@dr4g0nmanic Sadly economics now days is like that math math math and economist believe that they are scientist, when they are social scientist. I'm a economist and political scientist and have many friends whom believe themselves that economy is the same as chemistry. When not true at all.

Im studying pharmacy and somehow my Univeristy decided that it is important for pharmacy-students to have a course about economics. I live in Denmark and the book we use is called an Introduction to Health Economics. I do not understand anything of it, mainly because it is in English which Im not very trained in. It contains very difficult words so I have to sit with a dictionary looking up every third word. Secondly it is economics! I chose to study a scientific subject. It does not make sense.

Thank you for making these videos. I was concerned that I would never be competitive in the workforce because USM's economics dept. was almost completely canceled. The school instead has made major cuts in the dept. and many professors have quit. Econometrics is not a course taught due to budget restraints. I would never be able to compete in the workforce without the proper education. Thank you very, very much.

For several reasons:

1. You normally don't catch up on everything that's said on lecture, so this helps to fill in the note gaps.

2. It normally takes more than once to understand econometric concepts, especially when the book is not clear, so reviewing a class video like this can really help some people understand complicated concepts.

3. Most importantly, some students from other schools have bad econometric professors, so this guy is actually helping those students understand the material.

Hmm, didn't know some econometricians used beta 1 instead of beta 0 for the intercept.

I took an Regression Course and It did said something about the intercept. Sometimes the program assumes it is 0 because everting begins with nothing.

The intercept could be any variable

blackboards can actually work better if the lecturer is more used to using them, eliminates time waste and means you have to pay more attention at the time than looking at slides
