Hmm, you can get a used c5 for about 12 to 15k. The civic may be faster straight line but thats about it. the vette will kill in the corners and run about a sub 8 nurburgring time. No disrespect but that civic would probably breakdown in one way or another trying to keep up on anything but a straight line. Hell I can make a mini van beat a vette in a quarter mile with radials and a strong motor. doesn't mean its still not a piece of shit van with radials and a strong motor.

@IllaWondah I wouldn't necessarily say a civic is better in turns, but I'll agree that they're easier to drive hard. There's a huge difference between the two, a fwd car is going to give you all the confidence in the world because all they do is understeer. a rwd car does alot of oversteer when you get too confident with the throttle which a lot of people misconceive as bad handling. On a real track (No autocross bullshit) a stock c5 vette and above will beat any stock or mildly built civic.

Actually into second it won't bog out that bad it actually helps alot if you let it crack rev like 2 times and grab the next gear then just powey shift 345 the time lost when u bog is usually less than when u bounce.
