look that sucks from the russian navy you can hear them but you cant see them by the way skipper you might wanna the chief engineer to change the air filter's than at least you can actually see outside the freacking wheel house (nice vid by the way)
man! those engines are really having a hard time pushing that piece of floating shit. Now I see why those sailors are standing in the back, if the engines dont crank up, they will jump in the water and push their piece of crap back to port...
Notwithstanding the lame suggestion that these Russian sailors are trying to "hide" 1/4 mile from the pier (of which they just pushed away from)... it's got to be embarrassing to be in the Soviet navy and have such crappy engine status that the power plants smoke like a 1974 Vega. What a bunch of losers.
2. 100 man on beach serve only one at sea (not manufatures of shps and weapon!!!)
3. US is not islalnd impire, US has many other problems, so US Ocean fleet will die (I mean aviation carryers and supported ships - about 10 years- when did you introduce somthing new of this?)
The Royal Dutch Navy was hosting the Annual Fleetday. People get a chance to see ships from upclose. Many other Navies also atend(the British,French, Belgian etc. and in this case also the russians
It looks like a steam... is it realy diesel exhaust? Looks like this is result of turning while not moving. Or they just decided to spoil Dutch air! :)
Well, the vessel actually DID have a typical turbine sound when it came through the locks.
Regarding the smoke from the exhausts: it was even there the day before (not THAT much though), when she arrived and took part in the parade, out at sea.
on a side note.. that is the strangest exhaust configuration i have seen on a warship of this size.. seems like a watermuffler as in domestic applications.
That is way too small to be sovremenny class, plus it has two triple launchers not two quadruple launchers as a sovremenny does. Also there isn't a heli pad. I am certain it's a nanuchka, but I didn't think they were that big! RFN classifies the nanuchka as a miccile corvette when it is much closer to a smell frigate. Neat to see a colour portrayal of one..weird exhaust system btw.
Yes it is--project 1234 MRK (in Russian designation), a 850 ton guided missile corvette. This one, judging by stern AK-176 from later versions. The exhaust is from diesels which are cold. This type has 3 of them.
And strangly enough the engines aren't turbines. I thought it had 6 diesels providing power to 3 screws? But yeah the exhaust would be more profound than with standard gas turbine engines.
Most of the class M diesels do have turbines on them, which start to aid diesel usually at more than 1000 RPMs (this vary from type to type). That is why these ships sound like planes at high speeds.
turbo diesel engines and gas turbine engines are totally different ,turbo diesel engines have a small turbine that supply's compressed air to the engine, gas turbines are similar to the airplane ones.
die rook, heeft dat een camouflerende functie of ist de ouderdom van de motoren? :P wel mooi die raketinstallaties van voren (doet me beetje denken aan red alert2)
