I found a flaw in this... He shows emotions in some of his speeches, although he said he was devoid of emotion...but screw that :P For me this guy is the greatest character in all wow lore
C'Thun and Yogg-Saron is "still" alive. C'Thun's eyes were the only thing that players fought, and Yogg-Saron's mouth, tongue, or whatever it looks like. Can you imagine how big C'Thun is with his big ass eye?
The Titans feared that if they destroyed the old gods something really bad would happen to Azeroth, i believe it would "upset the balance" so to speak. So they just imprisoned them so nothing would happen....it appears they didnt bury them deep enough.
ALGALON the Observer is the most badass dude out there man. And if u go by the warcraft lore, algalon is the most powerful character released in the game so far. Algalon could faceroll the lich king as well lol. We should not be fighting him yet he should be after deathwing even
The reason the Pantheon couldn't kill the Old Gods, was because they were parasites that had attached themselves to Azeroth. Had the Titans destroyed them, the world would've died along with them.
Yup, Gods cause their evil for no reasons, Deathwing and Malygos are already gonna be killed, Ysera courupted my the emerald Nightmare, Nozdormu becomes infinite dragonflight, and Alexstraza? Because we got bored with her XD
That speech at the end totally kicked ass. It reminded of what the blue guy from watchmen said. Huh, if only my equipment was raid level and I had more level 80s in my guild we would totally kick this guys ass.
now, i dont play wow anymore becuz i dont want to ruin my life... BUT! blizzard has totally outdone themselves on this one. Simply brilliant. I dont know how they can top this boss encounter/graphics display. simply amazing.
So then how many times do we have to save the world, and doesn't it seem odd that all of this Cleansing the imperfect world happens right as we begin to do Ulduar. No...no this doesn't add up at all!
I talked to a GM and he said clearly that neither C'thun, Yogg-saron or Malygos is dead. Neither where the C'thun like creature in Warcraft lll - The frozen throne. they are just put out for a time.
If they have the kind of power to "reconfigure"a planet I can't understand why they didn't destroy the olf gods,or at least imprision them on some remote moon, deviod of all life,so azeroth didn't risk becoming corrupted...
So let me get this right. The Titans set about locking the old gods away deep below the earth because they didn't have the strength to fight them, only contain them. They built Ulduar where Yogg Saron would be contained, until the druids in grizzley hills woke him up.
So now, the moral heroes of Azeroth have come and killed both Yogg Saron and C'Thun, something the Titans were unable to do, and yet Algalon the observer was still going to signal all life to be 're-origanzed'?
Almost. The Titans DID defeat the Old Gods, but being what they were, most couldn't truly be killed. So instead the Titans imprisoned them. Yogg-Saron, the Old God of Death, recently escaped. The Titans definitely had more than enough power to defeat the Old Gods. That's why Algalon, MESSENGER of the Titans, is harder to kill the Yogg-Saron himself.
@ibarrakarmy The reason they couldn't kill them is linked to all life on Azeroth. The "Curse of Flesh" that gave most races free will was a plot by the old gods to make the titans creations more susceptible to their control. Upon returning and learning this, the Titans found they couldn't kill the old gods outright at the time without killing those they had afflicted with the curse of flesh, and thus sealed them rather than killing them outright.
@ibarrakarmy They couldn't kill them because the old gods are part of Azeorth itself, so if they destroyed them Azeroth would also be destroyed. The old gods we 'killed' we actually didn't kill them at all, we just beat them into submission. We've only fought old gods in a 'recovering' state, never in full power. We'd have no chance vs one in full strength. Sorry for the double post. xD
@ibarrakarmy According to the lore, the Old Gods had essentially become symbiotic with the world itself - killing the Old Gods off would've done irreparable damage to the planet, possibly killing all life on it as well. So while the Titans probably COULD eliminate the Old Gods, their hands were tied.
Hence also Algalon's presence and examining for 'reorigination' - if it turned out the Old Gods' presence was corrupting the world anyway, might as well start from scratch.
The Old Gods formed a symbiotic relationship with the planet. If they die, then all life on Azeroth will die as well. That's why the Titans refrain from killing them. But this seems contradictory to what is happening right now as they have no problems whatsoever about killing life and restart again. Perhaps they weren't considering that the Old Gods would still have the power to corrupt the planet?
@ibarrakarmy Killing them would've shattered the planet. Old Gods are huge; you only see a tiny fraction of their body when you encounter them. They hold the planet together, and therefore cannot be eliminated without destroying Azeroth.
@ibarrakarmy Part of the reason they couldn't kill the old gods was because they were so entrenched in the world that they became a part of it. Flat out destroying them would cause planet wide destruction. It's the reason Yogg says a bit of what he says when you kill him, it doesn't matter that you stopped him, because even his death brings the world that much closer to oblivion.
players only deafeated c'thun and yogg saron because they were only fighting small parts of them, like c'thuns eye and yoggs brain/mouth or something. the titans emprisioned the old god not because they didnt have the power to defeat him (titans were much more powerfull then the old gods) but because destroying them would also destroy azeroth.
What? no.... If you keep up with your lore you would know that the titans thought that C'thun was dead but he really was still alive, that's why.
And the titans aren't much stronger than the old gods. One of the old gods, which I think is C'thun, supposedly fought 'on par' with a titan in Silithus but barely lost.
i dont know know the individual story of each titan, dunno if it exists too (ill check that out later) but you're saying the titans tought c'thun was dead?im sry thats just not true they never intended to kill the old gods due to the reason i stated in my previous comment. and the titans are much stronger then the old gods, perhaps one old god managed to put up a decent fight but lost anyway so..how many titans did the old gods killed anyway?
I'm not sure that any of the titans died to the old gods, but according to the lore a few were severely injured.
The reason I know about the old gods thinking C'thun was dead was because one of the WoW Silithus quests tells you more about the history of Silithus, and the reason why C'thun was left alive was because they thought he was dead.
This was before the darkshore incident, so they didn't know they had to lock away the old gods yet.
some1 wasnt around pre bc, in the cthun encounter u kill his eye witch annoy's cthun so he come and attacks, in the the cthun enounter u do kill his physcal form
@kimahri45k they could have killed them but that would have destroyed azeroth because the gods had so much influence on the world. thats y the titans decided to lock them up and keep them alive
@kimahri45k The Titans sure had the power needed to destroy the Old Gods, and they actually killed all of their four elemental liutenants and one of the five/four Old Gods, they and almost killed another one too but he survived, you may regonize from Temple Of Ahn'Qiraj (C'Thun). However, the Old Gods corruption had gone too far on Azeroth, and killing the Old Gods would result the destruction of Azeroth as well, that's why the Titans decided to lock them deep beneath earth.
@kimahri45k Well, you're mostly right, except that the reason Algalon came to the world in first place was because of the death of Loken, a former guardian of the Yogg Saron's prison. Loken's death triggered the mechanism to call Algalon for a world evaluation since the death of a guardian is very bad news indeed (even if said guardian was corrupted by an old god).
Medivh is a mage who made the dark portal and Sargeras used to be a protector of the pantheon, untill he became evil and betrayed them to become an immortal evil dude.
you got some of it right.. Sargeras was not just a protector, he was a titan himself. He was sent to az to protect it from the old gods and keep then locked up. But after watching the world for so long he slowly realized that really nothing he did helped and the corruption spread anyway. He went rogue, believing that hate and suffering where the only way. The pantheon tried to snap him out of it and failed. Blaming the pantheon for everything he left and made the legion. God.. what a dick :P
sargeras,(The Destroyer, The Fallen, The Daemon Lord, The Great Enemy of all life, The Destroyer of Worlds, The Ravager of Worlds, The Lord of the Burning Legion) status is: Eternal, Alive
SARGERAS is probaly gona come out in the last expansion back wich is gona take 4EVER since there is like 4 more to come =/ cant wait to fight him he sounds like a beast since he is the boss of Archimonde and the ruler of the burning legion and it says that he is immortal and Invulnerability against mortal weapons
@konaami Sargeras isn't dead, and actually no-one has ever fighted against him, the Titans are possibly the only creatures that might defeat Sargeras. (Who is ex-member of Pantheon himself, he was the strongest warrior until he got corrupted during his mission erasing evil begins from Titan created planets).
The world is like a windows installation after more than 6 months, it has been completely corrupted and algalon has to format C: and reinstall windows...
lol cool, just wanted to ask a question, has this boss been killed? or what's the last boss who's been defeated worldwide? Stopped playing wow 2 years ago but I ended up in this video and felt curiosity haha :D
yes we are...next expansion will be somewhere in the Emeral Dream or the Maelstorm...and i can assure you that titans are going to have lots to do there specially SARGERAS
the tentative title has been said to be something like "pulse of the Emerald Deeps" and that we are going to maelstrom and emerald at the same time. something to do with someone attempting to flood the world causes massive damage in the emerald dream.
They're not bad, they created the planet and it has become completly corrupted (Loken etc) so they're destroying all life to make sure it doesn't get further out of control.
oooommmmmggggg has anyone ever played the original halo his room looks like the starting room on LVL 8, cant wait to get to him.. still slugging through ulduar though
Considering that in advanced math any repeating decimal is assumed to be the next roundable digit. So 99.999~ is considered to be 100% for all mathematical purposes.

the tentative title has been said to be something like "pulse of the Emerald Deeps" and that we are going to maelstrom and emerald at the same time. something to do with someone attempting to flood the world causes massive damage in the emerald dream.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
hm this is a strange lore , this is the first time the titans are " bad"
csecskristof 2 years ago
Wrong.
They're not being "bad", Please go read up on Wowwik or something, I don't feel like explaining this to you.
HazzHazzerd 2 years ago
They're not bad, they created the planet and it has become completly corrupted (Loken etc) so they're destroying all life to make sure it doesn't get further out of control.

"99.99 percent, that's repeating of course"
That's hillarious.
yesitsrob 2 years ago
Considering that in advanced math any repeating decimal is assumed to be the next roundable digit. So 99.999~ is considered to be 100% for all mathematical purposes.
lizbliz 2 years ago
"All Mathematical Purposes"? are you stupid?
jerryfedfed 2 years ago
I don't think so? 99.999~ is considering to be 100%
look at it this way:
1/9 = .111~ yes?
that would mean that:
9/9 = .999~
yet 9/9 =1 when doing math.
same way that .333~ is rounded to 4 on the last digit that is shown.
Doing the same thing on 99.999~ yields you 100.
So, would you care to elaborate on how I am stupid and they my comment was not correct?
lizbliz 2 years ago
daaaaaaaaaaaam i bet the person who said your stupid is regretting it :P
