Beauty and the Beast was such a treat for the romantics. Ron Pearlman also recorded a cd of poetry (as Vincent) ... his 'She Walks In Beauty' by Lord Byron is the best rendition of that poem I've ever heard.

I think that if the series had continued, Vincent and Diana would have simply been friends. For me, more than anything, the 3rd season shows once again, how easy Vincent is to fall in love with. Heck, even I was in love with Vincent. (HA), so I totally understand Diana's character. But it was just a story and as Vincent said, "All stories end.".

what i want to know is if they knew linda was leaving the show for good why didnt they end it with them consumating their relationship properly no flowers opening bullshit and then kill her off it would of made more sense also what i hate about series 3 is the suggestion that vincent and diana might have a relationship NO NO NO !!!!

The DVDs are also available for all three seasons. It's good to see a new generation of folks who love the show. It's a classic. I was so hooked on the show. I got to know most of the actors, went to a lot of their cons. It was totally cool.

Actually, the un-fortunate sad circumstance and it's finality was in the death of Catherine which left Vincent to find his son, bring him Below and to live on without her. Shame on TV executives to mess it up and leave us wanting for V&C to continue

No, try again. Catherine is murdered after having her baby. Vincent finds her just as she is dying and then goes after Gabriel (the bad guy) to get his son back. The show started off beautifully (Seasons 1 & 2). CBS really screwed it up in Season 3. Linda Hamilton leaving didn't help any. It's a shame tho. The show was one of the best programs on TV back in the last 1980's.
