i was trying to decide who sang this song better-Andy Williams or Frank Sinatra-i would say that Andy Williams did a much better job-what do you guys think?
this song shall always remind me of my dad, a great fan of good old Franky, when my dad was on his deathbed i play the cd every day and we listen when we humming and i hold his hand. Now 8 months after his death its the first time i hear this song again and it make me smile whith tears in my eyes
Your comment made me register at YouTube today after so many years of surfing around here. I know about the deep power and the touching soul this song has. God bless John, Henry, Audrey, and your father. About smiling...try Nat King and search here for "Nat King Cole" and "Smile" ... Cheers from Germany .... "wherever you're going, I'm going your way"
I cry every time I hear this cuz my mother used to pick me up and hold me and look out into the sky and listen to the wind as she sang this song. I'll never forget it. Just thought I'd share..
greatest version ever.... makes me want to play the sax again and play the tune very softly and beautifully since i can't sing like frank or andy williams :P
guys nobody cares if your sixteen, 13 or whatever im 16 wow i must be special because i listen to music form the 50's/60's well we arn't get over. and @barlesltd dude stop trying to get sympathy.
I don't have a problem with the people who are telling here how young they are . Its good to know that the fans of good music and taste are not dying out . :-)
Ok great song. But i'm really bored to see videos like this. What the hell this could be called a video ?! A video is a suite of moving images not a fucking black screen ! Or put "just song" on the title !
Im 17 and i actually first listened to this type of music from playing a game called Fallout. And it is really catchy and i really dont mind listening to it at all.
@infoanalysis He gets into it. He understands the lyric by writing it out like a poem and figuring out how to pronounce and shade each word. Then he sings it with his pianist the way he planned and tells Nelson how the arrangement should sound, the major and minor themes, etc.. He was a perfectionist and expected everyone else to care as much about what they did. He expected to be treated like somebody who was the best at what they did and he treated such people the same.
I'm 15 years old, and I'm not afraid to say that I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than any new artists that we have today. Sinatra has always been my favorite, ever since i was a little girl. This sounds cheesy but his voice always makes me so cozy and happy. I love Frank, people should be looking up to him, and not Nicki Minaj or Wiz talking about one night stands and getting drunk... Goodness, I really wish todays society had the same class it did 50 years ago.. Where did it all go?
Old blue eyes can greatly cast a spell and make almost anyone fall for this this song and i an happy to say that with his great voice i was also taken by him and felt happy
I love Frank Sinatra. I yell at the person who ever turns one of his songs off. Ol' Blue Eyes... is the greatest guy that lived in that period of time... doing music.
Great song for anyone who has musical ears, regardless of the age. I have a 15 year old niece who listens to Lady Ga Ga, Green Day, etc. and she just fell in love with this wonderful song.
omg.....can ppl stop making themselves like kool kats for being 13 and liking classic music...jeez....im 14 and i know i have a good taste in music but i dont go galivanting my age everywhere...im not GOD! SO STOP IT EVERYONE!
@MadiTheWriter Not everyone has the same taste as you. It is arrogant to say people don't have good taste just because they don't like YOUR music taste.
Yeap, I'm pretty sure that I'm in love with you, hahah :] Good to know there are others young people out there like me who still enjoy the classics more than the terrible crap they call pop music today.
@VelmaKelly1997 Im 14 and i agree with you i wish other kids in our generation would expand their musical knowledge instead of sticking to rap and hip hop and all that other stuff. My aunt always tells me everytime she visits about Frank, Dean,Sammy davis, Bing and bob crosby.I love hearing all about them their true Talent.
why are people so caught up with proclaiming their ages? it doesn't matter how old, or young, you are. if the song moves you, then it moves you. there is no need to deride contemporary music to enjoy this beautiful classic.
