  • support your HEALTH and organic farmers buy ORGANIC MEAT

  • propaganda makes me hungry :]

  • It's been made simpler, and with enough references to the Matrix, so kids can understand and be interested in it. So some of the facts have been skewd and exaggerated. But the essence is there and if you feel like researching the real facts then do so.

I could never be a vegetarian but I always make sure we get products from family farms and free range animals.

  • shit in our meat I'm sorry I have no problem in eating meat (but I do think the animals should be treated better and I agree that the stuff they do to animals is cruel) the only problem in this video is that the chicken has boobs now every time I eat chicken Breast I'm gonna think about this and rofl

  • Meat packing is not the most dangerous job, companies do actually care about worker safety (otherwise there would be lawsuits), fecal contamination can occur, but not like you just showed above. And you are just as likely to get E. Coli from pre-prepared salads as you are from meat.

  • i love that pig XD

  • Did you have to make the main character so annoying?

  • Some of it is true a lot of it is... But this is biased.

  • @LoveEatsPeople:

Yeah, and so are all meat and meat products commercials you see every day. But you don't ask yourself that, don't you?

  • a very innocent depiction of what really is happening

  • @Devoti Yup.

  • this is wrong. i mean the video... not right at all. just brain washing you!!!

  • enlighten us, as to how we are being brain washed

  • So reality is brainwashing, what do you call your imaginary world?

  • @drewlangman How?

  • awesome job!

  • bluewavecost?

Plants habe no nervous system and cant feel pain or fear. it has no emotions and even other aspects of an animal, ur argument is nonsense.

ye the lion king... Meateater animals have just INSTINCTS they cant decide or philosopize about what they eat. Btw Lions are natural Meateater, Humans are no Meateater, or do you remember monkeys that eat meat? do we havedenture of a meateating individual with fangs? and a short bowel like meateating indiciduals ? NO !

  • @Vegetarianforever90 Your argument is incorrect as well. We have "fangs" and molars that makes us omnivores. Therefore we techincally can eat plants and meat. Dont get me wrong i dont agree with factory farming but animals were out on earth for us to eat, if we werent suspposed to eat meat then god wouldnt have given us "fangs" or we wouldnt have evolved. whatever you beleive

  • Why didn't Moophis just tear the ropes off and kick the dudes ass right away?

  • Didn't anyone watch the Lion King? It's the circle of life people. Everything in nature eats other things to live. You could make the same cartoon with corn and carrots. They think they're just growing like other plants, but why are they in these strange rows? What is the meaning of it? OH CRAP, WHAT IS THAT GIANT MACHINE COMING TOWARDS US!?!? AAAUGH, IT'S PICKING ALL THE CORN AND SLICING THEM TO DEATH! CURSE THE WHEATRIX!!!!!

  • Dude, it's not the fact that people are eating meat, it's that the meat industries are using inhumane tactics for raising and killing the animals and it's disgusting.

  • yeah with the only difference that carrots aren't sentient beings... so you're a moron!

  • I may have to think twice before eating that steak and drinking that milk. I can I know if they are made organic and free range?

  • Exactly! Morgie, this IS real. Read into the Meatrix and you will understand.

  • i want a meatrix 3!!! =]

  • I will eat even more meat now

  • brilliant

  • Yet again I am disgusted by total disregard for facts. After watching the third video, I'm inclined to think that the makers haven't even visited a slaughterhouse.

    [BEGIN RANT]

The picture you paint here is outdated. This describes the conditions of Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle", and is not a realistic description of today's killfloor.

    [RANT tbc]

  • Although I am a vegetarian I too was disgusted by the portrayal of the slaughterhouse. My uncle is a butcher and this animation is way of. Now, let's see the real world.

PS - that doesn't mean I'm keen on meat being sold to eat, but if you want to let other people think about their meat consumption, do it with facts, not with make belief.

  • Don't be a dumbo. This is real. It has been going for a while. Welcome to reality. I am a member of PETA, The Humane Society of the United States, Has4animals, Free Range... I think that you are brainwashed. I have joined the Meatrix, and I think that if idiots like you are going to get in our way, we will protest until this is gone. I have a plan. And I think that if I journey to a factory farm, that I will sue McDonald's.

  • i would like to point out that this video is 2 and a half years old (look at the date above the description), so possibly slaughterhouse conditions were that bad then. tbh i know shit-all about slaughterhouse conditions other than what has been shown here and what you have said, so either of you could be right or wrong, or each have their own grains of truth within.

  • @sitylites Open your eyes man OUTDATED?! This cartoon is a depiction of what really happens, if you don't believe it maybe you should watch the real thing in the documentary "earthlings"... These practices are by no means 'not a realistic description of today's killfloor", they are a very accurate, depiction. I think this series should be made longer and then shown in all schools for children 8th grade and below. 9th Grade and up should be shown the real thing, as depicted in "earthlings". Peace

  • [RANT ctd.]

When cattle carcasses are on the hook, they've already been eviscerated, halved, are clean, and hang upside down. None of this is the case in this portrayal. Slaughtering is a very clean and intricate process. Federal inspectors work overtime to keep up with ensuring that our meat is safe to eat. When slip-ups do happen, recall programs overreact to ensure that we are eating safe meat.

    [RANT tbc]

  • [RANT ctd.]

As for the E. coli blurb: E. coli is impossible to fight against within the slaughter floor. E. coli often contaminates ground beef, and the packing industry does what it can to prevent contamination via pasteurization. However, ground meat is as likely to be infected by E. coli as you are likely to have E. coli on your hands. The only way to guarantee 100% that your beef is E. coli free is to cook it above 160 deg.F—and that's not the slaughter's responsibility.

    [END RANT]

  • Good god! This is rotting brains. Why do people care? Animals only sit in those cooped up pens for 2-4 weeks then they are killed. Things die. And plus it's the food chain. Anyone who went to the primal state of humanity would eat just about anything. Shut up hippies!!!

  • and when you have diabetes, cancer, and other health issues in a few years, maybe you'll understand where us "hippies" are coming from...or maybe you'll just be dead, but by your words, oh well, "things die".

knowledge of and eating foods that are actually healthy for your body are nothing 2 be 'ashamed' of.

    ignorance is NOT bliss

"Anyone who went to the primal state of humanity would eat just about anything."-what does this mean anyway?

some people's brains r already rotted

  • but wat was life 4 the farm animals before, it was roaming in fields and humans milking cows by bucket and hand.

I know u are not that cow pig or chickin in this situation but how would u like to be i there shoes???

  • This video isn't about cruelty to animals. It's about health and hygiene conditions in the food industry. When did you hear them say "don't eat meat"? That's right-they didn't. They tell you to look for ORGANIC meat - More expensive, but at least you won't catch some disease from it.

Speaking of meat, I gotta go get a couple steaks.

  • speciesist....humans don't need meat to survive

  • Correct. You can help the Organic rebellion by eating organic food like brocoli, yogurt, that kinda stuff.

  • I agree, there might be some stuff we need like iron for bones,(not that I know any of this-)but I am sure there is another way to do it.

  • Using a helicopter with a giant machine gun would have been cooler.

  • Notice how everyone here is getting famed while there will always be dipshits that mess up everything

  • Stupidst thing on youtube...

  • This is the "stupidst" thing on youtube when you can't even spell stupid?

  • Go to a slaughterhouse, I can guarantee you that the conditions are nothing like what is portrayed in these films.

  • actually there are undercover videos that prove otherwise. visit meat dot org

  • Thank you! Finally, someone who doesn't believe everything they see. Slaughter floors are very clean, federally inspected, and perhaps America's greatest defense against spread of food-borne diseases.

  • Care to give me an example?

  • There are kill floors that are as you described: clean, efficient machines that are frequently inspected and reasonably humane. But, from my research and what I've seen of MOST farm and slaughterhouse footage, MOST large facilities are of the horrid and filthy variety.

  • Then you woke up!

If there wasn't manure on and in the meat, we wouldn't have E.coli outbreaks.

MANURE IN THE MEAT, it's what's for dinner.

  • [savage676] You're wrong.

  • Yeah.

Everything is real instead of cartoons.

  • @Savage676 watch earthling, i guarauntee you'll be suprised, and maybe even feel a little stupid

  • cool and true but not a massive deal just watch out and clean ur meat

  • That's the stupidest thing I've ever read. Yeah, "clean your meat", ya know since e coli and mad cow just washes off in a warm bath.

  • Thanks for spreading well needed truth. I had to give up a favorite fast food, Taco Bell because of the Ecoli scare. When I saw this film I learned WHY such things happen. Pure greed and negligence of human life. I am going to try and be vegan. God is love, and I can't feed greed knowingly, without a good fight and still call myself a good person. Thanks for opening my eyes Meatrix crew.

  • how is this vegetarian propaganda. it is just showing the public how meat is processed etc and i think it brings light to these topics really well. to think tht feaces dripping out of the intestines of hanging meat is dropping onto the food below is disgusting

  • In the end it said "Cut the crap!" LOL.

    ~Camelle

  • I was just reading about the new E Coli variants that occur in factory meat due to fecal contamination, and about the cover-ups of repetitive stress injuries, amputations, and other severe, frequent accidents in meat-packing plants.

I'm a masters-level-trained, board-certified professional, yet... there's a lot about the world that we just don't know unless someone tells us. I'm very, VERY thankful for the so-called "propaganda" wing of the organic food movement.

  • The Meatrix is NOT vegetarian propaganda.

It aims to encourage consumers to purchase organic food products and free-range meats.

  • ...which is what vegetarian propaganda is. Thanks for defining it.

  • Are you an idiot? "vegetarian propaganda" that promotes (free-range) meats? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

  • Burnout its not vegetarian propaganda, its just being a responsible human being, it is definatly not saying that meat is bad, you should eat vegetables and protein supplements instead.

  • that was great it really effected me

  • When are they going to release the 3rd one?? Anyone know? I was told it only takes about 2 months to make these. What's with the long wait??

  • We're a really small nonprofit and have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response so we're still responding to The Meatrix, The Meatrix II: Revolting and The Meatrix II 1/2 - we're not even sure if there will be a TM3 - still trying to figure that out.... It most likely won't be an online film though - we want to do something more. We'll keep you posted!

  • i think that was it yeah they can go on and go on but i think its all said so that was the ending

  • Nope, didn't work. I'll still buy my meat from the lowest bidder.

  • Good for you.

  • Enjoy your food poisoning.

  • wow good job guys, congratulations! i'm really looking forward to seeing the next!

  • This is what actually happens (sort of) In meat factories. What else did you think? Don't kid yourself, it dosen't start off as wrapped in plastic. Get over it.

  • RE-TAR-DED

  • Let me quote Homer Simpson: "If we are not supposed to eat animals, then why are they made of meat?"

  • that was for a lasias vegitarian thing we need meat to keep our bodys in working order however like in the videos ecloie mad cow diese ect can happen becuase of this

  • ALTHOUGH I AM VEGSN THIS MADE ME LOL

  • zing

  • Ugh..this is enough to make me vegan!

  • hey guys, as far as I am concerned, the point here was not to convince you to be vegetarian, but to suggest you not to consume from agricorps. if u want to get ur chicken wings, just make sure it came from a farm that produces organic food. very straight forwards.

  • LoL!

  • This is kinda funny, but it's really kinda sick too. :-S

  • U are absolutely right...

  • lovely....

  • Eat Organic!

  • I love animals, they're delicious!

  • hot chicken lol

  • EAT MOR CHIKIN! :)
