  • you know what would be cool, if they rebuilt the whole set.

  • I think the studio made an arrangement with the screen writers to write up a scene which called for the demolition of the entire set in the final episode to clear the way for the land to be used to film other shows and movies. At least it looks that way, have a demolition crew come in and blow it all to hell then pile it up and burn it. This is a shame, that set could have been used for many generations as a tourist attraction. Now it's just an open valley, a reminder of what once was.

  • @duleybonkers Michael Landon did not want to see the set show up in any other movies or series so he had it destroyed.

It was at Big Sky Movie Ranch, which at one point had some of the sets rebuilt. BUT they were destroyed in a giant wildfire in 2003.

  • @frenchjr25 You are correct - and there was even a rumor that Michael Landon himself blew up the sets...!

  • they should all be fined for littering !

  • What is it about? I realy don't understand.

I wathced Little House on the Praire many years ago but I've never seen this episode.....

  • @palangajaya Part of the 2nd of 3 made-for-tv reunion movies.

  • Sgt. Carter would have been proud!

  • Ha HA cry babies

  • Laura blew up Walnut grove with her anger

  • You can find the original edit on YouTube. It is even more powerful with everyone crying and the sad music that is used. I did this edit to focus on the destruction of the buildings.

  • Wow! Thanks - had seen it originally, but forgot how powerful it was.
