where it is now, but it was well worth it.

  • Beautiful job guys. You two are a real inspiration. I was considering doing this as a project myself. Approximately how much did building the tent cost?

keep up the great work guys

  • @MonkeyKing2378 Thank you for your nice comment, I cant put a number on it, I build houses so the plywood and the framework lumber didnt cost me anythung and I found a person who worked commercial roofs and he would take the old 4 inch foam and sell it for 10 dollars a sheet so I got a good deal on that. The tent I bought brand new and I believe was around 600.00. We built everything ourselves including the table. There is alot of time involved. but alot of fun. Thank You.

  • Great video guys.. You are livin my dream.. It's a beautifull place.. But why the tent and not a solid cabin.. I'm in Ontario Canada .. I just looked at a place in northern Ontario about. 4 hour drive .. I live it but can't talk the wife into it .. Oh well the dream continues

  • @shipyardbob Thanks for the comment, If you watch some of the other videos we have, I explain it in some of them. The tent is up now and has been for about 4 years, it will be a couple more for sure before I build the regular cabin. The tent is now 75 feet from the lake but the new laws are that any solid structure be 100 feet back so the cabin will go directly behind the tent. When the day comes that the tent has to come down, it will be a sad day even though the cabin will be much bigger.TY:)

  • Its funny because there is a verzon cell tower about 2o miles from the tent, its the only service up there that works and at the tent I get a solid 4 bars of service sometimes the full 5. I bought a wireless modem hotspot that can take up to 6 devices and its working great. Its wierd to be so far from any town that has any size to it and be able to have internet. If you go down the road about 20 miles, there are houses that have wind and solar and diesel because there is no electric to get.

  • It is private property, it was a 40 acre piece and now with the folks retiring I bought all but 5 acres that their cabin is on. The property is surrounded on all sides by the Superior National forest, so even if it was one acre your golden because thats national forest is over a million acres,I could walk to Canada from the tent and never once cross a tar road. all my deer stands are on Nat forest property. There is no noise restrictions where I am at, thats only in their campgrounds.

  • wow, look how young zach looks in the beginning. he is growing so fast.

is this private property? i remember something you said about your parents being near by....but then later you said there was regulations on noise pollution when you were discussing the generator. how is it you are on the internet out there? i will write you at a later date because we would really like to know more about this process.

  • Wow, you guys did a wonderful job. I now know who to call on to help me get an off grid homestead build done. LOL. I really like how it all turned out. I've watch at least 10 of yalls vids now and I must say i am extremely impressed. Great job *****

  • @wesleyakachino

Thank you for the comment, I appoligize for not responding sooner, I didnt see it, I thought this was one I had replied to. If you need any ideas or advice on wall telts, stoves for wall tents or whatever, just email or message me or whatever, I have had several of them, not this elaborate a set up all the time, but I could help with any questions you would have. I have one that was custom made and I have poles for it and it fits on an 8x10 snowmobile trailer. Thank you again.

  • I really like this! :D :D

  • That is a beautiful video! You guys make a GREAT team!!
