All the transferred energy from a bullet would still shatter your face or give you brain damage even with the facial armor though.

@zxcymn One thing to remember is that the mass of a bullet is small, so even though it can deal a lot of damage if it can concentrate that in one point, when the energy is spread out it cannot. The total energy contained in a bullet is roughly equivalent to a heavy punch*. Sure, it COULD do damage, but your chances are a lot better then if the bullet gets to punch a hole through your brain.

*The energy is the same as the energy contained in the recoil.
