  • I grew up hearing this song sung by my grand parents and later by my mother. I am so thankful for legacy they left me. This kind of music is pure, it lifts the soul a little closer to Heaven!

  • My grandma Betty loved this song and I heard her sing it many, many times. I love and miss you grandma!

  • You realize, don't you, that Leonard Bernstein, Count Basie, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Yo-Yo Ma, Joey Ramone and NWA would all tell you that would aspire to perform something as honest as this?

  • You can grab the audio-mp3 of this song at grabyourmp3s doht cohm.

  • I'm tearing up. Reminds me of my mother.

  • Porter Wagoner sparkled and shined brighter than the suits he wore! Who is going to fill those legendary rhinestone studded boots? no one ....zero

  • This ones ok but the one that Dolly Parton sing on bile valley songbird move pt2 is better

  • Porter Wagoner was one of the great early country musicians of the 1940's and 50's. This is a fine rendition of Angel Band

  • I want to know if this is kinetoscope advanced at the time of film. The audio sounds it to me. Whatever, it is great. There should be more like this from this great man. He is a favorite and I'll remember Him to my death.

  • very touching

  • Another Legend that the Imposters of today try to impersonate, but fail miserably......."And then there were None"

  • Well said Labaron! Sadly, there are none left that come close to touching the brillance and talent of Porter Wagoner

  • A great gospel song sung by a great country music singer, PORTER WAGONER.

  • gospel music like this isn't heard today, thanks for sharing it, it reminds me of my childhood memories

  • Ohhh my friend, it IS heard today. Just go to any bluegrass show and open up your ears, sit back, and enjoy the glorious music!

  • This is so touching~~~5 stars******

I couldn't ever do this song as good as Porter but I did sing it one time standing beside a friend's casket in the graveyard....

It was so cold we almost froze but it seemed we could almost feel the ANGELS around us. ~~~~Thanks for reminding me. JOaN in NE LA.
