Ive played both versions, and I have to say the ps3 pales in comparison. Not only the graphics are much worse, but there is much less detail, and some serious frame rat issues. Even some portions of the game arent there. The gameplay is also somewhat different, its very sad theyd do that to the ps3 version. disappointing. u can tell right away they didnt really bother to make it better. its not a question of which console is better, but which version was better made :(

I actually bought this pre-owned for PS3, and returned it the next day because it is, by far, the shittest port I've seen. It's a pity us PS3 gamers need to put up with these bad ports. Others of worthy mention include Orange Box, GRAW series, Dragon Age.

Both system looks great. I'm a fan of PS but the Xbox360 version is better cause of the more stable and constant frame rate. I own the PS3 version of this game and it plays well, but you just got to deal with the jumpy unstable frame rate. Overall still a great game!
No, actually in 2006, Microsoft, paid Ubisoft to make Conviction an exclusive, because at that time, they didn't have many exclusives, except halo, and a few other good games. I'm gonna get Conviction when it comes out though, looks sick! Also, if you do like stealth and have a ps3, get Metal gear solid: rising when it comes out later 2010 or early 2011.

I see some real indepth technical geeky things on youtube eariler comparing PS3 and 360,and turns out Xbox 360 fairs very well in terms of power and has a more powerfull (GPU) but ps3 has more powerfull(CPU) and 360 has alot more lines to program making it easier to add high def detail,lighting,effects etc than PS3 does.
also said blueray doesnt realy triumph over 360's dvd when it comes to making games because the 360 has so many more lines of programing wich makes up for lack of space.
My mate brang his 360 over the other day, and we had the ps3 hooked up same time, and had a look at the differences, and the 360's texturing lighting etc stand out, although there are some things on the ps3 that look better.
On the whole the differences are pretty negligable.
developers said its too much time and money do work on the ps3s cell processor. thats why on multiplatform games the ps3 has framrate issues...they dont use the full seven processors but only one..360 is smoother cuz it runs on 3...if they put the work into the ps3 versions on multiplatform games then every game would look like killzone 2 and uncharted 2 and smashing both the pc and xbox...less anti aliasing and less pipelines on the ps3 wouldnt really be an issue especially if you hook up hdmi
i also forget to mention that since the cpu is so much stronger on the ps3 it puts alot less strain on the gpu making it push the limits graphically and i would rather have that then just a tad bit better gpu..but i do give credit to xboxs gpu for its is an ati chip which is better then the ps3s nvidia chip...ati shows better color,lighting, so on so forth...so honestly i would say that they are really a tie
Well, The Xbox 360's ATI card also has shader model 3.5 while PS3's GPU has 3.0. So the Graphics on PS3 could be pushed to the limit, but can't ever tied or past the 360. Because the SM is holding the PS3 back.
this is not very accurate - you've obviously dulled down the colors and most likely the graphics too on the PS3 version. Colors would not be that drastically different. I mean - come on - SC grew up from the playstation.

Yeah I had this game on 360 and ps3 and it does look better on the 360 in the daylight but in some dark areas the ps3 version looks good. To me it makes a more realistic feel when playing the PS3 because in real life you wouldn't be able to see in the dark that well.

night vision on ps3 is white like GRAW 2 and and the night vision on 360 is the crappy green. so i dont think the switched the logo...but i set my ps3's RGB settings to FULL range in the Display Settings instead on the default settings which is limited...then turn on the superwhite (you'll really notice the difference). it will only work the best if you got an hdmi hooked up. so mine look better than what they are showing up there.

The ps3 version does look like this. Up close however, it's the same textural detail as 360.
This is a really bad port. Other games just need the whole RBG full and super whight on treatment. The only difference then is usually different lag patterns.
Playing the Uncharted demo have to say that this game doesn't even feel like a ps3game, it has too much lag and it's everywhere. Uncharted has better detail in it's seamless Jak3-like environments while running consistantly smooth.
Also the ubi forums have been complaining about the pc version for some time also. If it's actually a problem with the NVidia cards then this may be the problem. 360 is ATI based unlike the previous.
If that is the case then they needed to revamp and optimise for the nvidia based graphics processors.

It's hardly a far comparison when the 360 display contrast and brightness is setup totally different than the PS3 version.

this is not very accurate - you've obviously dulled down the colors and most likely the graphics too on the PS3 version. Colors would not be that drastically different. I mean - come on - SC grew up from the playstation.

Yeah I had this game on 360 and ps3 and it does look better on the 360 in the daylight but in some dark areas the ps3 version looks good. To me it makes a more realistic feel when playing the PS3 because in real life you wouldn't be able to see in the dark that well.

sadly xbox 360 "on this game" does look better. i have both systems and i dont favor one system to the other. i had this game for ps3 for about a year now and i just bought yesterday the xbox 360 version (going to try most of the achievements) and i was very surprised that it does look better. from what is previously said on here...it was the developer... they did a poor job porting this game to PS3 and PC.

night vision on ps3 is white like GRAW 2 and and the night vision on 360 is the crappy green. so i dont think the switched the logo...but i set my ps3's RGB settings to FULL range in the Display Settings instead on the default settings which is limited...then turn on the superwhite (you'll really notice the difference). it will only work the best if you got an hdmi hooked up. so mine look better than what they are showing up there.

It's still occuring alot My friend bought one 4 months ago and already he's on this third 360. Also, DarkSector looks better then the ps3 port and runs much better as well.
Any who has played this game should agree, the texture resolution of charas is on par with SCDA.

The ps3 version does look like this. Up close however, it's the same textural detail as 360.
This is a really bad port. Other games just need the whole RBG full and super whight on treatment. The only difference then is usually different lag patterns.
Playing the Uncharted demo have to say that this game doesn't even feel like a ps3game, it has too much lag and it's everywhere. Uncharted has better detail in it's seamless Jak3-like environments while running consistantly smooth.

Also the ubi forums have been complaining about the pc version for some time also. If it's actually a problem with the NVidia cards then this may be the problem. 360 is ATI based unlike the previous.
If that is the case then they needed to revamp and optimise for the nvidia based graphics processors.

this game sucks on ps3 i completely agree. but there are many amazing games on ps3 and only for ps3: like uncharted, resistance, mgs4, rachet and clank, motorstorm, gran turismo 5, warhawk, and a buncha other ones. also more of the supposedly exclusive games for 360 like bioshock, mass effect, and others are being made for ps3 as well. and ps3 wins in format war. At first 360 was waay better but now more and more developers are making for ps3 insteada 360 so that pretty soon ps3 will be better!
