  • Woow those prisoners could EASILY overthrow them guards ! damn.

Also the lad from Bury seems waaaay to cool n calm to be doing 99 years, i personally think he's working on a plan or knows how to escape.

  • Jesus, 99 years cell for someone with 3300 xtc pills in my opinion but a nuclear bomb on thailand so it fade away niceley

  • LOLOLOL here in holland when you go to a club you need to put your stuff on the table i put a xtc pill on it my jeys and other stuff and I just went in without problems :P here its legal to have 1-2 pills in the pocket lolol....... and in that country u get 5 years?

    Whats wrong with this world

  • @Arnoud1987000 u get life in thailand

  • lol, he tried to justt put ecstasy in his bag. what an idiot.

  • Drugs fuck ur head

  • what they don't show: the guards are the drug dealers and they sell heroin to the prisoners. Organized crime permeates Thai society. The government puts on an 'anti-Drug' show for the American government and in exchange they get military supplies and foreign aid. The 'red-light' district caters to sex tourism and it is run by the Thai mob+military. The girls there are slaves who have to work off debts owed by their rural families. It is very sad to see these young girls degraded by this trade.

  • Fuckin Stupid Mate Sod It All. This Is Just Naff..I Understand Sending Crackheads And Freaks Along With The Sickos To Jail N Prison sure...But This is just dumb, some people have to do what they have to do to survive. Im From Kiev Ukraine and You only on average get like 4 years for offin somebodies arse, with slightly more for drugs surprisingly....In The USA you get send to jail for The Dumbest shyt..Fuckin Thailand Is Wack with thier drug charges mate Fuck The Govt An Fuck These Pig Cunts!

  • They need to change the underlying causes of drug abuse instead of just killing people.

  • @zacharycat why? no government anywhere has the ability to change the underlying causes because the underlying causes are the governments and the people who vote for them. death, however, is the ultimate discoragment...

  • And they say black people look like monkeys, these people are ugly as shit.

  • poor guys..

  • "The Damage Done: Twelve Years of Hell in a Bangkok Prison" - read yhis all that want to understand a little bit more about these prisons.

  • Green Energy for World Peace, is the theme for the novel, "With These Eyes. " The story combines the knowledge behind a sustainable green energy source with Buddhist wisdom to show humanity the simple steps that lead in to a calm & prosperous world.

  • 3:35, the constant clanging of the beat-stick against the bars would drive one crazy.

  • "worse than anything in the west"...have you heard of Mexico or Colombia?

  • nothing wrong with the prison system dont break the law and you have no problems Thailand is a great country

  • death for dealing...mental. Legalise Everything. im an ex-addict of 15yrs and have never met a drug 'pusher', They dont exist...lol. Free everyone on drug offences, then punish the REAL CRIMINALS.

  • Crazy....Here's a though makes drugs legal and let the addicts kill themselves.

  • So you no like bang kwang? why you no like bang kwang it's better than lard yoa !

  • Awful. Brutal.

  • @perbrink3 prison is not supposed to be easy, you screw up an get caught you have to pay the price.

Like the old saying "Dont do the crime if you cant do the time"

  • Oh fuck, that Brit is so damn skinny

  • they do not take mental state into case they are crude evil law i understand 25years for a sane person not someone suffering from mental disorder or under influenza off these drugs blood test should be taken too see if this person was under these drugs for so long his mind had tricked him himself.

  • in Thailand the police are the Mafia.

  • 12:46 LOL " Don't be afraid, Warden chaweng is a very good kickboxer... "

  • UN?

  • Why dont the guards have guns

  • @mehtabb1 If the prisoners were to get a hold of those guns....

  • I would rather be in a nazi concentration camp.

  • @MrRaahe well, they did have movie night in the nazi camps

  • My dream is to live or have a business in Thailand one day so I can stay there whenever I like. I haven;t been yet cos of money problems but I'm saving up for Thailand! Looks absolutely beautiful. I'd never do drugs there but I don't take them anyway. Fuck them English junkies they are no good anyway!

  • I hope you keep your greaat dream as I wish the same as you!

    -good luck

  • drugs are a minute problem in the world...corruption of govt officials is the biggest. and thailand's govt runs on bribes

  • Comment removed

  • so drugs are evil, they ruin society...and ill drink a beer to that?

  • @Uprising771 lol drink a beer have a spliff! whats the difference,.

  • @Uprising771 BEER IS A DRUG THAT ALSO RUINS SOCIETY.............IGNORANT FOOL

  • @Uprising771 depends how they are used! They can be used in the way of medicine or taken abusively.Bottom line its the kind of thinking that is evil not the thing.Drugs don't think by themselves, people do!!!

  • there will be plenty of upper class elite white british gentry heading on over to Bangkok with a bag full of yabba lookin for some of thoes adicted kids after watching this...

    diplomatic immunity Mr Riggs

  • what goes on in Bangkok stays in Bangkok....try n take it out you end up boarding in the Hilton..

  • don't break the law and go to the bangkok hilton

    no sympathy here.......

  • thanks for uploading this video,i had hoped to see it again..very interesting

  • These offenders have only themselves to blame for ending up here, they knew the risks. It's just not worth ruining your life by breaking their laws.

  • what a bunch of savages

  • i expected it to be worse

  • look at a child abused in drugs and tell that drugdealers diserve a second chance.Fuck them.

  • @vagvll drug dealers exist because drugs are not regulated by the state, and so people must get them from crime. tell the state to change mind.

  • So the Thai police could teach the Mexixans about how to clean the place up.

  • @thegrandwazoooo not easy when the Mexican cartels are a lot more powerful then the Mexican government.

  • So the government going to arrest and execute their way out of the problem? Hey, the drug war has worked out very well for us here in the states, oh wait...

  • Is drugs the problem, or are there conditions that make drug use necessary?

  • @hootiepaladin excellent point. humans have consumed mind altering substances for millenniums...and it wont stop. best thing to do is legalize all drugs. the way it was 100 years ago, that automatically strips the power from the cartels

  • @Uprising771 YES!

  • This is Interesting If not a little hard to watch. Im English but I live in Bangkok. It scars the shit out of me to think you could get 7 to 10 years just for drug possession alone yet you only get 5 years for human trafficking. Makes me wonder what kind of people im living amungst. It kills me that there are still people out there who thinks its ok to say certain people deserve to die. Its not ok to take a human life under any circumstances except for assistant suicide.

  • thailand is awsome, been few times, just dont breake thier law thats it...

  • @mataleo27 lol just don't get caught... i remember when i was there i was allowed to do everything, but i had to bribe any single lad i met.

  • @mataleo27 Did you back pack ? ...I wanna go there too (((...

  • terrible. ij'm never going to thailand. smoke a j and do 20 years...... fuck'n asians

  • if you do wrong you deserve it, there is nothing wrong in that Thai people are great you are only looking at one side you frkn mcdonalds westerner

  • Why would anyone rape in Thailand when prostitution is legal? there are brothels and streetwalkers everywhere.

  • the thai justice system is stupid -_- just execute the rapist, snitches and the child molesters!!

  • @tupezee drug dealers should be shot in the head on site

  • thats bullocks, death penalty for a first time drug offence, really? whats wrong with the world

  • @MrPillowfy That's against the law.And everyone should be convicted like that.If you want to sell drugs which kills milions of people, you deserve to die.If you want to kill, you deserve to die.If you want to rape, you deserve to die.

  • @MrPillowfy drug dealers deserve to die

  • I have visited inmates I have come to know through Prisoner Support Service. I met one highly intelligent person who, if he lived here in Australia, would be a well paid professional. Because he was Burmese, desperate, his hands shred from working in jade mines for a dollar a day, he took a "job" of carrying drugs and was caught because he was not a criminal who knew how to bribe police. Sentenced to death, he is now serving fifty years.

  • @winifredatwell fucked up...

  • Josef Fritzl should be sent here for sure!

  • @MrDarksidematter or killed witch ever comes first :)

  • Fucking Thai Hypocrites. If you study enough of the Thai Prison system, you will realise that the guards supply the prisoners with drugs. The drugs you hear that arrive in Australia (as Bobby Halliwell said) come from...Thailand. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

  • I don't think anyone should stay in prison forever. That is an infinite punishment for a finite crime.

  • @saltheadd How is murder a finite crime?

  • @tbiggity Because murder requires killing a number less then infinite.

  • @saltheadd Death is about as infinite as things get.

  • @tbiggity Do you realize how long forever is? Do you really think its justice to punish someone forever for a crime they did? If someone stop committing a crime after being punished should they still remain punished forever?

  • @saltheadd I 100% realize how long forever is, in fact I will use it in a sentence to prove it. Death lasts forever however life does not. As far as your question about justice goes, yes, yes I do think it is fair to punish someone "forever" for certain crimes. I guess I could concede that maybe you should only punish a murderer for as long as the victim stays dead, but that would be as dumb as saying that death is not forever.

  • @tbiggity I disagree with infinite punishment. I rather have someone be punished for 100 years then forever.

  • @saltheadd In terms of the average, or even above average lifespan how is 100 years not infinite? Do you know many 100+ year olds? Now you are just arguing semantics.

  • not many people deserve to die, maybe locked up to teach them a lesson for awhile but not die, i do not beleive in the after life tho so maybe thats why i feel this way because it would be easyer for a religios man to say its ok if he dies if he was really a bad man he would go to hell and if he was wrongly accused he would surly go to heaven? im not ripping on being spiritual, i find it refreshing when people still beleive in god

  • How how fucking ironic, when you arthiest idiots are the REAL bigots out there. All you guys you can talk about nothing but world of warcraft and star wars. Yes your soooooo correct, religion is responsible for all the ills of the world, right? Leave the religious discussion to people who have actually looked into it for spiritual and moral guidance, otherwise go back to masturbating to Kratos while playing God of War you nerd.

  • @c975671 Im an atheist and im not an idiot or a bigot. I have never played World Of Warcraft in my life and i don't like Star Wars and Whats a Kratos. God of war lol I don't even have playstation thingy. I think if a person believes in god then thats up to them and i respect that i don't think to myself "Oh that person believes in god so he must be one of those people who go round with a bible condemning people who smoke and drink to hell. No because that would make me a bigot.

  • @ecomoore Ok, thanks for your input, bigot.

  • @c975671 lol that guys a bigot

  • My point to all this is that, the media paint a picture to indoctrinate/brainwash people into accepting anything the government does, and in times like these critical analysis is paramount. Don't simply take anyones word for anything THINK FOR YOURSELF, it wouldn't surprise me if the guy in the video did threaten to chuck his kid off the roof but we don't know that for sure do we ? we've been presented with no conclusive evidence. Yet the BBC stated it as fact... Wake Up.

  • @thetableswillturn No one really cares what you think anyway. You are nothing.

  • Shackles are welded on permanently for all inmates on death row.

  • I can't imaging being stuck there... Terrible. I would rather die straight away.

  • If a kid was to die from taking lighter fluid or alcohol nobody would be looking to have the CEO of any of those companies locked up. Masses of people are indoctrinated ignorant sheep with next to no reasoning skills. The media does a good job on brainwashing people. Example, there is zero evidence that the guy at around 9:00 is going to drop his child off the roof, he even gives his child a drink, hardly the actions of a killer, yet how many of you watching that clip firmly believed otherwise ?

  • @thetableswillturn Get off the weed numb nuts. "Zero evidence that the guy at around is going to drop his child off the roof" A man on a very bad trip takes an infant on the roof of a house. FOOL

  • Comment removed

  • @BIGFISH7831 I don't smoke weed, another ignorant assumption from a typical sheep. "A man on a very bad trip takes an infant on the roof of a house" I would agree the man looks unstable and i would question why he has taken his child onto a roof, i would also agree that the child needed removing from the father safely. But there's a big difference between someone who may LOOK high and takes their child onto a roof and someone who has threatened to chuck the child off it. You're the FOOL.

  • @thetableswillturn Man takes child on roof. Period dickhead.

  • An educated society free to take drugs is far less dangerous than an uneducated society indoctrinated by religeon. The buddhist monk himself adds weight to this argument by his show of ignorance.. Drugs are not the problem ignorance is the problem.

  • @thetableswillturn If you're an athiest, that's your business, but keep your bigotry to yourself. What has religious intollorance got to do with this documentary? And don't suggest religious people are uneducated. It's YOU who is uneducated pal.

  • @c975671 There's a difference between being religeous and being indoctrinated by religeon. Your brain is going to tell you that what i have just stated is self contradicting but that's probably because you've been indoctrinated. Just about all religeons are mechanisms to control masses of people by brainwashing. Things like the bible contain somewhat accurate history but have been sabotaged and used as a tool of control. Same as the flawed theories of darwinian evolution. Finally, Jesus was real

  • Why are we giving criminals abroad money. He is scum.

  • Damn, they don't fuck around there!

  • i wonder how many of those 10,000 arrested were guilty......cos even if 9,999 were guilty, that one innocent person is too many. and i guarantee it would be way less than 9,999

  • another bullshit war on drugs thanks to the US involvement. Shitty USA has 2.2 million of its own people locked up,truly a prison nation and bullshit victimless crimes like posession of a drug. All the while the intel community imports drugs into the US.

  • @justaman6972 Yea it's a bunch of bullshit if they want to stop it just make it all legal and tax the fuck out of it. If a person wants to get hooked go for it your body you should be able to do what you want to it. When I was hooked on that shit I held down a full time job till uncle sam took an interest in me. Never bothered anyone kept to myself and enjoyed life. Now I am clean but majorly fucked up in an out of the nut house for suicide attempts. Thanks for the help usa just what I needed.

  • European Citizens typically spend around 10 years of their life sentence in a Thai prison before being returned home to serve the remainder of their sentence - usually the sentence will be reduced to a European life sentence after returning home (15-25 years).. Europe does this to mostly avoid having to look after very old people in prisons.

  • That is some hard time, hell on earth,no man should have to suffer such hard shit, realise that they only show the best of the place .The things they don't show ya would kill most people.Read the book by Warren Fellows .THE DAMAGE DONE.

  • @garryscott651 this is what a prison is supposed to look like you fucking pansy

  • @MementoMori5717 suck my dick.

  • @garryscott651 I don't know how to suck your dick over the internet, sorry

  • WTF is wrong with some of you people?

  • If you think the punishment is too harsh, then don't commit crimes.

  • with my whole heart I do respect drug addicts.

  • people that take drugs wld of had no future even with out them...

  • What is the date of this BBC video?

  • @franklombkk I'm pretty sure it was 2003. I remember where I was workin at the time when it was on TV. I really wanted to see it at the time because I'd read a book about the prison.

  • oh i just wish some american prisons would be like that. just imagine how this would wipe the dumb grins off the faces of some "rapper" niggers sitting in there. I always boil with hate when I see how they still act and talk in prison and organize their little hits on ppl. do it like the Thais and they will stfu!

  • @oringent if they did it like this it would be an entire blood bath and rape session with 50 people in one cell

  • @PoppinDingy exactly what they would deserve
