yes, I got mine at Walmart, and was surprised how simple it was to activate it, and ever since, only adding 30 or 45 a month to my account I keep it activated. The $45 a month is a real bargain, it buys you unlimited voice, text and mobile web, witch includes my email, so It's great when you need your cellphone to work and it's the cheapest service in the market right now.
go to wal-mart also. i went recently to check out straight talk and found them to be (surprisingly) knowledgeable about the different phones. There are some you want to avoid and some that are decent, and the plans are all a good deal....good luck!
$100 is what I pay for my iphone a month!!! I need to get a cheaper deal and I've been watching these straight talk commercials. Can anyone else verify to me that this is really the best deal in town?
I am new to the States and have my straighttalk phone. Straighttalk do use the Verizon Towers but perhaps someone can fill me in as to what that actually means? THANX
I use Straight Talk and can say to date I have not experienced any dropped calls or no signals, from what I hear they use the Verizon and AT&T towers.
My husband texts allot in his daily work, giving instructions to people all the time, which is why he thought it's best to get the Nokia 6790 with the large slider qwerty keyboard buttons so he can texts quickly. Man it's a dream to text on, and with the instant messaging, 3G web browsing,, multiple e-mail acc., free GPS etc., this phone is really worth the $200 for all the features it offers.
The Straight Talk service have been a saving grace for me. There is just no other service that gives so much for so little money. Everything from the quality network to the low pricing just makes it so easy to recommend this service to others. I currently use the $45 unlimited everything plan and I just LOVE it!
I discovered that the best way to get Straight Talk customer service is to go thru Facebook., They have a FB fan page and you get support thru there. You know the truth is everyting is done through social media these days. But seriously I suggest cecking it out. Service on Verizon is great too.
The reason for my switching to Straight Talk is that I wanted to save and have a reliable company in which I have unlimited access to text, talk, and mb of data. I purchase a Straight Talk and then their $45 unlimited plan. Now I have no worries and of course no contract to sign and the only thing I pay per month is the plan you want to use. They also offer the $30 a month with 1000 talk, text, 30mb of data and free 411. What more can you ask for.
Yeah not having a contract is pretty great. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, of course, because the internet is a bit slow (although very reliable) but Straight Talk gets incredible signal strength because they uise Verizon towers and it's 45 bucks a month,. 45 bucks!
pre paid unlimited seem pretty hard to beat these days. it must be such piece pf mind to know that you have to budget for $45 a month and that's that (unlimited minutes, texts and data) - no hidden costs and surprise bills. you cxan budget to the cent each month an save cash (up to $50) by not being on a sneaky contract.
I've had StraighTalk for a year and like it alot. The phones are decent no android but the price and coverages is amazing. I never had a phone without a contract before and now I wonder why I ever had one!
Straight Talk uses the Verizon network which is absolutely amazing as they are the best so be assured you won't be suffering with dropped calls and bad connections
Great way to save money. I like it but here's a tip: if you need help, be sure to avoid their phone support. Go to their Facebook page and then to the support tab. People there from ST can take care of you. Amazing but true.
I've yet to meet the college kid who doesn't use all their airtime which is why I gave my daughter a Straight Talk phone with the $45.00 a month package which gives her unlimited calling, texting and web access! She doesn't even have the excuse that she didn't call because she ran out of airtime!
@nat6931 Yeah worrying about airtime and minutes should definitely be a thing of the past in this day and age, it's basically a scam to make them more money. Unlimited plans are now within pretty much everyone's reach now that Straight Talk offers one for only 45 bucks a month.
Straight Talk has no strings attached which is why I love it so much. I had to pay a ridiculous cancellation fee to switch over but if I wanted to cancel Straight Talk or not use it for a month, I simply stop paying for it.
No one wants to be locked into a contract anymore. With technology etc changing so fast in modern times, people need the freedom to chop and change ot the best deal out thery whenever they please. If you are on a contract then it is just inhibbiting and you have to pay cancellation fees etc and go thorugh a waiting period when you want to cancel. If you are not happy with something you should be allowed to drop it and change at your own descretion!
@pashles101 couldnt agree more...i run through phones like crazy and with my old plan it was costing me hundreds every time i needed to pick up a new phone casue i dropped it in a toilet or ran it over or whatever..I know im nuts!...with straight talk i pay a low monthly fee and i can pick up a new cheap phone from wal mart whenever i "misplace" my current line.
With Straight Talk you can save about $50 a month and you don't have to worry about surprise bills and hidden costs popping up all the time. If you don't like it you're not locked in and you can simply change - no cancellation fees and all that jazz anymore. What's not to like? And the coverage is great on the verizon/AT&T networks as well so it's pretty much a no brainer if you ask me..
Once you try straighttalk there is definitely no turning back. Who on earth would switch to a costly contract phone with bad reception and service? Not me!
I have been using straight talk now for half a year now and it is great. I skeptical at first and I thought it was too good to be true. When I saw my mom's straight talk phone, and how she was happy not paying for monthly bills anymore, I got interested. I haven't looked back since...
Most of us have come through some pretty hard times in this recession and learned a few hard lessons about money! I think millions and millions of Americans have woken up to the savings on prepaid cell phones and Tracfone have really stepped up to the plate with Straight Talk and saved us thousands of dollars...cool phones and $45pm unlimited usage is a money saving lifesaver
I'm such a fan of straight talk and think everyone should get with the program and make the switch already. Not only is it straightforward and more affordable, but the service is great too, using the verizon network. I wanna get a new phone but not sure which is best, any suggestions? The new nokia smart phone, the E71 looks really cool
@flyme2themoon88 That's awesome to hear! I thought that there had to be some draw back if the cost was so good but if the coverage and reception is great then I can't really see any downside to switching to Striaght Talk. At $45 a month - what's nto to like??
@ piiratearg,I hope you ended up getting some people on your list straight talk phones. I did and they were so excited. Especially when I told them they had unlimited calls and text for only $45 and was no contract. I would have to say I was the best present giver this year :)
They do offer some really top end phones now. I have the Nokia E71 Smartphone on the $45 unimited plan. It does absolutely everything and is a great business phone. I've been extremely happy with the service and would recommend to anyone. Savings are awesome too.
@juliarosejones Ya glad to hear that other people are taking advantage of the business applications of Straight Talk phones also. I used to run my business from the iPhone so the Nokia 6790 is slightly closer to what I used to use so I went with that. I must say it works like an absolute charm and has gone a long way to helping me cut expenses.
Does anybody know if they offer any phones other than the usual minimal stuff? I really like these prices but I need to know if they can offer me a phone that actually do some powerful stuff.
I'm away at college and needed something that was reliable and Straight Talk works through the Verizon network which is the best and I was not bound by any contracts. I also found them more flexible so some months I have more money than other months so I can swop between the $45.00 option and the $30.00 one. So let's save the entire year and see what I have at the end of next year for a vacation.
Straight talk is a great phone service for all who are looking for a bargain. My new years resolution is to quit overpending. I obviously will not be getting away from staright talk any time soon lol.
@Bradock3209809 I know how you feel! Just opened my new Samsung r810c for christmas, my family is all on Straight Talk so that's all we get for christmas lol. Can't wait to hit the mobile web with my unlimited plan, it looks just like an iPhone too!
I used three mobile plans and the current one is a contract plan. WHY THE HELL AM I BEING LOYAL TO A COMPANY THAT CHARGES $200 TERMINATION FEE? I Paid over $4,000 since 2005 and i still got a termination fee? parents of teens dont get the family plan its a ripoff! am i pissed? HELL YEAH!!!
St is also offering some awesome smartphones at the moment. So now I get the best deal ($45 unlimited everything) and I get an awesome phone (the nokia 6790) with all the sweetness of an iPhone, but with an awesome keyboard and great coverage.
Straight Talk has given me some great holiday gift ideas. Some of their phones would make great stocking stuffers and the best part is since you don't have to sign a long term contract, whoever is given the gift can change the plan if they need to.
Now that my whole family has switched from a contract to Straight Talk prepaid plans We're saving $205 a month x 12 = $2460 per year. Me and my 2 kids are on the ST $30 plans and my husband is on the ST $45 plan. The amount being saved is so huge it's a joke. We all use the $45 plan phone when we can to get even more value for money as the more you use this plan the cheaper your calls become.
Because Straighttalk was so reasonable I was a little sceptical when purchasing my phone. I don't know why I was because Straighttalk really does offer first class service. Upto date handsets, clear reception and no dropped calls. Evenmore of a surprise was when I learned that there was no extra charge for longdistance!
Different people have different cellphone needs. We all think about price, but in fact quality is even more important. My experience with Straight Talk is that it is a high quality service at a low price, which makes it a total winner.
Sure it's great that if you don't want to use Straight Talk plans you can just not buy a plan for a month or two and not have pay a cancellation fee or a connection fee. At least you have freedom of choice with Straight Talk which is not the case when you're on a cell phone contract.
Straight Talk, the cellphone company that saves you money. I was spending hundreds of dollars on my cellphone bill. ST has no contract, no hidden charges only good news. A smartphone that is easy to use and understand, and a plan according to your use. In Walmart I asked around and they told Straight Talk was was the top selling cellphone there. I gave it a try and switch. For $45 a month unlimited plan you have it all.
I always worried that there was some kind of catch with Straight Talk. I have had a Straight Talk phone with an unlimited plan at $45 a month for about a year and I have never been hit with an extra cost or sneaky trick. As far as I can tell, it is just a great deal with no down side.
My kids get the $30 Straight Talk plan sent to their phone every month automatically and that is just perfect for their texting needs and I don't get to stress about checking on their balances because I know they can't text me out of my budgeted $30 limit. At least I have peace of mind in that department.
As this guy says, the Straight Talk deal is so good that you wonder if they realise how much they are giving away compared to other companies. It is almost too good to be true.
Who would've thought that I could get out of my phone contract, pay so much less for my phone service, and get great service all at Walmart? That's the only place where I save money and now I'm saving money on my cell phone by buying Straight Talk.
straight talk provides me with everything i require from my cellphone provider. i have all i need in one plan, don't need to worry about huge bills at month end, have unlimited talk, text and data, free 411 calls and no longterm commitment. that is my cellphone life sorted
Straighttalk really is an ideal gift to give to kids for Xmas or their birthdays. My niece was over the moon when she got a phone with a $30 plan for her birthday - I think her mom was very relieved as well because she had her own phone back which my niece kept using. My niece is now behaving responsibly and saving $30 a month to pay for her own plan. She is going to be very good with money oneday
Guess what out kids are getting this Christmas...you got it...Straight Talk phones with unlimited talk, text and web which they've been asking for non stop for the last year.....they're going to be extatic and we will have peace at last in our home!
love going through these testimonials! Just reaffirms that I got in on a great deal with Straight talk! Never nwe that they are with the Verizon network til I started listening to some of these clips and reading some reviews. So now I know I made the right choice. And the plans fit my needs and pocket!
Don't worry, be happy would work here. Straight Talk = quality cell phone and service. Still available at Walmart. But, you can also shop right on the ST website. Great deals for the holidays..free phone, free shipping...got your attention? Check it out. You can shop from the comfort of your couch and not battle the lines at the store.
Happy faces all around with Straighttalk. My whole family including myself has cellphones from Straighttalk and we're all very happy. We each pay only 45 bucks for as much texting, calling, and data we want, all thanks to Striaghttalk.
Straighttalk is ideal for those on the road and working out of their cars. For $45 you get unlimited data, text and talk for 30days. This is not a lot of money at all when you compare it to what you would pay on a contract phone. If $45 is too high straighttalk have the $30 plan which gives you 1000minutes of talk and text time which also is unbeatable. My whole family are straighttalkers and we are all very happy
I just got this walmart flyer and tomorrow black friday Straight Talk will be having a fantastic sale @ Walmart! the Samsung T255 for only $45 including an Airtime Card @ $45. This will make for a wonderful xmas gift! it's great for teen and adults too! I'm getting in line to get one for my mom!
Some persons have bad luck others don't. I've had Straight Talk for 1 year, have saved $850 and have no complaints. This Holiday I am treating myself to the new Samsung R355c and the same $45 unlimited plan. I have saved, I have NO Contracts, and very happy with my Straight Talk. Life is what you make out of it. Take care of your ST cellphone don't drop it, my is not defective. It's great!
Defective Phones: Straight Talk is selling defective phones, and they know they are defective... they will replace them if you have kept up with your reciept and are willing to wait two weeks for a phone!
I have used Straight Talk now for 6 months now and I just can't complain. I have the 45 dollar a month plan that gives me unlimited minutes, texts, mb of data transfer, and free 411. This really is hassle free and gives me the peace of mind of not overspending on any other contract phone.
Honestly, Straight Talk is the best plan out there for unlimited everything for just $45 a month. The 411 is also free and there are no contracts to sign, no monthly bills in the mail, no hidden fees that are tackled on or anything like that. This is it, start saving money now by trying out Straight Talk!
With the recession I have had to do a lot of travelling with my work and I am not at home like I used to be. With the straighttalk $45 unlimited plan I have been able to keep in touch with all that are dear to me without having to pay an extra cost for long distance calls. The straighttalk $45 unlimited has actually saved me money every month if a do the comparison with my old contract phone. What a nice feeling to know that I am saving money during a recession!
This is serious people I am literally saving by the hundreds. I have had them for 8 months now so its a cumulative save but money is money so cant complain about saving. And i believe i found my mothers christmas gift this year at Walmart. if i am not wrong i heard they are having a sale for black friday which is a samsung t255 i think with an airtime card for just $45.
I am currently using the Samsung R810c. It is also touchscreen and has a 2.0 megapixel camera with bluetooth technology. Great phone with the straight talk plan, it just couldn't get any better!
I think there are alot of people out there just like me - I am still on the same contract that I have been on since I was 16. It's hard to take the step to switch becasue of the fear of the unknown but hearing about all the beefits of being on prepaid, especially with StrightTalk - I am really starting to consider it.
I have been on straighttalk for quiet some time now and I have literally saved hundreds of $ by using the unlimited plan. It only costs $45 a month and everthing is unlimited on it - there are no hidden costs
When i switched to straight talk from my old plan i had to pay a huge termination fee but i needed to get out of that contract soo bad! i was going way over on my texts every month and getting hosed. The unlimited plan is costing me less than i was paying in just overages on my old plan and the service has been pretty solid so far.
yo for realz, its plain ridiculous to be spendin so much more for the same thing. You can be getting unlimited call, unlimited text and nationwide coverage for just $45 come on man. i got myself a LG220c phone, it was cheap, its reliable and it get the job done. Thats all i got to say on the subject!!
You damn right that there are huge savings to make when switching to straighttalk. I switched to the $45 unlimited and eventhough I had to pay to terminate my contract, I am still paying less than I did on the contract. I am definitely getting more for less with straighttalk
I save at least 85 bucks a month with the Straight talk unlimited deal, it really has changed my life. No worries about huge end of month bills and I can talk, text and browse the internet as much as I want every month. I would highly recommend the straight talk unlimited deal too!
I switched to Straight Talk months ago! I've been saving tons of money, I don't have a contract and for only 45 a month I get unlimited service! But now I'm thinking about xmas presents and you know, my mom needs to get out of that contract like yesterday, so I'm going to get her a Straight Talk!
I'm famous in our household for eating ice cream when I'm on the phone with this one girlfriend of mine. She jabbers on and on and sure I like to hear all the news in the community but I hardly ever get to say a word even though I made the call. Well I suppose I don't mind especially now that I use the Straight Talk unlimited plan because for only $45 I can talk and text and web and listen all I want and the price stays the same.
Saving $100 dollars a month?!?! Nice dude! Hey, I have that Nike shirt! I've been on Straight Talk for a while and I'm saving $50 to $60 compared to what I used to pay per month and that's nothing compared to what my friends would be saving if they were on Straight Talk. (I'm having them convert too, LOL!)
@Thorakify Yes, it's true, I'm saving AT LEAST $100 dollars a month compared to my last plan. Imagine with all those hidden fees and extra charges that other service plans unload on you. That's how they get you, man! ST is the best there is, no tricks, no hidden anything.
No ST service in Anchorage, AK even tho it states so on the coverage map. Neither will you get partial refund or credit for this. So essentially they engage in fasle advertising.
Once again I am here with good news about Straight Talk. With the Holiday season knocking in our doors now you can have cash left for your gifts and why not a new Straight Talk for a family member or friend. For $30 a month you will have 1000 minutos to use as you like, and the other plan for $45 monthly you have unlimited talk, text, free 411 calls, and no contracts. Grab a Straight Talk cellphone today and you for sure will have a Happy Holiday.
Straight talk is the best prepaid deal I've been able to find, and I've been researching a lot to find the best deal. I just got the Samsung R810c, which is their smartphone and is has all the features as the iphone and the sprint smart phone, I'm actually really glad I took the chance
@jesseboots410 I just got the Nokia 6790 which is another smartphone that resembles the iphone from Straight Talk and I must say that I don't miss my old iphone one bit. I'm actually paying half as much as I used to on my old plan for the same exact thing.
@finsman777 I've got to check this out! I was thinking about getting the new iphone, but when my sister told me that she's spending on $45 a month with straight talk, i decided to do a little more research. Having a smart phone is really important for me since i use my cell phone for work. i think this is the evidence i needed to switch to straight talk. time to start saving some mula!
One of the big reasons I chose the Straight Talk plan amongst all the other cell plans was because I heard that they use the best networks of Verizon and AT&T. I really don't want to have to shout or not hear someone on the other end on a regular basis or want to loose a call every now and then its irritating.
@pinksunsetify yeah I was on Boost and I don't have a clue WHAT network they use but I can vouch that the service is very touch-and-go. I switched to Straight Talk and I always have good service and web access because of the Verizon network.
I was caught so badly with all the hidden costs and then to top it all off a contract that bound me for 2 years. Straight Talk $45.00 unlimited talk, texting and data is truely $45.00 and not the heart stopping bill I was getting used to.
@88tegan1 Me too and when I did some math I figured it would be worth it in the long run to buy out of my contract and I was right! Listen to me everyone it's worth a bomb in savings to be with Straight Talk and not on a contract!!
@88tegan1 the same thing was happening to me, but with overages on my minutes. i dreaded getting my phone bill every month. with straight talk not only am i assured that the bill will come in at the same amount each month, but the money i'm saving is great!
I think that not having a contract is the best! No termination fees on Straight Talk prepaid, in fact, no hidden charges at all! I've saved so much money each month and i can talk to family and friends all over the states without worrying about my monthly bills!
Worked out that I'm saving $90 a month. Plus I'm getting way better coverage than I used to with At&t and the no long distance charges is awesome for calling my family on the west coast
@theNandi1 I'm getting my kids the new Straight Talk Nokia6790 smart phones at $200 and the savings on the $45.00 A MONTH PLAN WILL COVER THE COST OF THE PHONES IN 3 MONTHS!
Head to Walmart, purchase Straight Talk Cellphone and you will have cash left. For $45 a month and no contract, an unlimited plan sounds awesome, right? All features are free, unlimited all I call it. With Straight Talk you will have great service and the savings will be lots.
About Straight Talk a great deal for only $45 monthly. No contracts, unlimited everything and great service that you will never be saying "Hello, Are you there?" Maybe at the other end they will have to redial your Straight Talk cellphone. I recently went to Germany and my Straight Talk cell had crystal clear reception. My brother could not believe it. Now he has one and thank me for it.
The main reason I chose ST unlimited $45 plan was because I have quite a few family and friends of mine in other states which I really want to stay in touch with. This plan has saved me a small fortune compared to a regular prepaid plan because I phone& text a heck of a lot after work and during weekends.
I was unhappy with my contract and I had to pay a termination fee. This doesn't matter as I have saved way more in the long run. On the straighttalk unlimited it costs $45 a month for unlimited calls and texting. My contract used to cost me about $100 a month so you can imagine how much I have been saving
I got the $30 a month plan and this is the best deal out there for the money! I got 1000 minutes, 1000 texts, and 1000 mb of data transfers. I actually signed up for the automatic renewal and It is super easy to handle. No monthly bills, contracts, and no hidden fees!
Straight Talk the smart way to cellphone use, there's no contract, unlimited texts and most of all no contracts to sign. I always read comments about things I will purchase and found out Straight Talk is on the Verizon network and is known that Verizon has the best signals anywhere. Now with Straight talk you can received the same service as Verizon, for a lot less per month. I made the switch, would you do as well?
I love Straight Talk. I have a slider that it's great for texting. It has a clor screen, mp3 and a camera and my parents don't bug me about bills or contracts cos I have the $45 unlimited (yeah, sweet uh) and pay for it with my allowance. Straight Talk totes gets me!
I am usually a skeptic of things that sound too good to be true but after picking up the Samsung SGH-T401G camera phone for less that a hundred bucks from wal mart and paying for the unlimited 45/mo plan for three months now i have to say it really is as advertised. The phone has everything i need and even some extra stuff like a really good camera...
Hey, what more proof does anyone need! Even a customer rep gets on the blogs to help out and give tips-i have been hesitant to call customer service to activate my auto-refill, but now i wil get on the phone right away. What more can you expect from this prepaid, great coverage, provider, plans and now customer SERVICE!
i am a straight talk customer representative and a technical support also..i advise you guys if you have problem with your phones by making and receive calls or making and receive text message just dial *#22890 to reprogram your phone if not call the provider and use any available phone not the Straighttalk phone so that we can perform a basi troubleshooting on the phone
Woh... This guy saved $100 dollars a month by switching to straight talk. For only $45 a month I get unlimited minutes, unlimited texting, and free 411? I have got to check out this awesome plan.
I really am so much more at ease after going through the mission of cancelling my contract. All the cacellation fees etc etc really were such a hack but making the change to Straight Talk has been all worth it. $45 a month and that's all you need to think about!
Everyone should try out the Straighttalk service. If you're worried about paying your cancellation fee, don't stress, you'll make back the money with everything you save using Straighttalk. For only 45 bucks, you get everything unlimited (talking, texting, web) it's great.
This guy in the video is right. I have saved so many bucks since I have been on the Straighttalk $5 plan. Before I was never sure on what my phone bill would be because of all those hidden costs - it would be between $75 and $120. Now it is just $45 and I am getting more than I did before. Reception is great and there are no dropped calls. All in all I have made the best choice for myself.
@sfjohn5 You get unlimited internet if you pay 45 a month for the unlimited plan. You get UNLIMITED EVERYTHING! it is a really good deal especially since some of their phones are even of smartphone quality. I think they have a great thing going here that a lot of people can benefit from.
I also saved around $70 a month by switching to Straight Talk. I love that there is no contract and no monthly bills. All you got to do is buy a time card every month and get great service, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and free 411!
I'm also saving huge dollar with the straight talk unlimited deal.. I can't believe that I get unlimited texts, calls and browsing for $45 and great coverage. really is a great deal!
I can't believe the deal of this phone. For just $45 a month i get unlimited talk, text, web access, and free 411?! There are no contracts, no monthly bills, and no termination fees either!
I completely agree with you timothy. It is giving yourself a raise because you will be sving money using the same service that you have been using. I had a phone on verizon. I was paying 100 dollars a month! And now unlimited... 45 dollars!!!! THE SAME EXACT THING. i swear it really is.
Getting Straight Talk is like giving yourself a raise. Think about it, all you really need in a phone is minutes, texts, and a data plan. That's it. Straight Talk offers an UNLIMITED (!!) plan for all three of these for less than 50 bucks a month. I used to pay $120 for what I eventually realized was the exact same thing.
What I really like about straighttalk is that there are no hidden costs lurking in the corners. I know that every month I pay $45 and that is it. This is a bargain considering I ge unlimited talk, text and web nationwide
There's no gimmick with StraightTalk. The plan is pretty Straightforward at $45 a month for unlimited usage - talk/text/web.What an unbelivable deal. Plus the service is hard to beat. As a matter of fact, the reception with StraightTalk is better than any phones I've ever had. I'm so glad to stumble upon it on my trip to Walmart. Finally a phone that fits my budget and lifestyle!
When I first heard about the Straight Talk deals I immediately thought that there had to be some sort of catch. I thought that the innitial cost of the phone must be sky high for them to be able to offer sucha great deal but that really isn't the case. The innitial cost is next to nothing and so is everything else from there in out, it's unbelievable..
Straight talk really has changed the whole experience of having a cell phone in america! Waiting for the bill at the end of the month used to give me nightmares but now i sleep well on the $50 down pillow I bought last month with the money straight talk saved me:)
he is so right. one tends to worry about the high cancellation fees before considering to move to prepaid, but if one does the sums it works out much cheaper at the end of the day. i had to pay $ 120 to cancel my contract, but had the money back within 3 month of using Straight Talk. i got the $45 unlimited plan with unlimited talk, text and web access and am saving big. was well worth it to switch to ST. also no more extra charges for long distance does the trick for me. well done ST
I've been bitten by the frugal bug so after cancelling my contract I switched to Straight Talk $30 prepaid plan, with 1000 texts, 1000 talk time & 30 MB of data & 30 days service. Not only have I saved at least $60/month but I'm very pleased that you don't have to be frugal with your calls on this plan, you can make a comfortable 5 calls a day which is more than enough to plan your life. As for the texts, my kids end up using all the extra texts in the last week of the month which I dont use
that's right. a very good point with Straight Talk is the fact that i do not have to worry about one day having to pay cancelation fees for a contract. if i suddenly cannot afford my contract phone anymore i had to pay even more money to get out of my contract. no real savings there. now with Straight Talk there is one worry less in my life, and at $45 a month i save a lot of money.
I eventually decided to bite the bullet and pay the early termination fees to get out of my contract...with the saving on my unlimited Straight Talk plan, those fees were paid for within 3 months, and from then on, I've just saved hugely. There is nothing out there that can beat unlimited talk, text and web for $45. It's well worth the jump.
Even if you buy the most expensive Straight Talk phone the saving you make on the $45.00 per month unlimited call, text and data plan soon cover the initial cost of going with Straight talk and then it's savings all the way!!
For $45 per month unlimited with no extra charges I have saved myself a fortune in not receiving any unexpected bills. The service is fantastic too - thanks to straighttalk
I love the straight talk service. For $45 a month I can keep in contact with all of my relatives in the country. I dont get charged for long distance, data, or texting. I am happy with the phone and the service, I personally have the Samsung r355c. Thanks for such a great service Straight Talk!
Im need a new phone and cant believe Straight Talk is so cheap.
With free 411 calls, long distant at normal rates and 1000 minutes and 1000 textsand 30mb data, its only $30 for a month with no contract!. Wow should have gone phone shopping long ago.
READ THE FINE PRINT AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REFILL COVERAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE USED YOUR COVERAGE COMPLETELY. THEIR SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY ELSE ERASE ANY REMAINING COVERAGE YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ADD A NEW REFILL CARD? THIS IS A SIMPLE QUESTION THAT NO ONE AT STRAIGHT TALKS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN ANSWER.
I have 3 kids distributed everywhere, perfect service if looking to save money and not worry about outragious bill at the end of the month with the unlimited talk and nationwide. As a single mom this is one less thing to worry about-thanks, straight talk!
Having suffered " cell phone bill shock" a couple of times I went onto Straight Talk unlimited and what a relief not to have that scary account coming at the end of the month!
Straight Talk gives takes your worries away, you know you have no limits with the $45/month unlimited text, talk and web access and calls to 411 so you don't have to worry if you're going to run out of time in the middle of the month, you know you've no extra costs and shock statements (as with a contract), you've got the auto refill option and the reception is of the best quality available. Phones are very reasonably priced and there's the very desirable Samsung R451C qwerty k.board, mp3 etc
In terms of basic and dependable service, StraightTalk really seems to offer just that. My mom was with a major carrier and she purchased a ST phone recently for work and she says the coverage is much better than expected and totally more affordable in terms of plans - $45 versus well over $100. When my contract comes up, I think I might give ST a try.
For someone who lives on their phone, unlmited is a must. StraightTalk offers a great deal at $45 for unlmited usage. Plus, it runs on Verizon network which is know for its reliability and service quality -a definite win-win. Very hard to compete with this price and service.
This is dead on, compared to what I used to pay on contract, I save about $40 a month using Straight Talk. Like suggested below, dont recharge automatically, just buy more as you need it, works great for me.
Bough straight talk card activated on 7/24/10 and getting you don't have enough fund msg. customer service can't fix it and i'm out phone for 48hrs due to technical difficulty. NOT THE FIRST TIME I GET A LOUSY SERVICE..

WHY ELSE ERASE ANY REMAINING COVERAGE YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ADD A NEW REFILL CARD? THIS IS A SIMPLE QUESTION THAT NO ONE AT STRAIGHT TALKS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN ANSWER.
straight talk is not a great idea... it is the basic idea that you should pay for what you use and that's why it is a great service... instead of them punishing you for giving them service and paying for their minutes... you pay for what you used... it's like the other cell phone companies are parents that say if you do one thing wrong you are going to get a spanking! and i'm like no thanks, tracfone's plans are going and i'm going to roll with them for a while
what can you do with the mobile web access? just get ringtones, wallpapers etc? anyone have one and use the web on it? does it charge for the ringtones?
I worked out that straight talk unlimited plan will save me around $1000 a year! After working that out I went and picked one up from wallmart... easiest way I've found to save money in this recession
BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT! Check out this plan and I bet you will sign up for it. Straight Talk is not a contract so you can drop it anytime without termination fees. But you won't - 'cause you'll be saving a lot of money by using this plan!
I canceled my contract - paid the almost $100 ETF but saved that amount within two months. Now I keep on saving about $50 every month. It makes this plan VERY worthwhile. The service is every bit as good as VZN, I think they actually use VZN network.
Agreed! straight talk has personally saved me close to $50 a month compared to my old phone service and I'm not making a downgrade! I get great camera phones and service, which were available conveniently at Walmart, directly from the Verizon network. Essentially I get the benefits of the Verizon network without the contractual agreement! Great deal.
yes, I got mine at Walmart, and was surprised how simple it was to activate it, and ever since, only adding 30 or 45 a month to my account I keep it activated.

ConnorMom1 11 months ago
I discovered that the best way to get Straight Talk customer service is to go thru Facebook., They have a FB fan page and you get support thru there. You know the truth is everyting is done through social media these days. But seriously I suggest cecking it out. Service on Verizon is great too.
dnr216 11 months ago
The reason for my switching to Straight Talk is that I wanted to save and have a reliable company in which I have unlimited access to text, talk, and mb of data. I purchase a Straight Talk and then their $45 unlimited plan. Now I have no worries and of course no contract to sign and the only thing I pay per month is the plan you want to use. They also offer the $30 a month with 1000 talk, text, 30mb of data and free 411. What more can you ask for.
lachina50 11 months ago
Yeah not having a contract is pretty great. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, of course, because the internet is a bit slow (although very reliable) but Straight Talk gets incredible signal strength because they uise Verizon towers and it's 45 bucks a month,. 45 bucks!
darylb468 11 months ago
pre paid unlimited seem pretty hard to beat these days. it must be such piece pf mind to know that you have to budget for $45 a month and that's that (unlimited minutes, texts and data) - no hidden costs and surprise bills. you cxan budget to the cent each month an save cash (up to $50) by not being on a sneaky contract.

I've had StraighTalk for a year and like it alot. The phones are decent no android but the price and coverages is amazing. I never had a phone without a contract before and now I wonder why I ever had one!

She doesn't even have the excuse that she didn't call because she ran out of airtime!
nat6931 1 year ago
@nat6931 Yeah worrying about airtime and minutes should definitely be a thing of the past in this day and age, it's basically a scam to make them more money. Unlimited plans are now within pretty much everyone's reach now that Straight Talk offers one for only 45 bucks a month.
jdrasdet456 1 year ago
Straight Talk has no strings attached which is why I love it so much. I had to pay a ridiculous cancellation fee to switch over but if I wanted to cancel Straight Talk or not use it for a month, I simply stop paying for it.
TheSuperConducter 1 year ago
No one wants to be locked into a contract anymore. With technology etc changing so fast in modern times, people need the freedom to chop and change ot the best deal out thery whenever they please. If you are on a contract then it is just inhibbiting and you have to pay cancellation fees etc and go thorugh a waiting period when you want to cancel. If you are not happy with something you should be allowed to drop it and change at your own descretion!
pashles101 1 year ago
@pashles101 couldnt agree more...i run through phones like crazy and with my old plan it was costing me hundreds every time i needed to pick up a new phone casue i dropped it in a toilet or ran it over or whatever..I know im nuts!...with straight talk i pay a low monthly fee and i can pick up a new cheap phone from wal mart whenever i "misplace" my current line.
DouggyDubbs 1 year ago
With Straight Talk you can save about $50 a month and you don't have to worry about surprise bills and hidden costs popping up all the time. If you don't like it you're not locked in and you can simply change - no cancellation fees and all that jazz anymore. What's not to like? And the coverage is great on the verizon/AT&T networks as well so it's pretty much a no brainer if you ask me..
pashles101 1 year ago
Once you try straighttalk there is definitely no turning back. Who on earth would switch to a costly contract phone with bad reception and service? Not me!

I have been using straight talk now for half a year now and it is great. I skeptical at first and I thought it was too good to be true. When I saw my mom's straight talk phone, and how she was happy not paying for monthly bills anymore, I got interested. I haven't looked back since...

Most of us have come through some pretty hard times in this recession and learned a few hard lessons about money! I think millions and millions of Americans have woken up to the savings on prepaid cell phones and Tracfone have really stepped up to the plate with Straight Talk and saved us thousands of dollars...cool phones and $45pm unlimited usage is a money saving lifesaver
roshb77 1 year ago
I'm such a fan of straight talk and think everyone should get with the program and make the switch already. Not only is it straightforward and more affordable, but the service is great too, using the verizon network. I wanna get a new phone but not sure which is best, any suggestions? The new nokia smart phone, the E71 looks really cool
flyme2themoon88 1 year ago

Straight Talk has given me some great holiday gift ideas. Some of their phones would make great stocking stuffers and the best part is since you don't have to sign a long term contract, whoever is given the gift can change the plan if they need to.
piiratearg 1 year ago
Now that my whole family has switched from a contract to Straight Talk prepaid plans We're saving $205 a month x 12 = $2460 per year. Me and my 2 kids are on the ST $30 plans and my husband is on the ST $45 plan. The amount being saved is so huge it's a joke. We all use the $45 plan phone when we can to get even more value for money as the more you use this plan the cheaper your calls become.

Because Straighttalk was so reasonable I was a little sceptical when purchasing my phone. I don't know why I was because Straighttalk really does offer first class service. Different people have different cellphone needs. We all think about price, but in fact quality is even more important. My experience with Straight Talk is that it is a high quality service at a low price, which makes it a total winner.
posserable 1 year ago
Sure it's great that if you don't want to use Straight Talk plans you can just not buy a plan for a month or two and not have pay a cancellation fee or a connection fee. At least you have freedom of choice with Straight Talk which is not the case when you're on a cell phone contract.
600luckygirl 1 year ago
Straight Talk, the cellphone company that saves you money. I was spending hundreds of dollars on my cellphone bill. ST has no contract, no hidden charges only good news. A smartphone that is easy to use and understand, and a plan according to your use. In Walmart I asked around and they told Straight Talk was was the top selling cellphone there. I gave it a try and switch. For $45 a month unlimited plan you have it all.
mimilulu24 1 year ago
I always worried that there was some kind of catch with Straight Talk. I have had a Straight Talk phone with an unlimited plan at $45 a month for about a year and I have never been hit with an extra cost or sneaky trick. As far as I can tell, it is just a great deal with no down side.
peetspeak 1 year ago
My kids get the $30 Straight Talk plan sent to their phone every month automatically and that is just perfect for their texting needs and I don't get to stress about checking on their balances because I know they can't text me out of my budgeted $30 limit. At least I have peace of mind in that department.

One of the big reasons I chose the Straight Talk plan amongst all the other cell plans was because I heard that they use the best networks of Verizon and AT&T. @pinksunsetify yeah I was on Boost and I don't have a clue WHAT network they use but I can vouch that the service is very touch-and-go. I switched to Straight Talk and I always have good service and web access because of the Verizon network.

I am usually a skeptic of things that sound too good to be true but after picking up the Samsung SGH-T401G camera phone for less that a hundred bucks from wal mart and paying for the unlimited 45/mo plan for three months now i have to say it really is as advertised. The phone has everything i need and even some extra stuff like a really good camera...

TheLilrascal100 1 year ago

THE SAME EXACT THING. i swear it really is.
nat6931 1 year ago
Getting Straight Talk is like giving yourself a raise. Think about it, all you really need in a phone is minutes, texts, and a data plan. That's it. Straight Talk offers an UNLIMITED (!!) plan for all three of these for less than 50 bucks a month. I used to pay $120 for what I eventually realized was the exact same thing.
timothyw7777 1 year ago
What I really like about straighttalk is that there are no hidden costs lurking in the corners. I know that every month I pay $45 and that is it. This is a bargain considering I ge unlimited talk, text and web nationwide
craftydesign 1 year ago

As for the texts, my kids end up using all the extra texts in the last week of the month which I dont use
rights4animals2 1 year ago
that's right. a very good point with Straight Talk is the fact that i do not have to worry about one day having to pay cancelation fees for a contract. if i suddenly cannot afford my contract phone anymore i had to pay even more money to get out of my contract. no real savings there. now with Straight Talk there is one worry less in my life, and at $45 a month i save a lot of money.
babuschka42 1 year ago
I eventually decided to bite the bullet and pay the early termination fees to get out of my contract...with the saving on my unlimited Straight Talk plan, those fees were paid for within 3 months, and from then on, I've just saved hugely. There is nothing out there that can beat unlimited talk, text and web for $45. It's well worth the jump.

Even if you buy the most expensive Straight Talk phone the saving you make on the $45.00 per month unlimited call, text and data plan soon cover the initial cost of going with Straight talk and then it's savings all the way!!

Suri29ify 1 year ago

If you are still using a contract you are losing out Straight Talk WILL save you money. I know, cause I use em.

straight talk is not a great idea... it is the basic idea that you should pay for what you use and that's why it is a great service... instead of them punishing you for giving them service and paying for their minutes... you pay for what you used... it's like the other cell phone companies are parents that say if you do one thing wrong you are going to get a spanking! and i'm like no thanks, tracfone's plans are going and i'm going to roll with them for a while

what can you do with the mobile web access? just get ringtones, wallpapers etc? anyone have one and use the web on it? does it charge for the ringtones?

BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT! Check out this plan and I bet you will sign up for it. Straight Talk is not a contract so you can drop it anytime without termination fees. But you won't - 'cause you'll be saving a lot of money by using this plan!
I canceled my contract - paid the almost $100 ETF but saved that amount within two months. Now I keep on saving about $50 every month. It makes this plan VERY worthwhile. The service is every bit as good as VZN, I think they actually use VZN network.
SimonCa2010 2 years ago
No you cannot use an unlocked handset on the Straight Talk service.
SnakeHandler1993 2 years ago
Can I use an unlocked device with the lets talk plan?
5starpurpleheart 2 years ago
Agreed! straight talk has personally saved me close to $50 a month compared to my old phone service and I'm not making a downgrade! I get great camera phones and service, which were available conveniently at Walmart, directly from the Verizon network. Essentially I get the benefits of the Verizon network without the contractual agreement! Great deal.
