Hi Frank. I think I'll try this one. But, PLEASE correct the typos in the sidebar and add punctuation for commas sake! There's only one period! Eeeeck!
Your punctuation will work. When I did this poem, my words were more of an emotional thought experiences like being in Flanders Fields. I should have cut and pasted the text without any punctuation.
I am honored that you would want to do one of my poems.
Hopefully I'll be able to post some videos with better sound quality, and hope your prediction is right.
I shall remember your words if I ever succeed in any way.
I didn't really know what to expect when I started watching this video, but it's really beautiful. Soothed me in a strange way, it must be your voice and the background music.
I wasn't familiar with Wilfred Owen's, so I did a Google search. Thank you for introducing me and it makes me wonder if my Dad who was a veteran of World War One read him.
You are a remarkable man Ockteby. Creatively talented, you convey so much emotion & atmospheric resonance. I can almost *feel it.* - Thank you for sharing your "self" with us here. My love to you, Kierri xxxx :o)

That's really stirring - "to sleep forever in a strange but beautiful land..." Listen to the wind. Excellent.

Thank you so very much for making this available. It's sadly beautiful and the background music has always been haunting. Naomi

Thank you Naomi. When I wrote this I was thinking of all mothers regardless of ethnicity who gave there sons and daughters for good and bad causes.

When I wrote this, I was thinking of all those throughout the history of the world who paid the ultimate price.

Wonderful, it reminded me of Wilfred Owen's 'Dulce et Decorum Est'.
