Whenever the sirens go off in my town it's almost always a lie. Sometimes we get funnel clouds, but never a real tornado. Most of us don't take it too seriously. :P We live in Tornado Alley.

i work with a guy whose neighborhood was hurt by that storm, or one near it; roofs torn off and the like. oddly, his house was untouched, but his neighbors weren't so lucky.
