i'm from Quebec,Canada and i live in a little city like the one in the movie and i have to say that highschool life was the same than the one in the movie a lots of gangs the popular, footballers gang, , musicians, rebels lol like a movie......i miss this time i wish i can come back to this time :(

Watching this movie made me realize that such stereotypical roles are still played out by high school kids today. Are only small-town American high schools like this? My high school experience was so chill and easy-going. Everyone was just nice to everyone...no gossip, no drama, no role-playing. This movie definetly opened my eyes and reminded me to be thankful for my "simple" HS days :)

all of you who didn't go to high schools filled with annoying ass cliques and over-the-top drama should consider yourselves lucky. there are high schools sadly that are exactly like the ones shown in this movie, and i unfortunately went to one of them.

i think hannah's advice helps the most for kids struggling in high school. it will end... eventually

Beacuse this "documentary" is nothing more than a fictional film in disguise which uses characters based on terrible Hollywood stereotypes. If these were real people they would be totally lame. You also have to consider the fact that I was being somewhat sarcastic.

Im still not taking what I said back. Do you think that this movie wasn't even somewhat staged? And even then, why did they pick these people? Cause they are amost flawless examples of the stereotypes you see in movies. Just about nobody could truly relate to these kids. It's always the same PC crap. What they gotta do is make one of these set in like South Boston, or South Bronx or sopmeplace slese like that. You know so they could do show kids with real problems and real "drama"

What I was trying to say was that in general I felt that this whole movie revolves around the stereotypes seen in movies about high school. There definally had to be a cirtain amount of staging in the film. Of course some kids might say, yeah she is kinda like me. The problem is that the movie tries too hard to bunch groups of kids together. In most High Schools it isn't as easy to put kisd in these perfect groups because they're all different. Film however isn't like that.
