There are kill floors that are as you described: clean, efficient machines that are frequently inspected and reasonably humane. But, from my research and what I've seen of MOST farm and slaughterhouse footage, MOST large facilities are of the horrid and filthy variety.

I was just reading about the new E Coli variants that occur in factory meat due to fecal contamination, and about the cover-ups of repetitive stress injuries, amputations, and other severe, frequent accidents in meat-packing plants.
I'm a masters-level-trained, board-certified professional, yet... there's a lot about the world that we just don't know unless someone tells us. I'm very, VERY thankful for the so-called "propaganda" wing of the organic food movement.
Burnout its not vegetarian propaganda, its just being a responsible human being, it is definatly not saying that meat is bad, you should eat vegetables and protein supplements instead.
We're a really small nonprofit and have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response so we're still responding to The Meatrix, The Meatrix II: Revolting and The Meatrix II 1/2 - we're not even sure if there will be a TM3 - still trying to figure that out.... It most likely won't be an online film though - we want to do something more. We'll keep you posted!
