OK, do you remember the Who? Of course you do. They are stuck in a rut where they have to play their old songs; My Generation etc whereas P.Weller saw that this was an inevitable part of being a successful band. He stopped the band before they became :from the jam" not writing new songs but performing like monkeys to the crowds delight.
@sillyduffers Have you seen Weller recently? Doesnt play any of the old stuff does he? - The sooner he cootons on to the fact that it really is ok to do it with these two again - the better.
they were FANTASTIC while they lasted...I'm forever grateful for all that I've experienced with this band!!,..So Glad I was there when they we known as The Gift...cause it truly WAS!!..thanks Rick...and thanks Tiiimmm for capturing Rick doing what he does best!!..;-) XX
screw weller? errm rem most of these songs were written by the hand of weller sonora. as 4 the sound of the jam yes all 3 were all part of what made them & still different today. seen them in l'pool twice fantastic. but still c weller throw in the jam classic is a joy to hold.
Proof (as if it were ever needed) that Jam songs are still relevant today. Weller says he wants only to look forward, so why does he still play Jam song live now? FTJ are as close as we will ever get to The Jam live. Long live FTJ. Screw Weller.
There was always something special about this track, brilliant choice to put this into the live set. Keep up the good work FTJ. Great vid Tiiimmm, thanks for posting it.
Saw the band in Cork. A magic night. They really do care about the fans-this is for love not money. Long may they prosper and keep gigging- do not doubt-go and see.Dave
Great concert from a great band - though a little too short at one hour fifteen minutes. All the hits played, except Beat Surrender. Who would have ever thought The Jam in Northampton!!

I love this song. The one song on This is the Modern World that had the future classic Jam sound. From the Jam are worth it, go and see them.

Wish FTJ would play this live at every gig....really is a cracking live track and was the redeeming factor of The Modern World.
