please reply! how do you use the acrylic paint? the one i bought is really thick and do you need to like, mix it in water or something? i tried red for my R34 calipers and it takes forever to get it completely dry. please reply! :)
@ashwin1229 Hi, I used an airbrush machine to paint a lot of the parts, but the callipers were painted by hand. I simply used a paint brush and did several coats until it looked good. Hope that helps! good luck!
@ashwin1229 For the callipers I did not use water. Just used the paint straight from the bottle (make sure you mix the paint with a toothpick to get to the settled paint at the bottom of the jar). But if you are going to use an airbrush, then you will need to use tamiya acrylic paint thinner. Hope that helps!
@DiecastOasis - I honestly cannot don't remember how I did it, it was a while ago. But I do know that the body did not go on easy. I had to use quite a bit of force to make it snap in to place. Good luck.
@lukemorron Hey Thanks! I'm glad my video helped you decide to finish the build! take some pics and post a video if you are able to. It would be great to see!
@thucster5 Hey, no the seats did not come pre-painted. Nothing comes pre-painted. I had to hand paint those myself. The original colour of the plastic body was grey, and that needed to be painted too. As you can see from the video I decided to paint the porsche white instead. Hope that helps!
Thanks. The build went together pretty decently for the most part. The only probelm areas were the fit of the rear shocks, and trying to get the body to snap over the chassis. This took some force but eventually got in to place fine. Overall it was a quick and cheap build.

How do you recommend putting the body on the chassis? Back then front, or front than back. What exactly did you do?

Thanks! The 959 is my favourite Porsche of all time as well. With over 450 horsepower it was a revolution for its time.
