  • My problem is when I whip my head around I have trouble finding the place I was looking at before. I end up looking in the general region I was looking before, but it's not quite the same spot.

  • spotting is hard when doing fouettes..

  • I always spot when doing turns but i can't do more than like 5 chaines without getting SUPER dizzy, I don't get it!

  • I have the hardest time spotting, i always get very dizzy when i try. Also, my turns are very slow, will being able to spot better help?

  • Ha I melbourne shuffle, this is great now I can attain those incredible spins that no one else does

  • i dance since i was 3 years old (abou 11 years now) and i still can't do it! :O

  • my head hurts(Im dizzy) how come?

I must be doing something wrong

  • @CaroJesusFreak Your probably focusing too much on whipping your head, and in doing that it happens. You need to focus on making usre you are constantly looking at whatever you are spotting. I don't do any traditional dances and I just figured that lol

  • I jus cnt spot! 2 yrs nd I still frgt ta spot nd if I do I act fail! its jus lyk where she go, oops SHE FELL OVA SHE FELL OVA :@ bu i keep at it nd now my long list of pierrutte induced accidents is depelting :/ meh i'll get der im no worse den ny1 else in da class tbh

  • It doesn't matter, you will always get a little dizzy even when you spot. It's inevitable.

  • I do figure skating, and we don't spot, yet we don't fa or get dizzy either, and we spin WAY faster...

  • @iffyiffy123 you may spin faster, because A) you're on ICE and you have skates on, making it much easier to spin. im a dancer and spotting is insanly important

  • I get dizzy even when I spot

  • @leanne3698 That kinda means you really spot, cause it's also supposed to make you not feel dizzy at all....

  • I feel dizzy when I whip my head around :c Is that normal?

  • Haha, this video is really meant for me!! I was searching on techniques on how to spot, and it turned out that the dancer was called 'Vanessa', which is my name too xD Hope I'll be able to spot successfully soon!

Is it normal for beginners to still feel dizzy while doing these exercises? Not sure whether I'm doing it wrongly..
