Started off at 15' 4" with the wheels on and got it down to 12' 6" by removing the them, trailer pulled out to 60'. I drove the truck out to the M6 and beyond and yes out through the route you said, probably wouldn't have gone round the tight bends without the all steering trailer axles . Escorted out to the motorway by a young lad from Rawcliffe's who was an absolute star holding up the traffic where necessary.
as an ex resident of Millom I'm wondering how they drove it out along the narrow roads once they got out past Haverigg! It could't possibly have gone the Duddon Bridge route surely?
