Red Tail Hawks are imposing up close. I was visiting in an Atlanta suburb a couple of years ago, when one landed right next to me on the gutter of a neighbor's house. The bird was fairly nonchelant even though we were barely 10 ft apart and did make eye contact. No one else saw him; and none had ever spotted a bird of prey there. An inspiring moment!
