no es por critica pero en esta version (Kirill Troussov (18 years old) plays Paganini Caprice 24, LIVE(1999)) me parece que cuando el hace llorar las cuerdas es lo que en verdad buscaba paganni digo no es solo mi humilde opinion.
i got soooooooooo amazed by him..... i love 24 caprice sooo much and right now the moment is just too perfect to spoil it by reading comments wich are irrelevant to what i heard and saw.... so i won't read them...
Bunpitsu send me here saying I'm an uncultured phaggot for not appreciating this. All I hear is shitty music please go alexander markov this isnt even entertaining to listen to in the slightest.
@Hourus0 Is that so? well, I'm a freshmen in highschool, and my spelling and grammar is still better than your comment, and I love this piece. Haven't played an instrument in my life.
It's interesting that people who don't play the violin find the left hand pizzicato the most impressive. The hardest variations are the one in thirds/tenths (I left that one out altogether when I performed it - not good enough lol), then maybe the one in octaves. The LH pizzicato is the easiest, except for the theme. But still the most impressive....
@BlckComb It's hard because it's an unorthodox technique that is really only required in an amount of songs I can count probably on one hand so no one really practices it, also to do it at that speed would take a very long time of practice I would venture longer than to practice the octave variation, definitely a crowd pleaser though
@isnipenoobs not in my experience. Doing it fast isn't the problem, the problem is the projection, making sure you don't trip over the notes, and the left hand pizz fourth finger extensions. The octave one is at least slow. The thirds/tenths, however, are in their own league of difficulty.
Of course. There just has to be that ONE ignorant guy who thinks he's cool by disliking an amazing piece of art he himself probably can't even hold a candle to.
Wonderfully musical playing - one of the rarest examples - not just the dazzling technique but also the sense of the whole piece. Rubato in the pizzes is amazing. Personally, I could do with fewer glisses in the last variation, but overall it is one of the most captivating performances of the piece (The 24 Caprices, and/or No. 24 in particular). Bravo!
kavakos? I agree Markov has the better touch and is more fun to watch play (his body language while he plays is pure Niccolo, from what I have read).
But for sheer technical prowess, I am not sure I have ever EVER heard anyone like young Kavakos. Not sure there has anyone ever been like him, not in modern times. Check him playing the 5th caprice at like 310 bpm..
If he could be compared whit paganini he should make symphony songs like 24 caprices he is not paganinis reencarnation he is just an interpreter, sure he is good but not as paganini
I'm neither a classical music expert neither a Paganini one, but today I had a chance to view here on the Tube different performances of this piece: this one is the most dynamic, impressive and expressive, between the ones I listened to. Better, this is BY FAR the most dyamic, impressive and expressive performance. To my untrained ear, of course...
And to boot, Alex is one of the funniest people I've ever met, tremendous sense of humor. A real hero-fool. And he'll paint your car, roof, and your toenails, all with a roller and a brush. Silly!
what an amazing sounding instrument, luckily it's played by someone with great skill. this is very nice to hear. I was searching for a new violinist to get into after Perlman I didn't think I'd find one I personally would like to listen to but this Markov this excellent.
I saw Markov's performance this last sunday and he's amazing, also he's very kind and gentle, always with a smile on his face, happy to sign autographs and to take pictures.
He played Caprice 24, and let me tell you, I forgot to breath, I couldnt move from my seat, you can feel his passion for music in every inch of your body... I think we now have here the new best violin player from all over the world.
Take my advice, if you have the chance to see him, take it! you won't regret it

@axdy91 .......Hey, axdy.........if you believe in reincarnation (and I do)
there's a good possibility Paganini today is Alex Markov. It cant be
proven, of course, but it's possible. All those kiddies, age 3,4,5
who already are virtuoso musicians, where do you their talent came
from? from mom and dad? Hardly. They are simply the
master musicians of yesteryear who have returned to earth to
entertain us again.
