Whilst I think it 'cute', I am also aware that dogs, even the most placid, are still animals and have animal instincts. They do not have ethe same emotions as humans and unless you have witnessed first hand the sudden change in 'play' of a large dog, no matter how well trained or how sensible the owner, you can have no idea how potentially dangerous this 'play' is with such a small child. Just my opinion

@ppauline1515 i disagree Dogs care alot more then humans you can beat on a dog all you want when your feeling sad and it will always come back to you and try to cuddle with you they are more safer then a human is with a child because they care more and i'm around dogs every day

I agree with helenmcuk. Ok, the mother was present, but humans aren't the only species to snap. Their have been stories of dogs becoming jealous of babies when babies get more attention than dogs, and this can affect a dog's mentality. Yes, potentially, an accident waiting to happen.
