  • ok the music sucks but this helped me alot now i can start my manga

  • Man it takes too much effort to draw a page

with only a pencil, then editing it with photoshop!

i dont think i have to make it harder just for some

    unnecessary effects!

  • @Diabl0Mask Depends on what you want to do. :D

  • @santu662

Well, for me as long as people like my characters

and they can understand what's happening, the events

is the only thing left to make it a good manga

as long as i'm doing it just for fun

  • @Diabl0Mask True. I'm making my own manga right now. :D

  • @santu662

    Relly? me too :)

    i'd like to see yours

  • @Diabl0Mask Sure but i'm still making the first volume. When the first volume is done, i'm gonna upload a video of it. I'd like to see yours, too. :)

  • @santu662

Lol me too, i'm still making the 1st volume

    but i've uploaded some chapters

you can see it in my deviantart profile :)

i'm still translating them to english though :P

  • We have the same desktop! 8D

  • music sucks

  • Thanky you very much for this great video! :D

  • wow i hope it will be released i wanna read it

  • I only have Photoshop Elements 8.0. Will I get the same result?

  • gooood I like it its realy simple but you can remove some steps

like the second layer of lining because you can get the same

    result from photoshop:)

  • I have problems with drawing in pannels, can you please help me? Yours is the only tutorial I found that wasn't overly complicated, and all I really need is the basicest of steps 'getting started'. I was thinking of drawing full length pictures, then using a enditor to shrink them then endit to fit into pannels, then add all the fancy stuff like words and extra effects, but I wanna get some tips from someone who has actual experience first.

  • @DeathsBestBitch I don't really understand your question, but I don't think the resizing is a very good idea, mainly because you'll have a very messy-looking page. Of course, the resizing is useful if you work exclusively in the digital media.

  • @xAlxyz I can spend up to 23 hours straight on a computer, so I can do it. I work alot on the computer enditings anyways, but thanks for your idea on it :3 I'm sorry it was a bit confusing, my brain is fried lately T.T

  • It's either Manga debut studio or Manga ex. Studio

  • What is the name of the manga programme at your pc?!?! OMG I would love to know! Please answere! :D

  • did the girl brake her arm in this manga O.o

  • Hell Yeah! KH!

  • cool, a kingdom hearts wallpaper.

    and nice work

  • What ink did you use?

  • omg u have photo shop and manga studio ^-^

  • Manga studio I mean

  • Is manga a good program for beginners?

  • @saigamiproject are you using the ink pens to shade? or what? (before you scan)

  • that was awesome!

  • どうもありがとう私は自分の漫画を描くためにあなたの教えを使用することができます

(thank you very much i can use your teachings to draw my own mangas )

  • 1st of all i want lessons, i mean face 2 face lessons cuz i like to think i can draw well but yours is awwwwsum :D and and i cant draw actions to save my life!!! :(

( im creating like 8 anime and i can just draw fruntal view pics

  • @chicho12625 practice anatomy.

  • Is there a specific way that you make the frames or is it just like. . . random? By the way, this is a very helpful video.

  • @samielle7823 It depends a lot on how you want the page to look and what it will contain. It's all up to you an you only.

  • What kind of paper do you use? Great illustrations, by the way, thanks for the vid. :)

  • your manga page looks like shit :P

  • @hichamscorpion very helpful comment dude

  • @DarkYoshi17 I'm Only Being Honest :)

  • @hichamscorpion your face looks like shit :P

  • @FalconsFleeting Check out some manga pages at my website here: hichamstudio(dot)co(dot)nr

  • what paper is that plz ans need it

  • Great job man... but... can u please send me a link where i can download manga studio... PLEASE i need it ASAP!!!!

  • @jetbhlock98 manga. smithmicro. com

  • yay kingdom hearts background

  • so wait i have things called inking pens but are they supposed to be black marker like pens?

  • nicely done! :O but isn't the girls right hand's thumb facing the wrong way ??

  • @XIchigoSoulX ugh, cant you see her thumb got blown off during the explosion? :P lol

  • @CloudxTifa1 lol.. explains all :p

  • wow, it must be tough to do a manga book o_o

  • WOW! It looks great! Did u finish it? I would LOVE to read it!

  • You know

Girl's hand on the second frame is kinda wrong. The thumb should face tha other way. Try to do the same position with your right hand and you'll see what Im talking about.

    Just sayin'

  • Where do you get those special markers? (the ones at 0:46)

  • have you Published your work yet??

  • That's almost how I draw

  • I cant wait till I grow up to publish my own work. :(

  • I have a question. In America if you write a manga do you still write it backwards or do you write it forwards? I need help because I'm about to write one and I need to know before I start drawing the pictures. Thank you.

  • @Kellycow9 That's entirely up to you...but if you don't plan on selling it in countries that read backwards, then there's no real point in doing it backwards. It's not really a law...you'd just have to put somewhere on the pages "These pages are read right-to-left" or something. In my opinion...if you come from a country that reads left-to-right...do the manga left-to-right.

  • @Kellycow9 I would do it in the original Japanese syle, (it makes it seem more exotic per say) plus try using a pen name, when buyers see a japanese name they think "oh its a REAL manga"

  • do u scan the page on the computer when its ready?

  • I'm a beginner at manga, but I wanna make my own series.

  • wow so much work... I dont even have manga studio, is it free or do I have to download it or buy it? If buy, how much?

  • how do you open your hand draw page on to manga studio

  • after you scan, how do you get it into manga studio?

  • @KawaiiChu24 After scanning I save the page as a photoshop .psd file then I can export it to manga studio

  • First thing to do is LEARN HOW TO DRAW AS GOOD AS YOU!

  • haha we have the same background on out desktop computers. :)

  • thats alot of hard work with just one page and i can't even image myself doing a whole chapter

i really admire your patience dude +your drawings ^_^

  • dude awesome stuff! :)

  • Ayumi's right hand is backwards.

  • you draw very well.

do you have any place where i can see your manga??

  • Whats the title of music please?

  • you can also use a lightbox to do inking on top of penciled paper if you whish to keep original penciled paper.

or some skip inking process by using very clean dark pencils convert to greyscale then adjusting brightness and contrast or use a vector tracing lineart program. sometimes I like the hands on way how the ink flows out of the pen. A light wispy hand gives light wispy lines and less bleeding. A heavy hand give heavy line and possible bleeding on paper. Great vids saigamiproject.

  • You make this look easy =[

  • how can you transfer a 3d drawing into a 2d screen

  • @usemoselnitro I'm not using 3d drawings, try to search for a tutorial

  • @saigamiproject i mean,

how can you put a hand drawn manga page into a screen

    pleese tell me

  • @usemoselnitro Oh I get it now, you just have to scan them by using a scanner.

  • @saigamiproject

shit! i dont got one!! FUCK!

    lemme use yours :P

  • @saigamiproject glad my scanner is a printer as well because where I'm from they sell sepretly

  • whos ayumi?

  • @usemoselnitro One of the main characters of this manga (the girl in the bottom-left panel)

  • OK I have a few questions

Is there a particular pencil needed to draw manga?

Did u draw the speech bubbles urself?

Do u HAVE to use Photoshop to insert the speech?

Is manga studio free and virus free?

Does manga studio allow u to trace the lines? If it does is it more convenient?

What is the name of the pen u use to trace the lines?

Please please answer my questions or I won't b able to finish my manga.

But ur tutoral is still awesoem

  • @kumikomoonlight So answers in order:

    - no, you can use any pencil you like (but I recommend Hb or B)

    - Yes I drew them

    - No you can use many other programs, like gimp, paint, mangastudio etc

    - It's virusfree, but not free (it has a trial for free)

    - yes with layers you can do that

    - manga studio has many pens, choose whichever you like the best

  • @saigamiproject thxxxx

    ur awesome

  • did you buy the manga studio ?

  • @hatching1566 nope, I got it from a friend

  • this helped me alot, thank you

  • what are the names of the markers you used???

  • @lnx1515 I use copic multilner SP. If you wanna know more about my tools, check out an other video of mine named: Tools for Manga and Publishing

  • What's the name of the song? Your manga drawing is excellent! Thanks for the tutorial!!! :D

  • @spyrotamer Hakasama no Chou from the OST of Jigoku Shoujo. And thanks :)

  • I really need help with my side views too. *sigh* I need to improve so much, I am going to a costume party later today, so I am going to bring my comic and be Natalie, I dressed up as her at school too, it's almost Halloween I can't wait I am going to draw Ayumi, and Reiji in costumes, I think that will be fun well talk to you later my friend.

  • Lol that costume party sounds like fun :) In Hungary we actually don't even have Halloween, but nowadays people started to make costume parties, and you can buy halloween stuffs, like pumpkins etc. so year to year we're getting more and more halloween-addicts :D Wow I would be really happy if you would draw them :D I'm really looking forward to it ;)

  • Oh well if I could I could help you out in any way if you need to talk I am always here. Your manga is so cool I love them, I don't know what to do though since I am in the United States, so there are so many publishing companies here, I am so nervous I can't message my series yet because I had to restart since my old version really stunk I was thinking of putting both versions up and getting like people's oppions of which idea was better the drawings used to look like potatoes in the old one.

  • Thanks, well do you have messenger? We could talk there :) Hungary is a small country so here are only a few publishing corps that are interested in mangas... Restarting a serie is a good practice, I also started Saigami again (I started to draw it around 4 years ago, my old drawings sucks XD) but it's a good idea, to show both of them, at least people can see how much have you improved :)

  • Thanks you so much you are a great friend. Where did you send them too. I am so nervous I don't have the time to practice with school and all. *sigh* Oh well want me to send you an okay summary. I would really like your oppion, you are one of my idols so to speak, you have helped me so much thank you. Where can I buy your manga, there are so many stores around here that sell manga that it is hard to know where to look.

  • I'm glad if I could help you :) Well I send the project to the Assotiation of Hungarian Comic Publishers, and then their president sent my works to the publishing corps which are interested in manga-like comics. I'm also doing it besides college, so sometimes I can't work for many days, but I'm trying to make enough free time so I can draw. Okay, send me anything you want, I'm interested in it :D Well my published one shot can only be bought here in Hungary, it's also hungarian languaged.

  • Great work, that looks awsome. I have a long way to go. LOL Good job.

  • Thanks this helped alot but I just relized I can't do half of this stuff. How did you get the program? Where did you get your inking pens? I want to know everything as a beginner in the manga drawing I need help, I found several publishers I like but I haven't messaged them yet I am to scared, and my manga is no where near ready could you mabey uhhh tell me some of the things you did to get the publishers to like you idea.

  • Well, then the most important thing is to practice like crazy ( as I do too :D) I got the program from a friend, and I bought the inking pens in an art supplies store. I sent to the publishers sample pages, story and character descriptions, and then they sent me back their opinion about what's good, what needs to be better/to change, and then they gave me an offer.
