  • I mean what up with that crap, about Paul being barefoot, in that picture of Abbey Road, so what if he walks like that, it doesn't mean, that he "died" way before that picture happened. And that stuff about him holding a cigarette with his right hand (even though it was not mentioned in this video) That is just pathetic, who ever thinks it means that that is not him.I mean i'm a lefty. If i were to smoke one i can hold it, in any hand.Same thing about him playing guitar with his right. Its stupid

  • It is a stupid rumor.John Lennon definitely has a point.Absolutely.

  • If u want to see what i think i posted a long commet on george harrisons last testimony part one and also how come nobody has hardly mentioned the sutgeons that supposively did his plastic surgey i think this is a bunch of crap and whoever made all these clues and figured them out has no life amd is totally against the beatles so im basically sayin you r very stupid

  • if you believe that Paul is dead your not a real Beatles fan

like john said if Paul could never die without the world knowing

if you think hes dead your just stupid!!!

  • Oh, Paul McCartney isn't dead - what would be the point in keeping it a secret now? If your argument is that at the time they were afraid of mass suicides, now two of the Beatles are dead. He could confess it now and people wouldn't react all that much - after all, a lot of the Beatles best music was made after Paul supposedly died. He would just be the fifth Beatle. But interesting interview - I'd never heard it before. Thanks for posting it.

  • I don't necessarily believe Paul is dead but John did seem kind of fishy here for some reason.

  • I'm not trying to say that Paul is dead. BUT! in this interview Lennon says that Paul didn't wear shoes in the Abbey Road album cover because he liked to be different.

In an interview with Mccartney on Letterman, Mccartney says that he wasn't wearing shoes because he showed up to the shoot with flip flops on, and had to take them off for the shoot..?

  • @MilesPastTheHorizon well that's probably just because John was being comical.

  • I'm the biggest paulmccartney fan ever! I even seen him live! I think I would know if he's dead BUT HE'S NOT!! For those people who say f John he's lieing... Well than get a life!

  • Paul is dead is a joke..... How stupid do they think we are?

  • Okay I don't care what u guys say but my opinion is that Paul McCartney is NOT dead. I don't care what u say, that will always be my opinion. Js

  • I love Lennon, but he seems fishy on his answers.. Who takes your shoes off on a hot day? Every1 knows that the concrete will burn your feet! There ARE tons of backwards phrases that are auible on the albums! anyone can listen to them! Even Harrisons solo albums! It is NOT random! I ve played 100's of records bkwrds and NEVER heard any intelligable words, EVER! THEY HAVE TO BE PUT THERE! Why dont he just say they put them in for kicks!? INSTEAD he denies them and that's suspicious! Im 50/50 PID.

  • I laughed when he said "we've all had cold turkey" rofl :D And i'm so glad he finally told the truth I wish I could share this with the world!!!

  • @TheBeatlesavedmusic "I wish I could share this with the world" that's what YouTube's for =)

  • @madguitar5 They've later concluded that it in fact wasn't George on the tape. They just don't tell you on the movie, I've seen it a dozen times.

  • Comment removed

  • @madguitar5 If you believed that, kill yourself. That wasn't George at all.

  • Like john said ITS A JOKE!!!!!!! or maybe hes just saying that to cover it up we will never know

  • @perezjc2006

    Lol. xD

  • The rumor that Paul had died was a HUGE story in the Fall of 1969!!!

  • Too many inconsistencies; Paul 'supposedly' died in 11/9/66, yet clues to his death are in the albums Rubber Soul and Revolver, RELEASED BEFORE THAT DATE!

But the 'clues' do exist, it's pretty hard to deny. I got a theory though: I grew up in that gen and a fav pastime of peeps on psych drugs was f'n with your mind; I've had it done to me. The Beatles started getting into pshch drugs around that time. What if, for various reason, but mostly just to f with peeps, they salted clues? PM IS LAFFN

  • @SetFreeJC As I said earlier, Why didnt john just say "Yea we put some backwards phrases in for kicks, we were just playin around."? Instead he seemed like he was hiding something. How hard would it actually be to replace someone with another who is also a musician, sounds alike, and only needed minor surgery to look the same. And in a time period when video was as poor as it was! I havent seen any modern vid with paul that actually looks like hes doin anything with his fingers on the bass either

  • @smilemaker808 I said it in my previous post. => "But the 'clues' do exist, it's pretty hard to deny. I got a theory though: I grew up in that gen and a fav pastime of peeps on psych drugs was f'n with your mind; I've had it done to me. The Beatles started getting into pshch drugs around that time."

If my theory is true, and I don't know that it is, John is just continuing the mind frak with the masses. Simple... learned it from Dylan.

  • @madguitar5

Um, no, dumbass. George HARRISON is dead, so he's not confirming ANYTHING. And if you're talking about that sound-not-alike that appears in that hack-job film that panders to short-bus riders like yourself, then you need to go tell it to Elvis, since he's certainly alive by your standards of logic.

  • @reverendflash Amen, Reverend.

  • At 1:19 he talks about "a new single out folks, called 'Cold Turkey' which is out in your shops shortly." He also plugs 'Live Peace' and "the follow up to 'Life with the Lions'" which would be the 'Wedding Album.' This interview is from late 1969 just after the Toronto Peace Festival.

When he says Sgt. Pepper came out 4 years previously, it's worth remembering that Lennon was often unsure of the dates of Beatles releases in many interviews. As for "Paul is dead...," what a load of crap.

  • @TigerRocket Nice man, I'm commenting so everyone can see this. Please thumb up this dude, too,

  • I am about 50/50

  • what john is saying is bullshit. you can tell!

  • Pid fellas look like fools. Like John said how could Paul secretly die? Let alone go on holiday w/ out the whole world knowing...

  • I think what happened is Paul got bowel illness on African safari and lost fat in his face and keratin in his hair. he does look different suddenly. The PID theorists use several photos that are not Paul to make their claim. The spookiest element to me is how much Mr. McCartney is invested in perpetuating the myth. The whole William Campbell angle seems to be from on high. Weird. The music doesn't suffer. The music still rocks. The band Paul was w/@ the Superbowl rocked. Beefcake hammer on drums

  • @madguitar5 I've watched that movie. I don't believe it's George.

  • @WeirdCandycain You're right. Ihaven't seen it but i know that that's not George.

  • the whole idea of paul being dead revolves around the rest of the beatles keeping it to themselves. so if you ask one of them, of course they will deny it. but also, that being said, who could comfirm it. i dont know what to believe on the subject, if paul is dead, then billy shears did a good job. if not then i guess he's alive.

  • hehehehhehehhehehehahahahahahahahahahah He didnt die

  • Hold on. How can this be 1971? John says that Paul is recording with the Iveys (aka Badfinger) on the Magic Christian Soundtrack. That was around 1969-ish, that album came out 1970.

  • @Jethrofinger Hmm...well. It's probably 1969 or 1971 or somewhere in between.

  • yeah joke ! VERY DIRTY JOKE !

  • .This was recorded on October 22,1969...and broadcast on October 26,1969. This is DJ John Small from WKNR-AM in Detroit talking to John Lennon at Apple in London about the rumor that Paul McCartney had "DIED" in 1966...This story was sweeping the world at this time!!!

  • PAUL ISN'T DEAD!! HE IS TYRNING 68 JUNE 18th!!

  • also, considering the massive tabloid outburst in November of 66 in pop tabloids throughout England of Paul not really being in Paris (three years before the detroit spread "rumor"), and had been in a fatal car accident, I think this is sort of a quiet message to devoted Liverpudlians as well.

  • John's loudly knowing in his head that it's best to keep denying it upfront, and that the people who are really listening and can think for themselves will already be convinced of what the real situation is. I forgive John, and to tell you the truth he might just have suffered as much as Paul's spirit.

  • yea that or you can just be sober and look at the man.I like how John made strong reference to Paul composing a movie, almost like a stranglehold on the first account of where Paul was after his death, claiming his existence with George Martin over in Paris by slapping a name on his movie score composition. You just sort of have to take in John, and how he's struggling to keep his own image while quietly pointing out the fact that if they were gonna cover up Pauls death than theyre not gonna stop.

  • stupid acid heads..? LMAO, what makes them stupid the fact that they looked deeply into something and saw something different than you, or the drug??? Cause I hate to tell you Beatles did/liked acid at one time... It opens your mind, sometimes too much :D

  • Yeah Toronto! Mentioned at 1:41. Rock and Roll Revival. Canada loves all the Beatles. Great to hear John's voice sounding so upbeat.

  • I remember all this...was in the fall of '69...I burried Paul at the end of Strawberry Fields was in reality just cranberry sause

  • I thought that a handful of atrocities by referring to this pair of vermin, but given the situation that you remove the written material from other readers, and decided to discuss finer and not criticize that Chinese waste. So Yoko Ono define as "most hated CHINA THIS WORLD" I can think of too many follies concerning this disgusting creature. With forgiveness.

  • john mentions during the 4th minute that "sgt. pepper was released 4 years ago"...

    so it is apparently 1971-ish

  • bobshenix is right, yea it's like 1971

  • @bobshenix

No because he talks about plugging Abbey Road, which was released in April 1969 and Cold Turkey, also released in 1969. Also, there is no mention of the Beatles being broken up, plus why would he be plugging Cold Turkey and not Imagine?

  • Must be between september 1969, the release of 'Abbey Road', and December 1969, the movie-release of 'The Magic Christian'. Cold Turkey got released around November 1969.

  • hmm i like this video...

  • what year was this?

  • I know it's in the early 1970's or mid 70's because he's referring to The Plastic Ono band. Don't know a specific year. Sorry. I'm guessing 1973 or 1974.

  • thanks so much!

  • anytime

  • '71 I think, as he says

'We made pepper 4 years ago.

  • Ah, I missed that. Thanks

  • it hhas to be before 1970!

  • i think Cold Turkey came out in 1969 or 1970....for sure one of those years

  • 2:44 "That will be really groovey" I love groovey such a groovey word.
