@LordSaget1234 Eh, it happens. I don't think they got it from The Police or anyone...even though it might sound like it. The way I see it is there are only so many melodies and so many beats...they are more than likely going to be replicated in some sort of way eventually. It happens more than you would think. The artist hears something new while the fan or even critic points out that it sounds like something else. It happens.

i actually went to bonaroo in 07 and missed them. i was rally pissed. ive been addicted to them forever but had you guys been to bonaroo you would understand that things come up and you just cant do what you want sometimes. i was tripping my ass off at the time getting ready to see tool. i heard them off in the distance jamming for like twenty minutes though. it was amazing to hear but i wish i would have seen it.

Peace to Sheetz and Borth - can't wait for a reunion show ... but Matt, Chris, Steve & Joe just command so much respect on stage. i saw them years ago, when i was into punk. i didn't like ska, still didn't (they were playing ska then). rufio opened for them. needless to say rx bandits MADE a ska fan out of me for a night and completely destroyed all the other bands that played that night. DEAD on!

I had honestly never really listened to them much, but then I saw them at '07 Bonnaroo...and it was on. I feel ashamed not to have known this band before then, but they are to me a strong influence and I have to listen to it everyday, very addictive. Love them! And awesome show...legendary.

The guitar solos back and fourth were primarily in blues scales (minor pentatonic) and it's typical for guitar plays to play "blue notes," which are notes that do not fall naturally in the scale, but can be used to pass more smoothly from note-to-note to create a "sliding" or "falling" feeling in melodies. i think that's what dissonance you're talking about. they were definitely in the same key, though. no denying that.
