What SweetiePieAriesGurl saying is true. If people want a dog that don't shed just get a Poodle or a Airedale Terrier their are plenty of dogs that don't shed.
labs shed goldens shed mixing in a poodle doesnt make it "hypoallergenic" ur just adding more insult to injury bc people dont know how to take care of a doodle properly and get it the right grooming it needs causing the dog to have dander under the matts which in fact u paid hundreds of dollars for NOTHING people are allergic to the dander not the hair!
these dogs were created bc of people who have allergies to dogs...breeding something with a poodle doesnt make the dog any less allergy prone simply bc ur just adding to the fact that the one breed ur putting with that poodle is prone to skin issues and is in fact a top shedder out of the dog breeds...
Our "doodle" Sashi is seven years ago and is the perfect dog for us. I was looking for a walking companion and she is always up for this; if the weather is inclement, she will treadmill. No doggy odor when she gets wet, minimal shedding (which amounts to little "puffs" of fur and easy to clean). She will bark if someone comes to the door, but wouldn't hurt anyone. She gets along well with our two cats but does like to chase them at times.

Goldendoodles are in some ways better than a golden retriever and poodle. They have whats called increased vigour. Thats a fancy way for saying the F1 mix is actually healthier than both purebred parents. Sounds pretty good to me.
any dog that is a mixed breed is a mutt not a designer dog...people are paying way too much for a dog that is basically backyard bred just for the dollar signs in their pockets. go to a shelter and get a mix of dogs that arnt going to cost you thousands of dollars for bc they are exactly the same...these arnt even pure bred its just one breed of dog with another as if u n ur neighbor decided to breed your dogs bc they wernt spayed/neutered. Our families going to get a goldendoodle within the next few weeks, exciting times. We've had two dogs previously a springer spaniel and a golden retriever, both were amazing and were well loved. It seems strange to think that there is a goldendoodle puppy just starting out in life that will be dog number three and have just as fantastic a life :) I feel love for her already.
I think if someone paid more than 100 dollars for one of these dogs the got ripped off they could have got a shelter dog called it a cool designer name and saved themselves money because a dog is worth something usually when it has papers, or when it has a breed standerd. A dog that has no papers is just as good as a pound puppy.I could probable go to the pound and get a "designer dog" and pay like 100 for it but I wouldn't because I feel all mixed breed dogs should be free they are not a breed!
Definately not the perfect pet and they are as great as a mixed shelter dog. Everytime I see one I just think pound puppy. I think I'll get a dog from the pound find out what it is mixed with and then combine the names to come up with a cool sounding desiger dog name.Then maybe later I'll breed a bunch of dogs together and create a new dog breed and sell the pups to people at about 500+ a pup but u know they won't have papers because they are not a reconized breed but hey people will buy them.

The kids i babysit own a goldendoodle, and they leave it inside a crate all day. Its terribly cruel, because goldendoodles can be very very energetic and hyper. So anyone planning to get a goldendoodle, make sure you will have plenty of time to get it the exercise it needs.

I have a Goldendoodle. And he is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my husband. He is a lover, loves all other animals and children. And not a day goes by that he doesn't turn heads. He's truly amazing. And sucha babe.
Hey! OK, so my hilarious, funny, doofus of a goldendoodle Teddy recently passed away. We just shared a bond i never would have thought of! He passed away of a bad infection and i miss him so much! I know that its early but i need another Dood in my life, i know that he would not be mad if i would get another dog but he would have wished i would have gotten him when he could play with him! i love him to death and this breed in my opinion is the best one available (except for the grooming). i am very happy after reading this video however because it says they can live to 15 year which is longer than i anticipated. if you wanna get a pup get on from a good breeder and you have a new best friend :)

@TINBITZPHAM very true i like this fact and the fact that every groomer shaves the breed down bc people dont know how to brush their dogs. I work in a grooming shop and they are not only a terror on the table n in the tub but the owners think u can work miracles on the dog that they never brush and is matted to the skin bc poodle hair is the worst on any dog its like cotton and matts without effort no matter what its mixed with.

The dog had to go through all this stress because of it's dumb owner wanting it to have a longer coat and never brushing it. Imagine standing for 5 hours! with people tugging on your skin!

@ghattan117 Most Doodles don't shed, especially if you get an F1B (Goldendoodle backcrossed with a Poodle, just like my Delilah). As far as the smell goes, my doodle Delilah doesn't reallly have that "doggy odor," she smells more like corn chips XD

Although they are very smart, sometimes they have that look that is like Eyore, just dopey and sleepy and tongues flapping in their eyes!! And they are so easy to train!! At two months old I taught him "sit" "stay" and "come" in just a couple days. And the temperament! Omg! He loves little kids and wouldn't hurt a fly!! These are the best dogs a family

@FeriousFerret A Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are great for allergies but if a Golden/Labradoodle is bred with a another poodle if should have a lot less dander that causes allergy attacks.

@smileyyy4568 goldendoodles are very smart dogs, so if you just train it properly, it shouldnt be a problem. and what makes it easier, is that goldendoodles are friendly with other dogs.

For those who don't know, Purebred means when an animal "breeds true", meaning you take two dogs, breed then, and you can predict what you get. They even said in the clip that coat types can vary from flat, wavy and curly, whereas goldens are always flat and poodles are always curly . . because those are actually purebred, goldendoodles are glorified mutts (however cute, sweet, and loving they may be)
they r kinda ugly......... they look like poodles pretty much. when they r puppys, they r golden retriever looking and when they are older they look like poodles. :( kinda stupid.
they are in wide range in appearance no matter the age. My aunt has a minature goldendoodle but even the mini's can get to about the size of a boston terrier. My aunts dog is about 7 and a half months old now and she is just a tad bigger than a malltise. Cordie (the dogs name) looks a lot like a golden retriever but her hair is a bit wavy and curls a bit and some parts of her fur are tipped with white.
@slotten68 i hav 1 and i totally agree mine is the same way she got attacked by a german shepherd and she didnt fight bac or make a sound and when she got her staples and stiches the vets said she didnt move or make a sound so there also 1 tough pooch
I love my Goldendoodle. I hate getting her shaved, because she's so cute when she's all fluffy. She is the sweetest thing ever. She has pretty bad hip displasia but she's a happy girl. She loves all other dogs and all other people. Best dog ever.
Ive had a goldendoodle for 3 year now. The dog is literally an angel: It is totally friendly to everyone, and is scarred of everything including vacuum cleaners, fans, loud televisions, you name it. Its a pure lover though, I would not reccomend it for a guard dog. It will bark when it senses danger (and it is very, very good at doing that) but it is more likely to help the intruder if he/she has food or is friendly to the dog. If you need a life companion, I would reccomend no other dog!

I work at a grooming shop and I met a goldendoodle that looks exactly like Paris Hilton, really if she was a dog, she would be that golden doodle.
They are a hell to groom, in every way.

GoldenDoodles are very nice dogs.They are nice with people,children and other dogs.GoldenDoodles are also very playful.The GoldenDoodle pups are CUTE AND ADORABLE.They are also hyper and friendly dogs.My GoldenDoodle always cuddles with me in bed,its the cutest thing he does

I've had other dogs before and this is the best one yet. My mam said if her first pet was a goldendoodle she would have been a dog person a lot sooner. i love doodles!

I have a Goldendoodle it's adorable friendly and gentle.
If u r thinking of getting one of these dogs i would stop thinking and get one right now trust me they will make your life so much better!!!

@Pebbleshamy hi i just wanted to ask a question... me and my family are thinking of getting one but we still arent fully decided yet... we have a yorkie right now and he likes dogs but not hyper ones that would jump all over him.. do most of them do that?

@smileyyy4568 goldendoodles are very smart dogs, so if you just train it properly, it shouldnt be a problem. and what makes it easier, is that goldendoodles are friendly with other dogs.

@evick6 Clearly they don't know the definition of the word "pure bred". For those who don't know, Purebred means when an animal "breeds true", meaning you take two dogs, breed then, and you can predict what you get. They even said in the clip that coat types can vary from flat, wavy and curly, whereas goldens are always flat and poodles are always curly . . because those are actually purebred, goldendoodles are glorified mutts (however cute, sweet, and loving they may be)

they r kinda ugly......... they look like poodles pretty much. when they r puppys, they r golden retriever looking and when they are older they look like poodles. :( kinda stupid.

they are in wide range in appearance no matter the age. My aunt has a minature goldendoodle but even the mini's can get to about the size of a boston terrier. My aunts dog is about 7 and a half months old now and she is just a tad bigger than a malltise. Cordie (the dogs name) looks a lot like a golden retriever but her hair is a bit wavy and curls a bit and some parts of her fur are tipped with white.

@slotten68 i hav 1 and i totally agree mine is the same way she got attacked by a german shepherd and she didnt fight bac or make a sound and when she got her staples and stiches the vets said she didnt move or make a sound so there also 1 tough pooch

I love my Goldendoodle. I hate getting her shaved, because she's so cute when she's all fluffy. She is the sweetest thing ever. She has pretty bad hip displasia but she's a happy girl. She loves all other dogs and all other people. Best dog ever.

Ive had a goldendoodle for 3 year now. The dog is literally an angel: It is totally friendly to everyone, and is scarred of everything including vacuum cleaners, fans, loud televisions, you name it. Its a pure lover though, I would not reccomend it for a guard dog. It will bark when it senses danger (and it is very, very good at doing that) but it is more likely to help the intruder if he/she has food or is friendly to the dog. If you need a life companion, I would reccomend no other dog!
