Der Hammer ist: mit dieser Gitarre habe ich eine komplette CD eingespielt - weil wir alle Gitarren vorher ausprobiert hatten welche den besten Klang hat! Hammerteil was ich mir irgendwann selbst geschenkt habe!
hey i am thinking about getting one of these i found one for 1200 and im wondering how much you paid and how good it is distorted or for any type of rock or what you like and dont like about it
I use it quite a lot with distortion. Trust me. It can handle a lot. You may get a bit of trouble with the neck-pickup there, because it has a acoustic-kinda sound. It sounds great for every kind of Rock, Jazz and of course Blues. Most I like about the guitar is the full and warm sound of the neck-pickup and the bite of the bridge-pickup. What I don`t like about the guitar is, that it sounds dull. If you wanna hear an example of how it sounds with distortion, check out some of my videos :-)
What year is your SilverFace? Sounds great! I have a '73 SF Twin Reverb....everybody is turning their SF's to Blackfaces...which is slightly criminal. Someday those super clean SF circuits will be sought after.
All of your recordings have really amazing sound quality even beyond the guitar itself. How do you record? What kind of mic? Into what kind of device? Thanks.
Classy looking axe in black and chrome. It might be just be me but anyone ever notice that trapeze tailpieces gives the archtops more slinky action for playability?
@pissballs: I think it is actually a bit stiffer, like when you have 11s on them they feel kinda like 12s. Thats when i compare my Casino to my 335 with the same strings anyway.
LOVE this guitar...I bought one used for $700.00. I'm not sure exactly why Gibson discontinued for the ES 137. It does feedback quite a bit with some gain, but I can control it. One of my dream guitars is an ES 175, but I don't have the bucks or the chops to warrant a purchase. I love the sound Steve Howe, Pat Metheny, and Brian Hughes get out of it. With the ES 135 and a Lexicon MX 200 I can come pretty close to what I'm looking for. Thanks for the video...great stuff!

ok... an update, I changed the P-100 for P-90 in my sunburst ES-135 - it's much better (was not really bad before, but hey...)
