  • Saw these guys when my babies were small. Mr. Vollant stopped what he was doing to watch me as I sat with my children... only when i looked up did he realize he had been watching us and quickly looked away and continued to pass the papers to the stage hand... I truly believe he missed his own family in that instance... need more entertainers committed to their families and who can set such an example...

  • I have no idea what they are saying but it sounds awesome.

  • KASHTIN en concert ce samedi 7 août à la suite de plusieurs années de séparation, sur la scène du festival Innu Nikamu de Maliotenam.

  • My late husband had coffee with this guy in Inuvik for the the arts festival there and he got to talking with this guy and he said "I hear Kashtin will be performing tonight and I hear they're great", and the guy said I'll see you there. Turns out it was one of the performers.

  • That it is my dream too, i did nt have the

chance of to attend any Kashtin concert

i am lookingfort live video concerts of them, but, i dont find it.

  • @GUAYAPA ... search for Florent Vollant or Claude Mckenzie. Kashtin have split up.

  • beautiful melody....I have seen Kashtin twice in concert and actually went into a teepee with Florant Vollant in Mashteuish, along with a group of indigenous people from Ecuador

  • @TheSjollema Haha, I was there, too. I remember that. Those Ecuadorian guys use to live with me. There were Otavaleños, indigenous people descended from the Inca and the Cara people of the Andes.

  • Tan ne je retomber dans mon enfance quand je les réécoute. Tsaa Kupa! . :)

  • ashtam errruu!!! Iteku uitsheuan!! ashtam erruu!!! Iteku!!!............lol

  • I too regret they are no longer together. I got Kashtin & Innu in /92 & Akua luta in 94. I've seen Florent Vollant once on the awards by himself. It didn't saeem the same without Claude McKenzie. It's good to be able to see their video's.

  • It is regretable they dont play togeter

anymore, I am very sad about.

They placed very high the Spirit Native

    Art.

  • I discovered Kashtin back in 1988, by 1994 I was listening to all their songs including this one in my car almost everyday. They are amazing, their music carries their native spirit to a higher level and to us. Their beautiful songs bring back a lot of memories..

  • They were also in some tv show or documentry where they travelled all around Canada.

I cant recall the name of the show or documentry.

  • I saw their video of Tshinanu when it was in one of it's first few broadcasts on MuchMusic (when Muchmusic actually played music and not reality shows). I loved the song and eventually bought the album. I've been a big fan ever since.

Musically I consider them the Lennon-McCartney of Canadian aboriginals.
