  • hey people, instead of answering questions you should just tell everyone to READ THE BOOK(S) as opposed to spoiling them, they're reall good

  • This is funny, I never heard of this, I have a song called, Son Of A Witch, it doesn't sound like what you are singing, but maybe we can use it for the movie:) wishing you the best, cheers ,

    PS: Look up Vick LeCar.

  • Great job singing, Gregory Maguire!

  • Did elphaba have the son with fiyero?

  • @wickedObsessed22 Yes :)

  • madame morrible should get out of jail or escape and try to rule oz but elphie her son and fiyero and glinda save the day

  • @keithtylercullen Elphaba, Fiyero and Madame Morrible all die in the novel, Glinda rules Oz after the Wizard and Liir and a girl called Candle have a baby who turns out to be green and thus proves that Liir is son of Elphaba :)

  • @JBLoveSong Hey! SPOILER ALERT! Thanks you for ruining Wicked for me. I knew that Elphaba obviously died, but I was only 60 pages in. Thanks so much . . .

  • @TheReadingBuzz Then why are you on videos about sequels? If you don't want to know what happens...

  • @JBLoveSong It's not a sequel. A sequel has the same protagonist, which this does not. It's a companion novel. I could have read this before Wicked, if I had wanted. And it's usually just common courtesy not to go around and posting what happens in any novel, sequel or not. Sorry if that sounds rude, because I don't intend to be, but there is no other way to say it.

  • @TheReadingBuzz Son of a Witch... is the sequel to Wicked..... Which brings me back to my point.... why are you on videos about sequels if you haven't finished the book.... and why are you looking through comments that were left a year ago and moaning about them...? Surely it would have crossed your mind that there would be spoilers considering most people interested in THIS book have read the first one.

  • @JBLoveSong Maybe I wanted to see what people thought of the sequel, see if it was worth it. Is there some restriction on who and who can't watch this video? It's like walking out into the middle of a busy city and yelling "Hey everybody! (insert names) die in this book!" Maybe you don't want to hear them, but you can't help it. If you say "Hey everbody! SPOLIER ALERT FOR THIS BOOK!" And then go on, at least the people have time to cover their ears. Or scroll back up to the actual video.

  • @TheReadingBuzz .why you are starting a fight about a comment left a year ago.... There's discussions about the first book on here... get over it! Most people watching this have already read the first one... and it's NOTHING like going and shouting it on the street. Remember when Harry Potter came out? Well, if you were reading that would you go on videos about it? No. BECAUSE THERE'S SPOILERS! You shouldn't have come on a video about the sequel AND read the comments if you didn't want spolers

  • @JBLoveSong I'm not talking about just me, you know. I'm sure you ruined the book for some other people as well who didn't finish Wicked yet when they watched this. I wouldn't go on a video about a HP book, because they all follow the same plot line and are far more popular the the Oz Years, so there is BOUND to be spoilers from people like you. Doesn't SoaW have a different plot line from Wicked? Anyways, I'm done talking about this, because I'm sure it's annoying other YouTubers. I'm over it.

  • @TheReadingBuzz It actually is considered a sequel, since all four of the books go together under one series. Of course, when Wicked was first written, I don't think he planned to make a series from it, but here it is.

  • @keithtylercullen Elphaba and Fiyero are dead...

  • I love these books I'm reading son of a witch now an wicked was a very good book I wanna see the play

  • The finale song could be called "cleaning up green".

And the scene at the apple press farm called "one plus one equals both"

  • I'm in the middle of it right now.Kids at my school keep on repeating the title Son of a Witch.I'm like YES THAT'S THE NAME JUST FREAKIN' CALM YOUR BUTTS DOWN!It's just a book title! What's their deal?

  • They are immature people who think its funny that its a spin off of "son of a bitch". Personally I love the title and think its genius.

  • Then I WANNA PLAY LIIR!

  • Lion Among Men, in my opinion, is the best of the Wicked Years books. For the last week our so, the fundamental philosophical question raised in the book have haunted my mind. No other book has ever had such a profound affect on me, and I have read a great many.

  • did anybody read "Lost" (also by gregory maguire) i didnt get it and i was wondering what the deal was.

I didnt like son of a witch as much as Wicked.

  • He looks, and sounds EXACTLY like my french teacher. ...They have the SAME NAME...I dunno about the first name, but they are EXACTLY the same. My teacher even talks about his 'partner' named Andy, and their 'children'...

  • Ask your teacher if he's written any award winning novels about green shinned witches that fight corruptive governments lol thats funny...

  • He's so insanely likeable.

  • OMG. Gregory Maquire looks exactly like my photoshop teacher. And sounds like him.

  • but a reprise of the song from a different characters view could work well in a sequel musical. change the lyrics and dont make it the pinicle song of the show and its all good as a connective tool, gotta love taking an MT directing course.

  • thanks for this! this is one of my favorite novels

  • I wonder if they will do a musical version of this awesome book. If they do, they HAVE to have defying gravity in it.

  • um... dude they have

    its called wicked

  • I know that. I was talking about Son of a Witch.

  • um...dude...that was the for the first novel.

  • We need the stupid police immediately!

  • Hello how could they have defying gravity in SON OF A WITCH? Elphaba sings that, not her son, and Elphaba as melted to her death.

  • NOOOO, elphaba didnt die in wicked, and the song could be in reprise..Its like Elphaba sings im not that girl, and Glinda sings a reprise..

  • mm ok lol yah but in the book she does die. Anyway I love Wicked, but really I dislike the ending they did with the musical, I really would have preferred if she melted like in the Wizard of Oz, but whatever I always vision her as melted.

  • @petterwoien Did you read the book "Wicked" or just see the musical version? At the end of the book Elphaba is dead. The musical adaptation has a different (somewhat happy) ending---even bringing Fiyero back to life---when he died in the book.
