Buford was slated to play himself in the second movie and the producers even had a press conference where Buford spoke about playing himself in the second film. Then Buford passed away under very mysterious circumstances in what was labeled an accident. After Buford passed away, it was Bing Crosby who decided on Bo Svenson as Buford Pusser in Walking Tall part II because Joe Don Baker turned the role down. Buford's brother John Pusser was adviser on II.

Great movie about some parts of this mans life ! can't find it any more movies of so..someone give me a link i'd love to watch it again another movie that was true based.TUCKER..shows how they kept him down and ruined him.but he proved what he said ..
