It's obvious that a city-wide, ultra-expanded subway network is preferable to the LRTs planned by Transit City. However, the latter is possible and feasible while the former isn't remotely possible, given the exiguous support of federal and provincial governments. Thus, Transit City is currently the best thing we can do.

Building a subway system would cost more than double, as you stated in the video.
Unless you can secure provincial and federal funding for the majority of the project, then we will never see new subways in Toronto.
Why the resentment towards LRT? Most of the new proposed routes are for dismal car-oriented streets. Sheppard, Finch, Jane and the majority of Eglinton have abysmal public realm and pedestrian activity.
Let's reconnect our city with LRT instead of waiting unpredictable funding.

She needs to look around at neighbourhoods that have streetcar routes; they're doing fine. Some areas that received the subway (eg Danforth from Pape to Vic Park) are still trying to recreate what they lost when surface transit disappeared.
Mrs. Thomson should be running for councilor, not mayor.
Even if she likes to learn to swim by jumping into to the deep end, it's not good for this city to have a mayor who only learns how cities work while in office.
to be nicer, youre right. 1, don't do polls yourself, you discredit any research youve done so far. 2, at 1:30 you say expand subways or "just" add more cars. you added bias and influenced the poll. that's all.
I can't believe lisamarieofto thinks that the owner of a media company is a "reporter" but what gets me most is that instead of supporting a woman trying to make a difference she criticizes her. Why are women so critical of other women? Lisamarieofto are you ugly or something?
