@RBaella91 You know, not to be a downer, but that is probably not true. There's always a person that hates you, for no apparent reason (or maybe he/she has a reason). There is a difference between being hated, disliked and bullied.
I did back in the 10th grade. my friend was picking on this scronny kid in my class and he encouraged me to pick on him. I did ( hesistantly) and I felt so horrible the next day. I went to class early so i could apologize to him and I told him that if anyone belittles him, not to take it. I demonstrated with him that if someone were to push him, that he push back. He did infact actually push me to the ground which surprised me. He forgave me and I felt a giant weight of guilt of of my shoulders

i am guilty of bullying when iwas little back in my school years. I did bully a guy that everybody picked on. I went through a lot of things growing up. I isolated myself from other kids and sat their and cried my eyes out because of the things i was told as a child.
I was also bullied in school and i wish i had the courage at the time to stand up for myself. But its hard standing up for yourself when you have almost very low self esteem. As i got older as time went on i started to change the person in my heart. Thanks for the support you are a great person with a good soul

Guys in girls, from grades 6 to whatever, havent been raised right, and they try to be cool around there freinds, saying someone is gay or fat or dumb. They just want to be cooler and there friends laugh and it makes that person feel better.
Does it really matter if he lied or not? The truth still remains children are being bullied at school, are being tormented, beat up, and discriminated against at school for the simple reason of gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or ability, etc. This is an epidemic that needs to be made aware of and dealt with better by public officials.
@CattyRaeD it does matter, because now he is getting all the attention and sympathy, but in reality, no one who watches that video realizes that theyve been mean or bullied anyone, they think that they were mean to jonah, so he gets a lot of compassion, whereas other kids who are actually bullied still are, even by people who think they are helping by posting pointless support comments on jonahs video
I am a high school senior. I haven't been bullied excesively or bullied others but I watch the people that are bullies for the past few years and I have come to the conclusion that nearly all bullies are the way they are because they have some kind of infirmity and bullying makes them feel superior which in turn makes them think that others will forget that anything is wrong with the bully

I dont know why young teens find amusement from bullying, in my case my high school had minimal bullying surprisingly so i cant speak from experience, but i DO believe that many cases when this happens, the bullies may be jealous of the fact that another kid is able to be comfortable and open with their choices and maybe the person who is bullying is just like them but cannot come to accept themselves for what they are and then lash out at that child because it hides their cowardliness...
I think a lot of it is peer pressure. Especially not helping... that's the easiest thing to do...you see someone being bullied and you don't participate, but you don't help...then you can keep you social status, and not have to deal with the bullying....it's sad though :[
I was never BULLIED in a true way, but 5th grade was terrible, I had no friends I my class everyone hated me and I was really angry about life. All of 3rd to 7th grade I was mean to people bullied them. Why? It wasn'tt to make myself feel better it was more to make myself fit in with the cool kids. Moved and went to a new school and tables flipped. I went to knowing everyone in my school to not knowing a single person and getting bullied all of 8th grade. That was the worst year of my life. Glad I was bullied because I got to see what I put others through. Now at 20 I will never bully anyone. I stand up for other I see bullied now.
Regardles of whether its true or not, this still goes on, and its all because kids are scared of whats differant, and change, so whenever they notice someone whos a different race, or different skin colour, or homosexual, they put up a defence shield and try and scare it away, thats what triggers the rude comments, and well, bullying
The video brought up a serious concern in the mind of the world, whether it was fake or real or whatever his reasons were for posting the video.
What does it matter whether he lied or not? Why care if some random video on youtube is real or not? Does it affect your life if it is fake? What matters is that for many people, it is real. And we can do something to stop it.
Whatever one thinks about Jonah, or his videos or any of his comments, the real issue is about bullying, and how we can make a difference to make positive changes come from this. Whether he lied or not, in the end it doesn't matter. Where it was a fake or not, doesn't matter. The REAL message was a message in the response to the world. It has been viewed by millions of people who will want to try to do something about bullying. Thats a wonderful thing.
Erm kids are ignorent? I don't think I'm that bad (I'm 15). Have you gone to his page lately? He explains it all. Just as I thought. Sometimes you have to read between the lines. BTW I thought you were sincere on your thoughts. I totally understand why you got upset. It is obvious you are a caring person and not one of the idiots that always has to put something mean and negative on comments. He is a happier kid now and I think that is all that matters. What if he wouldn't have gotten the support he did? What if it would have made the bullying worse? He was courageous as far as I am concerned. I guess it is all how you look at it.
Either way he was bullied. He said he had one friend left because all his friends were going to high school. He stated in the next video that it was made 4 mths prior,now he has alot of friends at school. He stated in 1st video he was scared to start 8th grade, doesn't mean he lied about any of it. Maybe, the video made him popular once he started school. But, like I said he was bullied & that was the point. Either way, the video helped alot of kids as you can see connected to his video.

I was raised to believe that homosexuality is not normal but I never and have never made fun of someone because of their sexual preference so I would disregard any message that gives that as a reason. im from Australia, and this boy named harley that goes to my school has been picking on me since i was in kindergarden im in year 10 now going onto year 11 in 2012 i've been put down by him ALOT. he still keeps doing it now and then, BUT, im not going to let him put me down over bullying, and yes i do have friends that support me. BUT, he bullies me because, i have asberges syndrome (its like a form of autisim), but i enjoy what i love doing which is singing and guitar playing.

Guys in girls, from grades 6 to whatever, havent been raised right, and they try to be cool around there freinds, saying someone is gay or fat or dumb. They just want to be cooler and there friends laugh and it makes that person feel better.

Does it really matter if he lied or not? The truth still remains children are being bullied at school, are being tormented, beat up, and discriminated against at school for the simple reason of gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or ability, etc. This is an epidemic that needs to be made aware of and dealt with better by public officials.

I am a high school senior. I haven't been bullied excesively or bullied others but I watch the people that are bullies for the past few years and I have come to the conclusion that nearly all bullies are the way they are because they have some kind of infirmity and bullying makes them feel superior which in turn makes them think that others will forget that anything is wrong with the bully

I dont know why young teens find amusement from bullying, in my case my high school had minimal bullying surprisingly so i cant speak from experience, but i DO believe that many cases when this happens, the bullies may be jealous of the fact that another kid is able to be comfortable and open with their choices and maybe the person who is bullying is just like them but cannot come to accept themselves for what they are and then lash out at that child because it hides their cowardliness...

I think a lot of it is peer pressure. Especially not helping... that's the easiest thing to do...you see someone being bullied and you don't participate, but you don't help...then you can keep you social status, and not have to deal with the bullying....it's sad though :[

I was never BULLIED in a true way, but 5th grade was terrible, I had no friends I my class everyone hated me and I was really angry about life. I felt like it sucked, school sucked I'd go home that would suck. I have felt the urge to tell someone they suck. Everyone that was mean to me. I called everyone a bitch. All of 3rd to 7th grade I was mean to people bullied them. Why? It wasn'tt to make myself feel better it was more to make myself fit in with the cool kids. Moved and went to a new school and tables flipped. I went to knowing everyone in my school to not knowing a single person and getting bullied all of 8th grade. That was the worst year of my life. Glad I was bullied because I got to see what I put others through. Now at 20 I will never bully anyone. I stand up for other I see bullied now.

Either way he was bullied. He said he had one friend left because all his friends were going to high school. He stated in the next video that it was made 4 mths prior,now he has alot of friends at school. He stated in 1st video he was scared to start 8th grade, doesn't mean he lied about any of it. Maybe, the video made him popular once he started school. But, like I said he was bullied & that was the point. Either way, the video helped alot of kids as you can see connected to his video.

I was raised to believe that homosexuality is not normal but I never and have never made fun of someone because of their sexual preference so I would disregard any message that gives that as a reason. You mention as a child never having the urge to bully other kids, I must ask you what was your childhood like? Your parents, where they loving and supportive?
