I saw what appeared to be a large ufo over 84 one night in the late 1980s. I pulled my car over, and was certain it was a large craft. then I got out of my car, and heard someone in the sky yelling 'turn right!" Then i realized these were ultra lights. I talked to an old timer in the area who knew some of the pilots who were flying out of stormville and mahopac. So much for the ufo!

I talked to this man in 1989 after I had one sail close over my head in Norwalk, CT. CUFOS in indiana (at the time) referred me to him. I was familiar with the book he wrote with Bob Pratt and J Allen Hynek, "Night Siege" about the Hudson Valley UFO flap .

I am a surveyor, I met many people through the 80s who had seen this 'boomerang' frequently, and of course, did not report it...Who do ya report it too, and who cares if ya want to get home on the Taconic or Merrit?
