  • these pick ups sound just like the standard ESP pick ups

  • how do you think these would work in a Fleabass? for slap/general funk?

  • good tone but a lil thin sounding

  • awesome vid man, the only good one showing off the ssb-4's. this video has convinced me to buy them. im not an active pickup guy.

  • no. they are no direct replacement. in fact they only fit so-so on the bass and you have to change the pots aswell. soundwise my experience is that i liked the original pu´s a lot for their massive low-frequency punch but missed transparency in the overall spectrum. the ssb4´s make the overall sound of the thunderbird harder, precise and flexible.

  • Are the ssb-4's direct replacement for the stock pickups?

  • best sounding passive soapbars by far.

  • Nice bass, nice sound, nice everything!!!=) Haha Want one so bad, BTW is that a Mark Hoppus Sig precision bass on the right? Daphne blue?

  • @MarnusW182 thanx. the blue one is a fender jazz, the mexico one from the late 90´s. actually it was white but i let it repaint. modyfied bridge an bartolini pickups. also a wonderful baby!

  • these are DAddario EPS 170 ProSteels Super Bright. 045/065/080/100

  • Hey buddy, very nice sounding PU's. What strings ?? Thanks for the test. Extremely helpful. Thanks
