I did this with my phone and now it isn't receiving SMS messages. People are able to receive texts that I send out but I'm not receiving theirs. I've restarted my phone through BitPim twice and manually multiple times. I have no clue what to do.

I tried this process on the LG envy2 which I have flased by cricket? Does that make a difference? I could not find a "shared" file only a "mod" file then "10889" then "ringtones" then "default" which is where I found all the ringtones but when I added new ones then reboot phone, still no new ringtones. Help Please!

On my phone, when i click Set As it says "Non-DRM protected file" what does that mean?? and how do i get it to work as a ringtone?

@neek247 hey, i have windows XP and i downloaded the LG usb driver thing and when i enter the setup, it loads through the setup wizard, a window pops up and tells me that that it was installed, but i cant find any way to activate the program.

Hey, I've tried this many times and I know somewhere along the line I'm making a mistake but everything else is fine, it's just the ports for me, All my port have no description of logo with LG in it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and now I'm only getting ports auto and COM 3. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I have used this process many times with great success! Sometimes trying the process with a different port will help if it doesn't work the first time. I find the trick is to look for the port thet specifically says SERIAL. I also use a program to make my own ringtones called Audacity. This is an mp3 editing program which you can make a ringtone from any mp3. Make sure you save it in a 16 bit format and that it is no longer than 30 secs duration.

Awesome Tutorial everything workks up to a point for me.Now this is the weird part, got the ringtones onto my phone but they won't play when saved as a ringtone.They will play on the alarm which I've tried.I looked closely how you named your songs and want to know if you knew whether upper case or lower case letters with under slashes could be the problem?I've reloaded them over and over and getting frustrated with it.Just to let you know I'm from Canada so it might differ from yours?

u have to have a sd card in when using the usb plug so you need the usb adapter

you install the phone driver first then bitpim then plug your phone into the usb hit no then open up bitpim and give it another try.. if that doesnt work if you can make a video it would help alot
