I  love their contrasting clothes...Donovan is wearing cosmic pajamas and John looks like an elementary school teacher.

Plus, I never knew John Denver had a T.V. show.

Ah yes I remember them well. Thanks for posting these. Wonderful to see him so young and fresh again and you can still hear him regularly on BBC Radio 2.

Yes you see lots of moans and groans about the Beeb but honestly you can't beat it. Funny how some US stars were better appreciated here in the UK. The Harry O series was shown on BBC and was a prime time show on Saturday evenings. Yet another that wasn't appreciated in the US and the show was cancelled,

John Denver had a show on the BBC?? Wow! The only JD shows I remember when I was growing up were his Christmas specials.

Yes, he did six of these shows, and they were produced before he did the shows you remember.

He must have had quite a following in the UK to have had his own TV show! I'm in France now, and most folks here have never even heard of him : (

Strangely, he was hardly known in the UK in 1973, and he had yet to make it back home. A year or so later he became a huge star.

Thanks for posting this gem. God bless the BBC...there are so many classic postings from BBC shows. I don't know how the copyright laws differ, but it's a sure bet that had this been on an American TV network the lawyers would have pulled it by now.
