@bag04u why not both? they WERE the best artists of their times. the beatles were simply the rage in the 60's, while queen was the late 70s and 80s. Theyre both some of the most famous bands, and brian even said himself that he loves paul McCartney and george Harrisons guitar skills, and roger said himself that queen was inspired by rubber soul, revolver, and abbey road.
hopefully instead of arguing, you could try to see the situation in my perspective, and you can keep your thoughts if youlike
@bag04u Im a big Beatles fan. I know all the words to every song. I learned every song on my guitar. I learned all their history, but Im not here to bitch. I love Queen and I agree with you.
@BingoJack97@bag04u Sorry for you guys, but it's like comparing apples and oranges. And anyway, comparing music (because in both examples, they're doing real music!) should almost be considered criminal. Can't you just appreciate what each of them brought to us?
I agree (they're my favourite band), but the Beatles paved the way for them and compositional geniuses such as Freddie, Brian, ELO's Jeff Lynne, etc have cited the Beatles as one of their biggest influences.
In business, it's held that when someone has an idea, it's rarely the first franchise in the market that perfects it. Why assume it's any different for the arts? =)
@bag04u yo right on it. queen got more rivals than the beatles like led zeppelin, bowie, aerosmith, deep purple, rod stewart i a low way. beatkes only got the rolling stones and bob dylan but queen faced more bands
a night at the opera is 10 times better than sargent pepper, every member of queen was under 30 when they made that record, and as for hot space...in the words of freddy "its only a bloody record"!!!!!!!
I love how all 4 members have their hard rock song in this album. Brian definitively rocks harder, but John is more positive. Freddie's more original, and Roger is more poitical. There's for all tastes !
I get goosebumps every time I hear the phaser kicking in during May's solos...it feels almost as though I'm standing underneath a 747 as it is taking off the ground!
@kalemos Well, I kinda see it as where the Beatles left off Queen picked up the ball and ran with it concerning all the same music aspects. Just my opinion of course.
Even though John never sang lead vocals (he did sing backup rarely), he did still make his mark on Queen with his bass lines and songwriting (one of Queen's two #1 hits in the US was written by him).
You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die
i luv this sing use to listen to it every day when i was just 5 years old back in early 80s, brings back alot of memories, Brian May is a legend i luv his playin on this track
Great song! Brian's sound this one is amazing, especially the flanger during the outro solo, a pedal-operated one, similar to a wah wah, which I believe was built for him.
hey i still got the original vinyl even still with the poster of fat bottom girls bicycle race poster with all the bare assed girls on the bikes heh heh, yes this is still one of my all time favs no doubt , rock on boys !!!!
Queen has so many underrated songs, this being one of them. This song rocks!!! makes me wonder why its not more popular... anyway, Queen is the best band EVER! i miss Freddie <3
Queen wrote several songs, with several styles,in each of these styles they are always the best, but let me say that all of their rock songs are simply perfect rock songs with pure rock sound.
Another One Bites The Dust, I Want To Break Free, You're My Best Friend, Spread Your Wings and this jewel. Theres no other explanaion: John Deacon = Genius : )
No, in Don't Stop Me Now he sang backup vocals. And I think in Somebody To Love and Liar. But Don't Stop Me Now, I'm certain of. It's not Brian because Brian admitted that he hated the song and his only contribution to it was the guitar solo.
