The new metadyne thumper is now out and they say that they have worked out the bugs - I demoed one a couple of weeks ago and played a couple of games with one. It was pretty cool and I had no problems with the one i used.
As it is right now, no I wouldn't pay $400 for it. But give Metadyne time, it'll be a unique little gun once they've worked the problems out. So far the only problems I've had have either been fixed by the V3 SS piston, or are relatively minor problems (paint pinching a couple times). But, that being said, I only have probably 100-200 rounds through it since I got the SS piston.
Really? I've never had that problem with my Phantom before (and I used it almost exclusively for two years), but with the Thumper it happens almost every game. One thing I thought of as I was typing this, maybe it's the Lelands I use now. I think they are slightly shorter than most other 12ies.
@JJJNProductions I end up doing this with Thumper pretty often. I don't use lelands or crosmans. Its some other brand that my local shop stocks. Not sure why it seems to happen with the thumper. Maybe it relates to the anno job.
going out here next sunday for some airsoft openplay hope to see ya guys

I'm always knocking my CCI changer loose even when it's not in a vertical mount.
